Established in 1988.

We are a progressive dental office providing state of the science services in downtown San Francisco. We provide all general dental services including restorative of all kinds and degrees of complexity as well as dental hygiene and Invisalign. We have digital x-​rays which eliminates approximately 80% of the exposure to radiation that a standard dental x-​ray system has. We offer nitrous oxide at no additional fee. We accept most dental insurance. We often are able to work with patients without insurance to enable them to receive the dental treatment they might not be able to get otherwise. We are open Monday thru Thursday.

Having practiced in Beverly Hills for many years, I have extensive experience in esthetic dentistry as well as all the other aspects of dentistry which enables me to provide complete and comprehensive dental care.

John Gerace is a not only a fantastic dentist, but, he is also empathetic and listens to his patients. Every single time I go in there, he strives to make sure that I have no pain at all during any of the procedures. His office staff are also great and actually have knowledge on dental insurance protocols. When I was in Paris with severe tooth pain, he gave me two recommendations of endodontic surgeons in Paris for me to go see. What kind of dentist does that? THE BEST. If you want a dentist that cares for his patients, go see this man. He is fantastic.

This man strolled into my life and changed it forever. He took something I had resigned to as hopeless, ugly, an on-​going monument to bad decisions and he changed it into something beautiful. His genuine care and willingness to give was as transformative as the artistry of his work. As dramatic as it may sound he gave me hope, a renewed desire to do better in the world and a reason to believe in others.
He is patient, thorough, highly skilled, down to earth and has a GREAT staff.
My smile is beautiful now, winning even!
Along with the increased hedonism my smile has facilitated,
I now want to do for others and have been working to do so ever since I met him.

I had to give one star just to put a review, but didn’t want too. This dentist is so rude and not professional (I see why he always has new staff). So all the rest of the reviews hmmmm are interesting they give this crazy lunatic dentist a 5 star– yeah right !
You will see at some point his Dr. Jackal
Mr. Hyde manner… I will not be giving any more of my business to person like him… Good luck to the rest of you…

Dr. Gerace and his team have been providing wonderful dental service to me and my wife for almost five years. As someone who seems to be getting more and more apprehensive about going to the dentist as I am getting older, I truly appreciate Dr. Gerace’s professionalism, willingness to explain everything he is doing, and attention to his patients’ individual needs.
When you are dealing with something as important as your dental health, you want a dentist who is not satisfied until the job is perfect. Dr. Gerace takes his work very seriously and ensures every task and procedure is performed with the utmost care.
Dr. Gerace and his team are also very accessible for questions and always follow-​up with you to make sure you are not having any problems. I feel lucky to have found him as my dentist.

dentist appointments are never fun, but i can’t say enough good about John Gerace (and his always-​pleasant and organized staff too).
his work, as far as i can determine, is as good as it gets, but what i especially like is the way he explains step by step what he’s doing and why
also, on occasion he’s recommended against a more expensive procedure when a less expensive alternative existed (i would, of course, have opted for whatever he recommended, so this kind of advice is very reassuring to a patient who isn’t competent to know what should be done)

I have had multiple visits to Dr. Gerace’s office, all have been exactly what you want in a dental professional — a well run office, competent staff, up-​to-​date equipment and extreme cleanliness. Dr. Gerace’s skill and expertise is superb, he’s gentle and a master at cosmetic repairs. There is follow-​through after major procedures, which demonstrates his concern for his patients, and he’s accessible if there’s a problem. I’ve recommended several friends to Dr. Gerace, all have remained as patients. He also has on staff one of the best hygienists around, Ada Beth is gentle and thorough — so much that I now LIKE getting my teeth cleaned, and I now do it three times a year instead of two! That’s a compliment…

I am an extremely picky «shopper” – especially when it comes to professional services – but after several visits to Dr. Gerace’s office I must say that he and his office are a totally first class act. If Dr. Gerace has any faults, it is that he is a total perfectionist and will want to send your temporary crown back to the lab (at his cost, of course) to get the fit and finish absolutely perfect. He and his hygenist are warm, personable, gentle, and careful. When I had a minor procedure done in the office, Dr. Gerace gave me his personal mobile phone number and urged me to call at any hour if there was any problem whatsoever. Oh, yeah, forgot to mention… he is also a very very handsome man… if that sort of thing matters to you. The office is immaculate and runs on time.
