Great service & great price.
I took a coat here to remove the stains and they did a great job at a very reasonable price.

Jindi is amazing. She’s such a sweet lady and she always wants to get the job done right. I have a tendency to bring in dry cleaning or wash and fold just a few days before I need it and she is always more than accommodating.
For wash and fold, everything is folded perfectly and then wrapped with paper. She even organizes all of the clothes into different piles.
One time I needed to pick something up but was barely going to make it there before their 7pm closing. I called Jindi and she said not to worry, that she would stay open a little later to let me come grab my dry cleaning. Best dry cleaner in the area!

Always do a great job on both cleaning services and alterations. Prices seem standard for SF.

I love this dry cleaner. I dropped off a pair of jeans to get the hole repaired. They fixed it by the next day, but missed one of the holes. While they charged me $ 15, they offered to fix the other hole also free of charge.
They were prompt, did an exceptional job, and courteous. Definitely my go-​to spot in my neighborhood.

I love how the owners are really friendly to the customer. I was asking them for school bag laundry. Their job exceeds my expectation! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Super satisfied!

I had a couple very basic things cleaned here a few months ago. One of which was a 100% cotton maxi skirt. It doesn’t need to be dry cleaned but I baby the clothes I love and a long white skirt is a staple. I meant to write this review but was waiting until I wasn’t so upset. Pulled the skirt out to wear tonight and I can’t. The woman who works there told me it can’t be steamed straight because it’s polyester. I told her that I have ironed it many times and it’s straight as a bone. The tag says 100% cotton! I didn’t have time to stay and argue with her so I paid full price (even though it was the second pick up attempt. There was literally fresh dirt on my skirt the first time I picked it up which she tried to say was a stain. I smudged the ‘stain’ and she said ‘okay, I redo for you’) Horrible experience. I’ll have to have the skirt pressed at the hotel if I want to wear it tonight. I went to Jindi’s based off reviews so it’s fair people know that she /​the establishment are occasionally completely incompetent and don’t take responsibility for it.

Jindi’s did a fantastic job cleaning my all-​lace wedding dress, and for a reasonable cost.

This cleaner has been here for over 30 years. I was surprise to see this small business to still in the neighborhood. I had moved to Hawaii and came back and was pleased to see that they were still doing business. Dry Cleaning is reasonable and the turn around time is excellent. I had alterations done and it was excellent. Items are done in a timely manner.

Ruined a moncler coat then blame me for it and threaten to take me to court? I don’t even know what to say except that this is the absolute worst dry cleaners I’ve ever been to. And the service is horrible. Save your clothes and your energy and find another dry cleaners.

I spilled coffee on my favorite suit but Jindi did their magic! I just wish it was a little sooner than projected but I’m very satisfied.

I take everything from expensive dresses to jeans and trust them to get the job done. Bonus, they know my name and I am not in there that often! They know I travel for work and always ask how I’ve been. Great customer service! Last, because I am a bit of a procrastinator, I am always in need of same day service. They always come through with what is needed (including alterations). Jindi’s will always be my go to!

When I moved into the city, I thought it would be really cool to have a dry cleaner that knew your name.
It makes no sense to me, as I use her services but once or twice month, but I do in fact have a dry cleaner that knows my name.
She also alerts me to small defects in my clothes and how she fixed them, which is equally as awesome.
Positive experiences to be had at this establishment.

Affordable pricing and quick turnaround, what more can you ask for from a dry cleaner? I’ve regularly used dry cleaning services for 5 years now and Jindi’s is one of the most reliable places I’ve tried. Now that I life in SF it is my go to! The lady is so sweet and very meticulous about her work. She always explains to me which stains didn’t come out and also which items probably shouldn’t be dry cleaned. My only complaints would be that they don’t accept cash and the shop is not open on Sundays. Besides that, I think this place is solid for their service.
To give you an idea on their pricing: I had 1 trench coat, 1 dress, 2 pants, 3 skirts, and 7 tops cleaned for ~$ 80.

I’ve been using Jindi for over 8 years. Solid, honest cleaners and very upfront with the care of your fabrics and stain removal. They’ll tell you if they don’t think a stain is coming out, rather than waste time & money. Or if your item is too delicate to dry clean or launder.
Solid for simple alterations & hems.
If it’s too complicated, go to a proper tailor folks complaining on Unilocal.
For SF natives, we like the old school no frills, good job cleaners… Go Jindi’s

I am just really annoyed because I dropped off a coat here last week for them to clean but when I came to pick it up before work ~7 days later, they told me that they didn’t wash the coat yet because the tag said not to dry clean. Okay, that’s understandable because they don’t want to be liable for ruining my coat, but then I didn’t really care because I just did not have any time to do laundry so I told her to ignore it and go ahead and wash it anyway. But then I show up the next day hoping to pick it up and wear it to work, and she basically told me they are refusing to wash it because they don’t want to ruin it. Did I not already tell her it was okay to wash it? It was just really frustrating to hear this because I don’t have much time to do laundry — probably once every couple weeks and I’m telling her it’s okay if the material gets cracked. Honestly, if this happens in the future they should CALL the customer instead of having me wait around for a week or two before taking back the same unwashed clothes.
Also, I noticed that the hours on this page are wrong. They are open at 7:30AM, not 9AM like it is listed on this page. Closed Sundays.

Had a work emergency and needed table linens cleaned for next day pick up… on a Friday… around 2pm.
After calling a dozen cleaners who told me they couldn’t ensure it would be done by any certain time, I spoke with Jindi who was very friendly and promised it wouldn’t be a problem! I dropped them off at 4pm and picked them up by 11am the next day!

I’ve been to many great restaurants/​hotels that are 5-​star worthy, but somehow I never bothered writing a Unilocal review. But Jindi’s is really off-​the-​chart:
1) Living in Russian Hill, kindda hard to find a place that still charges $ 1/​pound for wash and fold
2) Dry clean is great, they will re-​do it for you if there are smirches that don’t come off
3) They are very thoughtful about checking pockets/​saving stuffs. I once accidentally left a very expensive jade amulet type of thing in one of my pockets. I thought I lost it and was sad about it for days, until I found out they not only found it, but they also put it in a great little plastic bag. Thrilled
4) I found it annoying that you couldn’t use credit cards at first, but they actually accept checks, and that’s equally convenient for me

Shockingly unreasonable alteration prices.
I’d been going to Jindi for months with my dry cleaning needs and alterations for fairly reasonable rates until i brought 2 dresses to be shortened recently.
Because I’ve had similar services done before in the range of $ 15 – 20 per item, I did not get a quote from them on how much this round of services would be.
My Bad.
To shorten both dresses 3 inches each, they charged me a whooping $ 40 for EACH dress.
The dresses were from Anthro on sale and i got them for app $ 60 each.
With the alteration, my dresses became $ 100 EACH.
Besides shortening the dresses, Nothing else was done to the dresses.
I was Stunned when she told me the alterations would be $ 80 total.
I thought I had misheard the prices.
The 2 other customers who happened to be in the shop were equally stunned.
When i asked her why it cost so much, she told me «because i had to cut off so much fabric»
WHAT?
I wasn’t asking her to transform a Maxi dress into a mini– it was a 3″ alteration; i’ve never heard of places charging alterations per inch!
I’m saddened that I cannot support this business again.
It was painful to have to go to another Cleaner to get my dresses, jackets and coats dry-​cleaned and altered.
