History

Established in 1999.

Started as a business development and consulting firm, Create More has grown into San Francisco’s Premier Apple Specialist. After 14 years in business and approaching 12 years at the same SOMA/​South Beach location, Create More continues to grow and find ways to work with you to enhance your Macintosh experience. A real store that you can walk in to and browse products, no appointment repair service and a training center are just some of ways we make your decision to work with Create More an easy one.

At Create More, we want to be more than the Apple computer dealer where you buy your new Macintosh, iPads, iPods, peripherals and accessories. We want to be your source for support and information too. When you refer to your friend who knows about computers, we want that to be us!

Worst customer service ever. Impossible to call and get a real human to talk to you, and they don’t return calls. Lazy repair techs as well, would not even trouble shoot the issue my computer was having. Also, worst possible location as far as convenience and parking go. ALL BAD. Go somewhere else.

We had the best experience here. The staff was so helpful — we ended up finding — and buying — more than expected. They had some great deals going on when we were there and we are really happy with our purchases — we got a beautiful case for our computer and a new bag. They have a great selection of Apple accessories in the city — definitely worth checking out.

I used to really like this place, a whole lot. In fact, my company and I have spent thousands of dollars here. Today that relationship has ended, and I find that the customer service here is dismissive, rude, and unfriendly. It wasn’t always like this, so I’m taking my business to a much better place, now.
Why am I doing this?
Well, it was all over a cell phone cover. Funny how the smallest things will completely destroy a relationship with a business. I walked into Create More on February 19th 2016 and found that some of the iPhone 6 cases they were selling were offered online at a lower price. I politely approached and asked two sales people if they could match the price (a 5 dollar differential!!!) and they said, «no. we don’t do that.» without asking what the difference in price was, how many I had planned on buying, etc. I was actually planning on getting 12 cases for new hires that I just onboarded; it would have been a nearly 500.00 dollar sale. It’s 2016, «price matching» is a VITAL tool that brick and mortar stores have to embrace in order to remain competitive with the online market place. Never going here again. Stay stuck in the past. Bye bye — much better and friendlier sales people out there and not on the edge of town across from a McDonalds.

I am reluctant to give this place 1 star after my experience today. This used to be my favorite computer place for many years. I referred friends and we had wonderful experiences updating hard drives etc with Allie the previous person who managed the store.
Now they have changed personnel who don’t seem to understand customer support. I was unable to get through on the phone, website so was forced to go into the place in person to be subjected to rudeness and a lack of sensitivity to getting one’s computer back.
Save yourself time and aggravation. I got my computer out of their shop and will never go back.

This place is going way downhill. They no longer provide a useful iPhone repair service — it takes them a week to turn around a repair and they don’t give you another loaner phone while you wait.

Brought my macbook in for repair when I found that Apple was doing free warranty fixes on the problem I was having. They were super nice, did the diagnostic, and fixed everything within two days even though it was the holidays. Nothing but nice things to say and would be happy to bring my computer back in the future.

A young and motivated team with good service. My MacBook was fried, they changed the motherboard, battery, and hard drive, so in a week I had my computer back in working condition. When I found that my old hard drive was still functional, I returned the new one and they accepted it back. Thank you Create More for getting my computer fixed!

I would give 4 or 5 stars for their retail space and the very helpful cashier, but the service was 2 to 3 stars at best. I waited 15 minutes for the «technician» to get around to talking to me about my needs while she talked to some random guy across the store about non-​technican stuff. I found her attitude irritating at best when she did help me. My issue with the trackpad is a well known one and there are numerous fixes/​causes outside of the trackpad itself failing. A new one would fix it, but so would cleaning, software settings or resetting the mounting screws. She was a generic exasperated 20-​something who liked to call my 2012 machine crappy and old. Her knowledge seemed basic at best, but she was not shy to share her opinions as fact. She was completely unwilling to consider there may be other fixes besides complete replacement for $ 215. I wouldn’t leave my machine with her solely based on the fact that she doesn’t seem that skilled. Macbooks are easy to replace parts, but most of the time there are better ways to fix it or the cause isn’t so obvious.
Their retail space, as I said, is really quite good. They have a lot of gadgets you usually only see online and a variety of fun bags/​cases. Prices aren’t comparable to what you’d pay for the same online, but its great to see the things in person and support a local shop.

