My first visit to Evelyn was about 8 years ago after separating my shoulder. I went through the typical PT and after a few months, decided to try acupuncture — I picked Evelyn because she was close to where I lived and at the time, took my insurance(this was all pre-Yelp, so I had no reviews to check out). After a few treatments of acupuncture combined with cupping, my shoulder was just like new. My first visit took about 1 ½ — 2 hours. The first half hour Evelyn asked me about my entire medical history, including my family history. I have never had any medical professional go into such depth and display such knowledge. Fast forward 7 years — the location has changed, and insurance is no longer accepted, but I went back after having pretty serious knee pain. After just one treatment, I left her office and felt like I could run a marathon that night. Fast forward one more year after knee surgery for a tear and some issues with my Achilles, I have done a few treatments with Evelyn and feel immediate results each time. I have to say the visits are not without some initial pain(I HATE needles), but overall I see results in my knees as well as overall stress reduction. I would highly recommend Evelyn to anyone who is thinking about trying acupuncture. It is not cheap, but well worth the money for the results. She has a good hand on Western medicine as well as Eastern philosophies.
