I am successfully treating pain syndromes (sprains, strains, chronic pain, arthritis, broken bones, torn ligaments and tendons, neck and shoulder tension), gynecological problems (yeast infections, urinary tract infection, cramps, PMS including bloating and breast tenderness, headaches, emotional swings, excessive bleeding and clotting as well as amenorrhea and infertility, inducing labor, menopause), night sweating, hair loss, hives and skin rashes, peri-​oral dermatitis, acne including cystic acne, kidney stones, insomnia, palpitations, Bell’s Paulsy, Shingles, Herpes Simplex, Thyroid dysfunction, intestinal parasites, constipation and diarrhea, hemorrhoids, colds and flus, bronchitis and other kinds of cough, sinus infection, asthma, carpel tunnel, migraines, high blood pressure, alcohol drug and nicotine withdrawls and detox. This is only a brief summary of the ailments I am helping people with.

I have another office in the Outer Sunset and also am making housecalls.

History

Established in 2005.

I have been in private practice since 2005. Before acupuncture school, I worked at UCSF in the Radiology Department so I have a strong background in Western Medicine but I never felt as if I was helping people directly in my old line of work. I had very bad allergies when first moved to SF in 1998 and acupuncture quickly got rid of them for good and I HAD to know how this worked. I quit my job and went to the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, Ca from 2001 – 2004. I worked with Efrem Korngold and Harriet Beinfield at Chinese Medicine Works during this time. I also studied in China in 2007 in several hospitals in Hangzhou. I am thrilled to be doing the work that I do and I would be honored to help you balance your health.

I was born and raised in Miami Beach, FL. I moved to San Francisco in 1998 to work at UCSF Radiology. I worked there for 4 years before I began to study Traditional Chinese Medicine. There are many things that interest me including yoga, Qi Gong, surfing, hot springs, Reiki, traveling, all kinds of music and I really LOVE animals. I have a 14 year old German Short-​Haired Pointer who I walk on the beach every day. We both love the ocean and get great joy in camping together when the weather permits.

All I know is Jana is a true health warrior. I have been treated for numerous ailments over the years, all resolved gently just as my super sensitive system requires. I can not say enough great things about Jana. She is a true healer and a gentle spirit. I have complete faith in her and always leave feeling totally blissed out. If you are injured or not feeling your best, give Jana a try. You will not regret it. New to acupuncture? She’s your human, gentle, patient, calm and understanding. Jana is gentle and very effective. I had issues with my feet (joint inflammation and compressed nerves) which are nearly healed. Her blend of acupuncture, herbs and lotions has essentially made my allergies go away as well and decreased hyper sweating. She knows her stuff and is a good listener. She doesn’t judge and is supportive. I love going to see her once a month for maintenance because she is able to help me with whatever is going on, physically, mentally and spiritually. I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you, Jana.

Jana is wonderful! Both as an acupuncturist, and as a human being.
I started seeing Jana to help alleviate tension /​stress that I had been carrying in my shoulders and neck for years. And in just a few sessions, she helped me to reduce that tension to levels I couldn’t ever remember having.
She’s great at introducing you to the key concepts in Chinese medicine, and at helping you develop a better understanding of the health patterns of your body.
Now that I’ve seen the benefits of acupuncture, I continue to see her regularly for general health and well being. It feels great to walk out of a session with her and feel a new sense of balance. I’m so glad to have met her!

I’ve never had acupuncture before but always wanted to give it a try. I heard great things about Jana from so many people I decided to go and I’m so glad I did. She has helped me out with many things in the short time I’ve been going. I’m a computer programmer, DJ and someone who thinks way too much and I spend a ton of time in front of the computer or hunched over the decks, and have sleeping problems. Since I’ve been going my muscles feel so much better, I sleep better and throughout the day I am more clear headed and focused which is so important in my line of work. She’s really knowledgeable about her work as well as how to supplement the work she does with herbs. And going to see her is so nice, her office has a great vibe and she’s such a good person to talk to. She is always attentive and receptive and I feel good just being there.

I came to Janna with acute hives problem. I was in and out of hospitals for 4 months and was really frustrated with the effect of western medicine.
At first, I was skeptical to do accupunture since I’m not a fan of needles but after my first visit with Janna, my fear disappeared. She’s so gentle and listens to my problem as if it was her own and treated me with care. She is genuine and have deep knowledge with chinese herbs. The first time I went to see Jana I was suffering from extreme back pain from an injury I’d sustained while jumping off a bridge into a river (yes, I would jump off a bridge if all my friends did it)! Before my session I was in so much pain sitting, standing, walking and even lying down were challenging. Immediately after the session I felt some of the pain subside and after a week the pain was completely gone!
After that I began to get treated from Jana for other health issues. Jana is an extremely professional, knowledgeable and intuitive practitioner. She accurately diagnoses medical conditions and doesn’t give up treating them until they are resolved. I m a surfer and I have back problem for about 15 years. I try several different ways to relief the pain and feel better when I start to feeling pain. I m not really a big fan of our standart medicine and pills so I m always looking for natural ways to help me to heal my back. Jana its been one of my best assets when my back goes wrong. Last time I see her I couldn t even walk straight, I did with her a very nice accunputure session and sounds strange but more than 50% of the pain was relieved after my session. I follow her instructions about drink lots of water, bath tub and relax. Also she gave me some good herbs so that will help in the healing process. So today here I m, a week later, without any pain, ready to surf again, but unfortunatly I ll have to work, and I m really happy that now I can work and surf again., THANK YOU JANA.
