G & K Groceries

What a sweet experience I had here! Went in for an item not in the little shop next door, and when I asked THEM where I might be able to obtain one, they said they had NO IDEA. Well, the item was right next door at G & K Groceries. I’ll bet the Chinese version of the shop’s name gives a closer depiction of what can be found there!
For one thing, there was a Chinese doctor, seeing patients at the rear of the shop. I’ve wanted to have my pulses read (really!) for several years now, and this felt like the right place and the right time. Her recommendations made sense to me, and I liked her immediately, though we had to work through a translator mostly. (My years of living overseas as a child helped, too.)
The shop owner was very kind. I felt happy there with them, and am looking forward to seeing how I feel after my four days on the herbal concoction he literally cooked up for me, based on her diagnosis.
