I should have checked Unilocal before visiting this office; Dr Louie was rude, insulting, and generally unhelpful in trying to help me work out any course of action for my condition(congestion). I got a lot of responses like«I already told you», «well, I can’t read your mind», and«how am I supposed to know». When I tried to ask questions(eg, about drug interactions), he kept interrupting, over & over — sometimes with vaguely related fyi’s; sometimes with«like I already told you», without letting me even finish the question. All of which made his subsequent complaints about«not being able to read my mind» and saying he «can’t guess what your primary care physician told you» all the more frustrating. I got the referral to see Dr Chew, but he was out on vacation, and therefore saw Dr Louie instead. Rather than an ENT, I probably should have been referred to an allergist(which is admittedly the fault of my primary care physician), since Dr Louie wasn’t able to help in any way at all(other than suggesting over the counter drugs that I’d already told him I’d tried). When I asked how I’d go about finding an allergist(do I need another referral?), he basically said it’s not his problem, contact my insurance, and walked out of the room. I guess that meant my appointment was over. The insult to literal injury is that I paid $ 300 for this in-network asshat to insult me for 10 minutes. Zero stars.

Tough to get to, no parking, and worst of all a rude receptionist named Katelyn. This person alone brings down the entire office. She could care less about you or anything you have to say. She’s like that nightmare of a person who will dodge your questions, tell you her manager is unavailable, and then refer you to the emergency room. I asked her if she’d actually ever been to an emergency room and she said«No». Well then Katelyn(if that’s your real name) then why would you so flippantly suggest ER? Wait for hours and pay through the nose? What a little jokester. If I’m running a business the LAST person I would want representing it would be Katelyn because you make me look bad. Funny thing too… when I told her I’d be calling back to talk to her manager and go to Unilocal she replied with«Well if that’s what you do best then do it». Haha. Katelyn you’re a waste of a human body. Your parents not give you enough love? Well don’t take it out on a business you did nothing to build. Stand down, show some respect and customer service. Do your job. Try looking up the word«professional».

I went to see Dr. Louie this past week because I had lost hearing in my right ear for the past 3 weeks. I was kind of scared at first, but was quickly reassured by Dr. Louie’s calm and gentle demeanor. I was impressed with him even before I met him! While waiting for him I saw that he had countless degrees. On top of his undergrad and medical degrees, he had a law degree and a masters in public administration! I later asked him about them and he just said he loved to go to school. Anyways, he quickly diagnosed that I just had way too much ear wax, and that was clogging up my hearing in my right ear. So he dropped peroxide into my ear and used a vaccuum to suck all the wax out. It actually felt really good and was a nice reprieve from my workday. I just laid there and actually took a nap while he went to work on my ear. He later showed me some of the stuff that he took out, and it was not pretty! The office staff were very nice as well. They were all girls and I think either they were oogling at me or I had something hanging from my nose because I heard them speaking in Chinese to each other and then they were all smiling at me. I would highly recommend Dr. Louie for any ear, nose, or throat issues!
