Lovers’ Lane is the Presidio’s oldest footpath. It connects the heart of the Presidio to Pacific Heights. A walk along Lovers’ Lane takes visitors past majestic eucalyptus groves, a great place to glimpse raptors and other birds of prey. Look closely between the trees to spot Andy Goldsworthy’s sculpture Wood Line, a sinuous configuration of eucalyptus branches. Lovers’ Lane journeys through the Tennessee Hollow Watershed, offering views of newly planted cypress trees, historic homes, and a footbridge dating from 1885.
