The place has re-opened. They tried to become a «Quickly», but that’s against some chain rule. We walked in and asked for a Chocolate waffle. The girl at the counter said«Sorry, no more chocolate». But then the guy in the back said he could make some. So we waited 10 minutes for the waffle. And it was coconut batter with chocolate powder. My kids hate coconut. I asked nicely, «Did you use coconut batter?» and he said Yes. So I asked for my money back. He argued with me. I dropped the food on the ground and left, because I didn’t want it to become a shouting match. Screw them.

This place has closed. My previous review was for the new business on the same site, and has a similar name but its own separate Unilocal page.

I love tapioca milk tea. I’ve been waiting for so long to have something like this around this area. The owner is really friendly. She loves to make her customers happy.

Not sure why this place has that many good reviews Mediocre in every single way My drink was WAY too sweet, I had to throw it out They also serve drinks and food but don’t have a bathroom, seems off

This café actually looks like other quickly, they are a combination of quickly and q-presso. Tried the Rose tie –guanyin, and it was just so so. I like the honey due milk tea. The tapioca is soft enough, but not too soft. Will come back and try other drinks since it’s the only one boba around.

I miss the old Irving café. Here’s my old review pre boba I love this place. The staff is so friendly it makes me hurt. I think the breakfast is simple and cheap. Corned beef hash omelette with cheddar cheese rules.

We’re locals. This is definitely a place we would come back to. Food was great for what it is. Pretty sweet breakfast. Place could be cleaner. Family run and owned. All the employees were very kind and helpful. Service was fast! Cash only.

Super small little brunch place, was barely able to accommodate our party of 6. This place is good, but it wasn’t spectacular. When it comes to breakfast(and it isn’t a Dennys/IHOP/Carrows) I don’t play around. My egg whites with chicken apple sausage was on the rubbery side and the hashbrowns were perfectly seasoned but soggy. But their cinnamon french toast was AMAZING. I’d come back for that. The menu is very small and is a no-frils type of breakfast place. SF’ians swear by this place, but I think there are better places out there. Food is a solid 2⁄5 stars, but their fantastic service bumps them up one. ANDCASHONLY!!!

It was a beautiful Sunday morning & I was craving a salty breakfast. BIG. TIME. So the Boyfriend & I hopped on the N-train & off we went. We originally wanted to go to Art’s Café(read my review) but after eyeing the small crowd outside, we decided our stomaches would be better off if we went across the street. I got the Corned beef hash which was too salty for my palette. The hash brown was bland which was good given the corned beef. My sunny-side-up eggs were slightly overdone to the point where the outer edges of the yolks were cooked. The Boyfriend got Eggs with bacon which was decent. The services was quick & friendly, but it was definitely no frills. I don’t crave salty breakfasts very often; but when I do, this is a decent place to get the fix.

A neighborhood spot for breakfast comfort food. I say comfort, because I have eaten the same thing for over 10 years. Sad, huh? Haha. My usual, #19 w/jalapeño’s. It”s like a Joe’s special. I get chicken instead of beef. Comes with toast and great potatoes that are crispy on the outside, soft and fuffy on the inside. Not quite hash browns. Definitely not country potatoes, thank goodness. Check out the photos for pictures of the scrumptious potatoes.

4 stars for their amazing hash browns! Please do yourself a favor and order the hash browns if your meal doesn’t come with it. Their hash isn’t the regular shredded type, but looks like they do medallions or something similar with it(think scalloped potatoes kind of shape), and they’re able to get this wonderful crust on it. As for their menu, it’s what you’d expect of a diner — no real surprises here, sorry. Their griddle combinations are decent, though I wish they allowed substitutions(I just want some bacon with my French toast!). Speaking of French toast, their cinnamon French toast is quite yummy. I’ve also had one of their breakfast burrito(I think it was bacon, bell peppers, Swiss cheese, egg) and it’s pretty good – it’s not dry and it’s a good ratio of tortilla to filling, but I do wish they added more bell peppers. Service is so friendly and attentive here, it’s so welcoming! I think you get three coffee refills before they charge you. which is think is very generous. My water is always filled before I’m out, and you get a piece of cup per person with the check. Overall, a simple diner with delicious hash browns and wonderful service.

I love this place! I just wish I could catch it more often before it closes. It’s a cute family owned restaurant that has very friendly service :). My usual here is the mushroom burger, medium rare with hash browns. It’s so bomb digity and I always get full. DERICIOUS Americanized food around the Irving/Sunset area which is kind of hard to find!

