I’ve been doing them in LA, and assumed it was normal procedure to feel pain from the glue. But it’s not! When Vicki worked on my lashes, I didn’t even feel it at all. She also asks what length, curl, width you want. She also offered to do a free touch up if my lashes fall within the week.
It is a little more expensive than what I’m used to in LA, but I think it’s worth it when I can walk out without red eyes and tears.
If you want courteous service and beautiful lashes, this is the service you want! I’ll be back.

It’s true what they say about Vicki– she’s simply the best! She clearly loves what she does and is super personable. She runs her business straight out of her place and I love the comfy ambiance. If you’re lucky, her super adorbs furbaby, Yumi, stays around to keep you company!
I’ve had my lashes done a few times before, but Vicki’s work is definitely favorite. My full set lasted for about 3 weeks and they looked so good! Vicki is gentle and I never have any issues with my eyes stinging or burning afterwards. Trust me when I say, that does happen with some inexperienced lash techs.
Making an appointment with Vicki is also a breeze. You can text her and she gets right back to you. She’s extremely flexible with scheduling and will try to fit you in if possible.
Last but not least, you can’t beat her prices. I’ve paid almost double her price at higher end lash salons before and Vicki’s work is not only comparable, but probably superior.
Great work, great prices and friendly – it doesn’t get better than that! I highly recommend checking Vicki out for all your eyelash extension needs!

I was not the easiest client to work with. I get fidgety and squirm around. Viki was super patient and my lashes were gorgeous. She works out of her apartment which is super clean and conviniently located. She plays relaxing music and just has a calming way about her. I highly recommend! Plus she’s very affordable.

I’m so glad I found Vicki. She’s such a sweetheart! As other reviewers have mentioned, you can definitely tell that she is passionate about what she does. She’s very detailed and will make sure that you are satisfied with your lashes. You can really tell when someone loves what they’re doing and that is Vicky! I love coming to this place, nice cozy room, relaxing music, and just overall great ambiance. Vicky is very professional and friendly. It feels like I’m chatting with an old friend.

First and foremost, she is such a sweetheart. Everyone has said that and I definitely agree. She is super easy to talk to and incredibly friendly and personable. I enjoyed the experience of getting my lashes done by her. Not to mention she had great breath, which is so important when someone is a few inches from your face.
I had my lashes done in July of 2014.
They looked great when I left her. Unfortunately, my lashes didn’t stay super long. They lasted about four days. And took lots of my own lashes. I followed the instructions to a tee. And I’ve had lashes before and after. It just may be my lashes didn’t respond well to the glue or the lashes were too heavy for me. I’m sure if I had told her she would have tried to fix them.
She was really kind and had previously offered to do a touch up. That was before mine fell out. She is so nice I hate to even write this.
I’d recommend her, as she has great comments and again my experience was really nice.

Let me start by saying i NEVER write Unilocal reviews, but Vicki was the most pleasurable experience, i just had to share.
First of all, Vicki is one of the sweetest people I have ever met! I had wanted eyelash extensions for awhile, one day, I just decided it was time.
I Unilocaled places by my house, Vicki was one of the first places that come up. I saw her location, her Unilocal reviews and her prices… I was like, can’t go wrong… and i wasn’t disappointed!
My lashes look amazing, and so natural. Thank you Vicki!!! I will be back!

Absolutely love Vicki!!! She’s the first and most likely the only person I will ever go to for eyelash extensions. She’s extremely easy going and comforting. Her pricing is hard to even compete with and is super affordable. I mean half the regular prices at actual salons and studios!
She works out of her apartment in SF and it is incredibly clean and still very much professional. (She even has a dog that Im in love with, but if needed she will put her in a different room)
During the process, it usually takes about two hours and for me personally I was very comfortable with talking to her about my life as time passes by. I was also comfortable enough to sleep during the process. With her work especially she’ll notice your eye shape and will work out whatever kind of extension is best for your particular eyes. I think it’s great that I could also experiment what types of lashes I wanted. With Vicki I’m already a regular customer and I can’t wait for my next set! She’s fantastic!

I met Vicki a couple years ago when she first started her business. I was really impressed with how meticulous she was. Her work is great! She makes sure to evolve her work to your needs and that’s something that I really appreciate. I don’t always get my lashes done but as an Asian who wasn’t born with a mascara ready curtain on my eyes, I do enjoy extensions for when life is just too busy for primping. Vicki really makes her clients feel comfortable and her work is centered around her clients being happy with the results than anything else. She does a very thorough job at keeping up on lash trends and what’s the best for her clients. She invests in things that matter– like not using cheap tape to hold down the lower lashes and making sure the lashes won’t hurt your natural ones. Proper eye care and safety is above all else to her and she has no problem shooing me away when she feels my lashes need a break. The honesty and care is refreshing and she definitely has a long time client in me.

