Having a smog test done is not something anyone likes to do… But they make the process painless here. I drove in without an appointment and was greeted right away. Mention you heard of them on Unilocal and you get $ 10 off the service.
The guy told me it would be a 20 minute wait. I ran across the street to get a latte and came back. My car was already done! They really quick, easy and efficient. I highly recommend.

I arrived at 9:15 on a Thursday unannounced and had my car smoked in what seemed like 10 minutes. I’m going to remember this place.

Quick, affordable and friendly service! As mentioned by other reviews, this place is the place to go for Smog Test. Drove in and the nice gentleman told me it will take 20 minutes. The car was done in less than 20 minutes. Took the paperwork to DMV and got my registration renewed. Will definitely go back here on my next smog test and tell all my friends about it too!

I’m an avid Unilocaler and searched «cheap smog» in San Francisco and came across this place. The price & hours were great so off I went to smog my 1999 Sienna van. It passed without any problems. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. The tech was courteous and professional. I had my son bring his car to get smogged too. All you have to do is show the ad in Unilocal to get the discounted price, nothing to print, save a tree. What more can you ask for? Thank you Folsom Smog Test Only.

Came in around 4:45 pm no appointment, filled out the form gave keys to the guy, sat down started typing a text and BAAAM! your car is ready. in and out in 10 – 15 minutes. Driving on expired tags and an incomplete registration is no fun… $ 49 bucks out the door. Thank You!
Another check off my to do list. I highly recommend these guys. make sure you drive to the entrance further down, first entrance is the car shop… guy seemed kind of annoyed when I came in to ask, but he directed me to next door.

I’m a new CA resident and wholly unfamiliar with these local emissions stations. (Where I come from the testing is a government function done in large, modern six bay drive-​through garages.) So I was a little surprised to discover these local, private, typically single-​bay, no-​drive-​through businesses. (There are number in this neighborhood, and most look about the same.)
I chose this one because they openly say their total price ($ 50) without various pricing and coupon gimmicks. I was a little taken back by the modest, distinctly not slick space, but I went with it. I rolled in at opening at 8:30. The owner, Ming, was pleasant and helpful in completing the state paperwork. He said the testing would take 15 minutes, and it did. Perfect.
(The garage is in a building with two entrances. The first one is a conventional repair shop. The second entrance is the smog testing business.)

Super fast, no wait, sent in approval to DMV electronically! Coffee shop nearby to wait. Total price $ 49.95, with Unilocal deal (just had to mention Unilocal). Would definitely go here again!

This place is small, so when I drove in with no appointment, I was worried I would have a long long wait. Nope… only one other car ahead of me, and I brought my car in, in maybe 5 minutes. This smog test only station is quick and efficient and the total visit time was maybe 30 or 35 minutes total.
The waiting room is next door and pretty standard, bare bones with a couple seats and very little else. But for just a 30 minute visit, who cares.

Quick, affordable and flexible. Drove my car right in at 5:30 pm. mentioned the Unilocal deal, the nice guy said the car would be ready in 15 minutes (awesome!). Walked around the block with my daughter and came back to my car parked on the street and ready to go. Total price: $ 49.95.
Great and painless experience with my first smog check. Will definitely be coming back for the next one.
To add: there are two entrances for this place, drive into the smaller one, the furthest one to the right.

As the other reviewers have noted, this was quick, easy, took less than 30 minutes with no appointment in the mid-​afternoon on a Thursday. Unilocal discount was honored. Friendly, efficient service, right in my neighborhood. Happy to recommend them anyone who needs a «test only» for registration purposes.
Also, it’s the second driveway just east of the intersection of 10^th and Folsom, on Folsom, on the right hand side.

I just got my honda civic from out of state and need to do a smog test for the dmv registration. I called 20 – 30 minutes before coming to see if they were busy. They said no. I also asked if I had to print out the Unilocal coupon; they said i could just mention i heard about it on Unilocal and get the discount.
I showed up. Was helped immediately. Entire process took 10 – 15 minutes. Paid $ 50 for the smog test and certificate (good for 90 days from day of inspection for your DMV registration). Friendly staff.
I’ll come back next time too!

Affordable, fast, and easy! I appreciated the Unilocal check-​in discount.
My only criticism is that there is no place to go to wait while your car is being serviced (they have a very small waiting room that really needs some TLC). Walk to a coffee or being something to read in the tiny dirty waiting room.