My workplace,
, is all Mac and I used to go directly to the Apple store for service needs and purchases. Then I discovered Create More, an authorized Apple service and sales center. These guys and gal are super knowledgeable, helpful and quick! My office recently moved much closer to the Apple store, but I’d much rather take the time to travel to Create More. Check them out, you won’t be sorry!

Create More is hands down the best Apple-​oriented store (much better than the Apple store itself) in SF. Great selection of high-​quality products and accessories. I’d say that if you found the highest quality accessory in the Apple Store, that would form the baseline for Create More, with the vast majority far above what is already a high standard.
Instead of having the most [insert product type here], Create More consistently has the best. It won’t be cheap but like anything, you get what you pay for. Great service, knowledgeable staff and good taste.
I haven’t used the other part of the business (service-​side), but based on the store, It’d be my first choice in recovery or repairing my Mac.

Was recommended by Apple to go here. I called twice during business hours, but no one picks up or returns messages. When I showed up today, Sam told me they don’t do what I needed. I asked why they don’t answer their phone and he said they’re too busy. There was no one in there.

This place is an amazing business. Broke the glass on brand new iPad Air 2. Apple Store of 100 employees insisted that without an appointment, which I could not get within the next week, I could not be helped. Found this store on Apple website as rare authorized Apple dealer.
Friendly, very competent, old fashioned expert service. Took it in yesterday, picked it up today! No extra charge and a pleasant experience.
Would go there for any computer or audio need. There may be more but that is all that I saw.

Hello–
Today I was trying to complete the system updates on my phone and called AT&T Tech support for help. They neglected to tell me that I should wait until I get to my personal computer to ensure if anything happens that I will be able to restore my phone. You would think that but, NO they didn’t and I was the 1⁄10 people that had they’re phone crash. Mind you I’m out of town for the next few days and don’t have my personal laptop. I was super panicked & remembered there is an independently owned APPLE store around the corner from my job. I went there in full stress mode. When I walked in Sam greeted me and asked what was going on, I explained my situation and he said they could help. He did IMMEDIATELY inform me that I would be loosing all my info unless it was previously backed up. That’s when I began to cry. I was in shock, all my photos, text & everything that was not saved would be gone. Sam ran and got me tissues and assured me that I would have my phone would be restored and he was very sorry for my loss of memories. Next thing I know Allie pops up and again reassures me that she will be able to help. Within the hour my phone was fully restored. I can’t begin to descried how relived I felt and grateful for these people. They were sympathetic and extremely patient with my questions. When I picked up the phone Allie walked through the entire process with me until it was ready to go.
To add the icing on the cake they charged me $ 25 bucks. Needless to say this place is amazing and I look forward to purchasing my MAC with then very soon!

They are fair. They are ridiculously cheap, and fast.
When they fixed my computer I could not believe how low the price was, $ 50!!!
Come ON!!! I even said out loud ‘Wait, WHAT?“
Allie was kind enough to give me lessons on how to synch my devices, and Sam, who also works there are just the friendliest crew ever!!!
I cannot say enough good things about this place (and I haven’t even mentioned all the cool apple/​computer things that they sell… wait. I just did.)

My 5 yr old Mac died. I figured it was a hard drive problem and it sure was.
They took it in, charged $ 50 for the diagnostic and in a day or so I got an email telling me that it needed a new HD plus, if I did not have it backed up and wanted to retrieve the data, starting cost would be $ 150.00. That is a fair cost actually. Retrievals can get into the thousands pretty easily.
The communication is a bit disjointed, especially between the front and the techs in the back. Email is the most realiable way to get info from the techs, I would not even bother to pick up the phone.
Although it took about 5 days or more they ended up transferring just about all the contents of my crashed drive onto a new one with very little loss of data or applications. Best of all they kept the original cost estimate, even though I’m sure it took them a lot longer than originally estimated. They seem like really honest, and hard working folks who go the extra mile for their customers.
The store also has a really great selection of merch, especially their bags, and a whole mess of goodies for Mac lovers.

Great customer service and great prices. Best part, no lines and chaos like the Apple store. Took my MacBook Pro there after it crashed on me. I walked in and they did diagnostics on the spot and told me within 10 min of walking in what was wrong with it. Everyone there was super nice and friendly, no BS, and just did their best to help me and provide me the best more cost effective solution to my problem.
This is definitely a go to spot if you are having trouble with your Mac products.