Vicki did an amazing job with my eyelash extensions and listened to what I exactly wanted. She is sweet and courteous, and she does not stop until she is satisfied. I wish I didn’t live in vegas so that I could visit her often!

I cannot believe how detailed, generous, thorough and professional Vicki was. She spent an insane amount of time to have my lashes perfect. She was EXTREMELY affordable compared to other eyelash salons in San Francisco. She works out of her apartment, which is incredibly clean! She was so informative and responsive over text msg. I realized that the previous eyelash job that I had (though very nice), was not nearly as high quality as Vicki’s. She used amazing lashes, that don’t even feel like fake lashes to me. They are really soft and the previous job, you could see the glue! Everyone has complimented my lashes, and that they look much more natural.
I love them and most of all Vicki is very down to earth. She even gives a little eyelash brush and a card with care instructions! I am so glad I found her, will be going back for sure!

It was my first time ever getting them (a little nerv-​racking), but Vicki made it incredibly easy and assured me they would look amazing. I gave very little input because I knew she knew what she was doing.
It was sooo relaxing I think I fell asleep for the 2 hours I was there.

I was about to go to a lash studio that charges 175+ for a full set of lashes. I realized that $ 175 for something that could fall off in three weeks is ridiculously expensive. So I decided to do a little more research and found Black iLash by Vicki. She had similar reviews as other 4 – 5 stars studios. The only difference was the price and place. Vicki charged me $ 84 for a full set, FIRST STAR, and her shop is in her apartment. 5 star reviews, very fair prices, and a comfortable studio? HELL YEAH!
Called her up and made an appointment at 4 for the next day. Awesome accent on the phone which calmed my whole day, SECOND STAR. Next day rolls by and realized that I couldn’t make it in time. Called her last minute and asked if I can push the appointment to 4:30 and she was totally fine with that, THIRD STAR.
Vicki picked me up from the entrance and brought me to her apartment asking if I was ok with dogs. I LOVE DOGS. I couldn’t wait to to barge into her apartment to see her dog. For all you dog haters, Vicki’s husband usually takes the dog away when she has clients. So everyone including dog haters are welcome ;). Her dog’s name is Yumi, she’s a Pekingese, and she’d like to be fed before she likes you. Oh and she snorts.
All the previous reviews were exactly what they described Vicki as: sweet, perfectionist, accommodating, easy to talk to, informative, and friendly. Vicki is so comforting and easy to talk to that I felt like she was my best friend/​sister for that night, FOURTH STAR. I’m very picky so she really took the time to perfect my weird left eyelashes to my right lashes. At the end my lashes were perfected and I left with confidence, FIFTH STAR!
Can’t wait to go back and try some new styles. Vicki takes cash and cards AND she takes tips on card too. Now THAT’S a business lady right there. Amazing. Vicki was gentle, accommodating, and precise. She took great care in getting some crazy cluster lashes off that I had regrettably had put on at a salon. I didn’t think those suckers would come off without ripping out my own, but she managed! She did a great job with the eyelash extensions thereafter. Great girl, too. Sweet as pie. Her place was very comfortable.

I really enjoyed getting my lashes done by Vicki! I’ve been going to her for the last couple months and I’ve never consider going to anyone else, she’s that good. Before we started, she really took the time to ask me about my lifestyle to make sure the type of lashes she uses would be easy for me to maintain… and I’m glad she did! They looked amazing off the bet, and they still looked great after 3 weeks, which is very impressive given how clumsy I am with them.
Throughout our session she made sure I was comfortable, so much so that as much as I like chatting with her, I fall asleep almost every time during our sessions: P She’s really patient and takes her time to make sure every lash is in place, and have me check them too to make sure I’m happy with the results. Honestly, if you’re looking for a new place to get your lashes done, I couldn’t recommend Vicki more.

Had my first lash extensions done by Vicki! She was so awesome and accomodating. Since this was my first time getting the extensions, Vicki was very informative and answered all my questions and concerns. She’s very friendly and detailed. She made sure I was completely satisfied before leaving and even followed up with me to see how I was liking it. Overall, it was a great experience. I would definitely come back. As a matter of fact, I have a another appt. this weekend for a refill.

This was my first time getting eye lash extensions. Vicki was really friendly. Since I was getting it done for my graduation she did one eye and let me look at it first in case I wanted it shorter, longer, thicker, etc. I really liked that she really cared. She was really gentle and made sure nothing poked my eyes or anything. My family was really impressed with it. It was definitely worth every penny!

A friend of mine recommended getting my lashes done by Vicki and she was absolutely amazing! I was a bit nervous for my first time, but she talked me through it and was extremely friendly and gentle. The full set for $ 70 was totally worth it and they last for some time. Definitely coming back!