Okay, I’d give this place a 4.5 stars, as it’s close to great, but just missing something small. I’ll round up. The first thing I noticed… is the service. The lady behind the counter, serving us, was so genuinely kind and amicable. She checked on us multiple times to make sure everything was okay. It’s almost as if we were really good friends for a really long time. I felt right at home. I can’t emphasize this enough. Service was spectacular. This is also the reason for the rounding up. Okay, going in, there are quite a few small tables, and bar seating. We sat at a table, and were promptly given menus, and asked if we wanted anything to drink. We got waters. My friend and I were not super hungry, so we split food. We ordered the vegetarian scramble and 2 buttermilk pancakes. The food: The vegetarian scramble eggs special. #19A.(Tomatoes, mushroom, spinach, zucchinis & onions). $ 6.75. This was pretty good, it comes with 2 slices of toast cut diagonally, so you actually get 4 pieces, and hash browns. The portion is fairly large, but for a big eater, it’ll be just right. The price is really really good for what you’re getting. Additionally, there were a good amount of veggies, which is always appreciated! The hash browns were pretty delicious. Pretty crispy, and some pieces had more substance(potato presence), some didn’t. I wish the hash browns were a bit easier to eat. The toast comes with jam and butter on the side. The buttermilk pancakes. 2 for $ 3.75. We ordered this because my friend thought the pancakes were going to be small. We were wrong. These were huge pancakes. They were about 1⁄3rd of an inch thick and were about 8″-9″ in diameter? Needless to say, we didn’t finish. The food was really good and the prices are pretty cheap. Service was excellent. The condiments at the table are plentiful, salt, pepper, ketchup, sriracha, habanero sauce, and a few others! Tips: This place is cash only. I have uploaded photos of the menu, as they do not have a website, so now you can see what you want to order prior. I really want to come here for lunch sometime to try out their lunch menu. Recommended! and I’ll be back. I think it’s the hashbrowns that hit the .5 star deduction. It’s good thought a bit messy. I like cleanliness of eating breakfast, if this makes any sense. If it doesn’t, ignore this line!

Affordable. Filling. And a brilliant brunch idea after a wild night in the city. The place is small but is usually packed. Service isn’t the most attentive, but with most entrees priced at $ 5 – 7, who cares? Albeit when you’re super hungry(and hungover), faster service would be nice… My friends and I ended up ordering various breakfast platters(prices and descriptions listed below): - - - - I personally ordered the BREAKFASTBURRITOWITHONEEGG for $ 4.25( ); you can choose between bacon and chicken apple sausage as your meat, and among Swiss, American, Cheddar, or Monterey Jack as your cheese. They’re fairly skimpy with meat and cheese but generous with the onions and the single egg. Although the burrito itself was petite(the flour tortillas aren’t huge like Chipotle ones), they smack on your plate a whole pile of simple hashbrowns – minimal salt or other flavorings, so dress with ketchup! My friends also got toast with their entrees, which left us with a HUGE collective plate of toast in the middle. We couldn’t finish it all! So really, for about $ 6 – 7 per person including tip and tax, your stomach will be full and your wallet decently untouched. Random note: they don’t serve poached eggs here. Yes, maybe I’m a bit spoiled :) No debit cards, credit cards, or checks, so bring your cash or run down Irving a few blocks to the nearby Wells Fargo and Chase banks!

Everybody in the Bay Area is enjoying the nice and hot 4th of July weather with shorts, cute dresses, flip-flops and«stunnas”(sunglasses). But me, I was doing some work near the inner-Sunset in my business suit and tie with a brand new pair of dress shoes.(Yes, my Joe Cool-look!) As I walked in to this busy café on busy Irving Street, the floor felt like an adhesive sticker stuck on my pricey pair of dress shoes. Don’t get me wrong; I work under extreme eventful and dirtier atmosphere with my job. But I don’t expect that in a diner. But I was lucky since it was the holiday weekend, the café was not crowded thus I was seated right away. I had one of the daily specials: the Chicken Philly Cheese steak Sandwich. For a cheap $ 6.00, the sandwich had grilled chicken, grilled onions and melted cheese in a toasted hoagie roll. The sandwich may not be in the same league as many of the Philadelphia’s authentic Cheese steaks places, but for the price, not bad at all. A pair of Chinese ladies cooks all the meals including mine. Perhaps the two can compete with many of the Cheese Steaks in Philly? Maybe not! The total of my meal was under $ 10.00 and«Cash Only!» I can use the remaining couple of dollars to clean my dress shoes. Or maybe I use the spit-shine method I’ll definitely be back and try many of the café’s affordable meals in my casual attire!
