Jamie took care of my lashes! She was gentle and very therapeutic. I don’t have very many lashes to work with, but she made them work! It looks a lot fuller and natural! Definitely going back!

This review is so overdue. I wanted to get lashes JUST for my bff’s wedding in October… of 2014. It’s been a full year since. I see Jamie every 2 weeks, & she is amazing. She is extremely meticulous and patient. The process of getting my lashes done is very relaxing and I even fall asleep while she does her thing. One hour later, I have full, fluffy, beautiful lashes! I used to apply the full on eye makeup; eye shadow, eyeliner, & mascara. With the extensions I don’t need any of that. These lashes ‘open’ my eyes up. I’ve always had average short stick straight lashes. Having not to rip them out with a lash curler everyday, and applying goopy mascara is a dream. Jamie is efficient and extremely knowledgeable, and gave me very precise aftercare instructions. They’re really low maintenance, too. I’ve become an addict!

I got eyelash extensions from Jamie and they were amazing, made my eyes pop! She could create a dramatic look or natural look depending on preferences. Unfortunately, I had to stop because those lashes were pretty high maintenance, requiring frequent refills…
Either way, Jamie is definitely one of the best in the industry!

I come to Chi for my lash lift, in advance I have very long eye lashes (people think they’re fake) but they don’t curl with an eye lash curler or hold with mascara. I posted a picture and you can see how straight and long they are, they look like cow eye lashes. I came across Chi decided to try this lash lift that would curl my long eye lashes. This is my second time going and I am so happy! I now have curled eye lashes, I don’t even put mascara on them and they’re curly for about 3 months. Chi is awesome, the lash lift went smoothly. Thank you Chi!

I am still happy and my lashes are still axing. Even after a few years, my lashes still look full and contrary to popular belief my natural lashes are still full. Jamie is wonderful at helping you take care of your lashes so they last longer and still look phenomenal. Yassssss!!!

I have been getting my lashes done at Lash & Face by Chi for a while. The Longmi technique was used to do my lashes which I felt safe with her skill and experience. I would recommend her to anyone. Now I can’t live without it.

I started coming to Chi for my lashes last December, right before a Christmas trip to Europe.
I am always a little bit scared to try someone new, because you never know what you are going to get. But she was fantastic! She gave me an estimate before she even started — based on what I was looking for. And they turned out fantastic! They ended up lasting almost a month, as I was gone for a while on vacation.
When I came back, I scheduled regular appointments every two weeks. I also get my nails done at the same time by her partner who works in the same office. She does a fabulous job on my nails as well!
They are always nice, and professional. They do book up fast, so I would recommend booking an appointment as soon as you can!
I highly recommend her to anyone looking to try lashes for the first time, or you are looking for someone new who knows all the best and latest techniques!

I found Chi a year ago through Unilocal and it was my wise choice to come here over other lash extension places in SF. Chi offers the famous lash extension specialty called «Long mi» by Daniel Dinh. If you do some research on lash extension, «Long mi» is widely used by those Hollywood celebrities down in socal. I go with a budget ones which is less pricy and more natural but still satisfied with the quality. To make it last longer, within 24 hrs, do not let the lashes touch water, remove your make up with a sponge rather than stab water directly onto your face. Chi does her job so skillful that people around me don’t recognize that my lashes are fake.
Chi also offers facial services. 6 months ago, I had severe facial problem on my skin, both on the face and at the back. Chi suggested me to go with her salicylic acid back treatment as well as using her Dermaquest facial cleanser to wash out the toxic on my skin. My skin, after 6 months, is better now with some minor black scars due to the impact of the pimples. You have an extra massage service as well so why not go for it.

1.5 stars. If the gal wasn’t so kind, this would really be a one-​star review. (I’m not sure who did my lashes here.) It’s because these lashes cost me double what they should. I’ll explain:
Judging from the excellent reviews, I was prepared to get service that at least matched the fantastic quality of my place at home.
I always get synthetic lashes, which are offered here too. I just had a fill on my lashes a couple weeks back and just wanted a touch-​up. She noted that my synthetic lashes were straight, and she didn’t have straight lashes but that they would look fine. I got a little worried right then.
So, curled lashes go on. I look in the mirror and I can tell she’s nervous…
…my eyes looked like Don King’s hair. Each lash went in every which direction and she did not match the length of the lashes appropriately to the shape of my eye. I had to pull out super-​long lashes that were right in the epicanthic fold of my eye. OUCH.
I asked for a brush and tried to fix them myself. It was a fruitless effort. I spent $ 57.50 including tip…
Remember, I had a nice lash job before I got there, they just needed a few to be filled in. It’s 50 hours later, and almost all the lashes fell (lumped together) from my eyes. The weight of so many glued together PULLED OUT my healthy short lashes :((
My $ 50 fill at home (plus the $ 15 dollar tip) plus $ 57.50 minus eyelashes (synthetic and real) = sucky. This place was an expensive mistake.

