History

Established in 1998.

Grats Décor began as remodeling and interior design firm. Over the past 15 years we have designed and remodeled mostly residential homes in San Francisco & the Bay Area. We take the stress and complications away from our clients by supervising and running either a interior design, remodel, new home construction or just finding that perfect piece to complete your interiors. Upon request, we can provide 3D scaled renderings prior to client approval to eliminate any guess work. Recently we have opened a showroom on Union St. where we represent over 15 brand name furniture lines, custom slipcover/​upholstery furniture, custom lighting and a place where potential clients can stop in to discuss their interior needs. With a few photos and basic measurements one of our three interior designers can discuss any project that you might have. I have been in construction since the age of 15. The first trade that I was in was sheetmetal fabrication. Throughout the years I began to take on more trades & learn from some of the top journeyman in the business. I saw a huge missing part in the process of remodeling: if there was a way that clients could deal with just 1 person or company.

Usually clients have to hire a architect, interior designer, general contractor, sub contractors & in addition they need to spend their free time picking out/​sourcing finishes & materials.

In the past 10 years the Grats Décor team & myself have implemented a more concierge & effortless process for the client from 3D design, plans, permitts, sourcing all materials & the actual implementation, all in house & with very little involvement on the client. We handle the entire process & let the client enjoy their free time!

Through the years we have done several house remodelings with other contractors; however, our sense of experience, the end result, and quality of work and materials could not compare to what we have received with Grats Décor. When we purchased our house, we love it’s unique architecture, curved walls, high ceilings, and floor-​to-​ceiling windows. What we realized after moving in was that this beautiful house was very difficult to furnish. Nothing we tried looked good. We kept moving furniture around with no good result.
Close family friend mentioned Grats Décor and suggested we talk to them.
From the first meeting it was clear that our «impossible» problem could be solved. Gene and Anna were great listening to our concerns, style and functionality preferences. They took pictures and measurements of our house and within few days we were looking at sketches of how layout of our open floor living/​dining/​family room could be worked out. We loved proposed ideas! We wanted to keep few of our furniture pieces of, but were very happy to see suggestions for pieces we wanted to replace.
We couldn’t be happier with the end result! Attention to detail, level of creativity, and ability to «hear» our wishes and concerns and provide solutions by Grats Décor team is unmatched. Will definitely use them again.

Yevgeny is very professional and helpful.
Most impressive is 3D drawing .it is easy to see kitchen and bathroom before work begins. It was helpful and easy to do before the cabinets are order.
Originally we were planning to install sink by the window and then we decided to put at the corner so we can have more countertop space.
Knowledgeable with the electrical and plumbing codes. We got more outlets for the counter top than we had before.
Overall satisfied with the timeing and materials and quality of work.

Gene did an amazing job with our frat house bed/​bathroom remodel. Most importantly, he was able to work with my short and demanding time schedule and had everything completed on time. The quality of work was excellent, and Gene saw everything through to the end, addressing all of my concerns, which isn’t easy, as I have a very OCD personality and everything must be perfect for my approval. I would recommend Gene to anyone looking to remodel, or in need of a contractor.

Grats Décor did​awesome job remodeling our house! We have remodeled before & this is definitely the way to go. They 3D designed for us, pulled permits, sourced & ordered all the material. They helped us stay on budget & completed everything even sooner than we anticipated. They are extremely easy to work with & can always be reached to discuss questions, I feel guilty on how many times we contacted them with questions. Look no further & don’t spend any more of your free time trying to micro manage your project.

We are found gene from Grats décor Luckily through our neighbor that highly recommended him and his company. Our situation required dealing with a design, architect and and general contractor. It was great that Grats décor offered all of these services rather than dealing with 3 different companies. The designers at Grats Décor did a masterful job with my apartment. It turned out better than I ever could have imagined. I absolutely love my new place. I can’t express how grateful I am. It’s the difference between «tolerating» your apartment and «loving» your apartment. You can’t put a price tag on that!

I was recommended to Grats Décor by my Aunt who recently used them to redo their kitchen and dining room area. We just bought our first house and needed to do number of things before we can move in. We met with Gene at the house to discuss our remodeling options. Because we wanted to leave it up to the experts we let him share his vision with us. He has a eye and great talent when it comes to choosing the proper materials to update the kitchen and bathroom. He has a great work ethic and is always very easy to get a hold of. We weren’t planning on redecorating, but after seeing some of Grats Décor previous work we also asked them to help us with interior design, this is when we met Anya & she is absolutely amazing, from picking out wall colors for the entire house, designing our Nursery and living room space. We were able to give her a budget for the whole project and let her pick out things she thinks will go with our space. We are so glad we found them, they are both very talented and have an eye for classy and sophisticated style.. These two are a great combo. They are knowledgeable about current trends as well as traditional styles and can help you with anything from picking out tiles to dining room tables!!! Highly recommend. We were very lucky to find them & very happy with the end result.

I wish there was a 6th star. Anya and Gene are amazing. They truly go above and beyond. My husband and I could not be happier with the transformation that they have created for us.
They are educated, talented, direct with feedback and truly want you to love your space. They work tirelessly to find just the right combination for you. There is never a push to make a quick sale.

What an amazing jewel of a store on union street. We recently moved to a new place and needed some cool and custom furniture. Everything looked great, the art was really cool and we found a table, couch and one of a kind lights. I love this place. Definitely Ze place for decorating your home. I have since sent many of my clients to get custom furnitures and interior design ideas.

Amazing customer service! We just bought our new home and I wanted to have a perfect dining room. My sister was raving about this place so I decided to check it out. Grats Décor gave us a complimentary consultation and came to our house, measured the dining room, asked us a lot of questions about what we wanted and a few days later had a variety of gorgeous unique options ready for us to look at. I highly recommend this place!

Grats Décor provided us with great customer service and very fair prices. With a toddler and a new baby on the way we needed something stylish, comfortable and child proof! Before we came to Grats D. We stereotyped slipcovered furniture like something my grandparents have. We had no idea that we can get something custom with no skirt, stain resistant and you cant even tell its slipcovered. We were overwhelmed with all the options of fabrics, sizes and even splurged for a sectional exactly customized to fit around our bay window & bought 2 slipcovers to change things up If you have gone to several shops and cant find that perfect sofa, chair ect this is definitely the place to design and customize shape, color, & size. We were in, out emailing and calling for a week to make a decision Grats D. Was never pushy and even insisted on checking out fabrics to help with the process.