I went in for my «birthday Lashes» … Chi does an amazing job, always listens to what you want (I like shorter lashes that won’t hit my glasses) and I leave looking and feeling like a million bucks! Her lashes are natural looking, and I always get compliments, although people can’t quite place what is different…:-) I love getting my lashes done by Chi!

Lashes by Chi is the best lash place in SF, I’m seriously convinced. I recently moved from Chicago so I was on the hunt for a new lash woman and luckily I just happened to find Chi. Not only is Chi SO personable and kind, she also provides amazing results when it comes to my lashes. I described what I wanted and she gave me exactly that! My lashes are a million times better now than they were when I was getting them done in Chicago.
Her pricing is pretty reasonable for lash extensions. In Chicago it was $ 200 – 250 to get a full set and $ 110 to get a fill every two weeks. Chi charged me $ 160 for a full set and only $ 50 for a fill. The great pricing makes such a difference and after extensive research of all the lash places in the city, she definitely has the best pricing.
I also got my nails done there and they were absolutely perfect! I have never gotten so many compliments on my lashes than I have when I started going to Chi. at least 2 people a day ask me where I get my lashes done because they look so great, all thanks to Lash and Face by Chi.
Worth your time and money. I recommend this place to every one and any one! Love Lash and Face by Chi!!!

I am really disappointed in the quality and price of these lashes. For one, they were glued on with no direction. One lash glued to three real lashes and going sideways. There was too much glue it looked like mascara caked on. Also, for the way they turned out, $ 120 was way too expensive. They lasted about 3 days before I had to go get them taken off elsewhere because I couldn’t get them to go straight anymore. Really poor quality of work done. However her location and space were clean and Chi is very nice as a person. But I wouldn’t recommend her for lashes, especially if you are used to good lash extensions.

I went to Chi to remove a set of lashes (done elsewhere) that were too long and heavy for me. She was pleasant and knowledgeable in recommending the best type of extensions for my future visits.

I used to go to the other shop for my lashes but since I met Jamie, I only go here now. :)
My eyelashes are naturally thinner than general so it was really easy for me to lose them before I met Jamie.
But now it lasts much longer than I had experienced before from the other shop and I’m very happy with her techniques.
Also she is very fun to talk and the room is very comfortable so I always fall a sleep too.
My eyes look way better than the last shop.
I bought the make up remover products from her too and it’s very mild to my eyes and I love using it.
You will lose some of your eye lashes extension from the next day you get if you’re not experienced a lot at having eye lashes extension BUT once you get used to having them and know how to treat them then you won’t lose it so easily unless you cry A LOT or use OIL products.
Especially Jamie’s technics and products (including eyelashes) are really great :)

I just get my eye lashes done yesterday and I’m happy with it!
I also have facial with Chi every 2−3weeks and I absolutely love her techniques and products too. My skin got much better and my pores got much smaller now.
My friends even asked me if I was wearing a make up when I actually had no make up on. :) She is very nice and her massage always makes me fall a sleep… haha
I highly recommend Jamie and Chi :)

I really don’t like writing bad reviews, especially because Jamie is a sweet person, but I really feel «meh» with my personal experience with my lashes.
Getting them done was a good experience. I literally fell asleep on the table.
I loved the actually lashes… I wasn’t in love with my lashes and how they looked on me, it made the shape of my eyes really weird… and a little over powering because I have smaller eyes. I expressed this to Jamie and she said I should give it 2 days before I judge them.
Two days passed, still the same. I wanted to get lashes so I can just wake up and go, but I looked so weird without eyeliner… She suggested we meet a week later, but I realized it was scheduled for July 4^th, so I had to cancel since I was going to be out of town.
I even bought the special make up remover pads, was VERY careful with my lashes, no oil based makeup or remover, lotions, etc. I didn’t rub my eyes, and when I did take off my makeup, I rested the pad on my eye, and gently went downwards to get it off. It kind of burned my eyes cause the water seeped thru sometimes…
I feel like after the first week, a good chunk of my left lashes and some of my right lashes had fallen out, I tried to save them in a little tissue to count how many had fallen off… lol that got a little ridiculous. But it was quite a handful! By the second week, so much of my lashes had fallen out, it seemed like there was only the outside corner and random ¹⁄₃ position lashes sticking out… it looked so bad and awkward, I couldn’t even wear mascara or curl my lashes.
I appreciate the other reviewers who had better experiences, but I unfortunately did not. This is going to be the 3^rd week, but I literally have max 2 – 6 pieces of lashes on either eye… seriously??? I’m really disappointed that the $ 250 I spent didn’t last… and don’t feel like it was worth it… :(

Jamie is incredible! She is very knowledgeable about eyelash extensions and takes the time to educate you about how to take care of them and what kind of extensions to put on to achieve the most natural look. To top it off, she genuinely cares about how satisfied you are with the result. Love my extensions and I’m pretty sure I’ll be a long-​term client.
Jamie generally works at night and has limited time slots so you need to make sure to call ahead and make an appointment.

I come here every 2 – 3 weeks to get my lashes done by Jamie, and have been regularly wearing these silk lashes for the past 6 months.
Personal:
I used to always wear falsies (the kind at daiso/​dollywinks) and now with lash extensions, I can skip the falsies, and mascara. On most days I don’t even need to wear makeup anymore because my eyes already have that «pop.» Why did I choose to go to Jamie? Because she does LAYERED lashes which gives a soft feathery natural look.
Time:
Each session takes roughly one hour to an hour and half because Jamie takes her time gluing individual lashes to your natural lashes. She makes them really even and beautiful. The music is relaxing and she even lets you doze off. I get SO many compliments ever since my first lash job.
Maintenance:
Yes, you do have to wash your face and clean your eyelashes. Also brushing them is important because they’re so long!

What can I say about Jamie that has not been said already here? She is A-​M-​A-​Z-​I-​N-​G!!! I’ve always been wary about getting eye lash extensions until I saw someone who had these incredible lashes. It takes me no time to do my eye make up in the morning now. I get compliments all the time about my eyelashes. No one can tell they’re extensions either. I’m totally an eye lash extension addict now. not just by anyone though… I am forever faithful to Jamie! Not only has Jamie perfected the art of eyelash extension, she’s also a really great person. I always enjoy my session with her. There’s just something about her energy that makes me feel like I’m in good hands.

I have had single layer eyelash extensions from places in LA and SF, however, I have never been so pleased with my investment and the results as I have been with this super skillful eyelash artist, Jamie.
Longmi lashes are superior eyelash extensions because they are multi-​layered extensions. They look amazingly natural and unbelievably full! Unlike single layer extensions, the Longmi multi-​layered extensions shed naturally from your lashes and don’t leave noticeable gaps in length in between lash fills. The Longmi specialized technique makes the biggest difference!
Also, Longmi lashes are surprisingly water resistant! I wash my make up off daily and shampoo my lashes one to two times a week — the lashes actually bounce back to original fullness once shampooed.

She will discuss what type of look you are going for and your beauty regimen — for example, I work in the salon industry and I need to have perfect (Jennifer Lopez perfect) lashes as they’re under scrutiny daily and I come every in 2 – 3 weeks, however, my friend’s job does not have the same demands and she comes in for a fill every 4 or so weeks.
Jamie is amazing because she truly tailors her service to her client and I really appreciate her dedication to the health of her client’s lashes (and skin!).

Chi did a fantastic job. This was my first time getting lash extensions and after doing my research, I was a little nervous. She made me feel completely comfortable and answered all my questions. She also did it in about ²⁄₃ time that it has taken for my friends to get it done at other places. I’m pretty sure it’s because she’s been doing lash extensions for 12 years including in NYC and Danville before lashes were even cool. Her prices are unbeatable and it’s just an all around great calm atmosphere. I am really pleased and she will definitely be seeing me again. She’s building clientele in the city ladies so get in fast before people realize what a gem she is.
