We are a full service San Francisco maintenance company. Our crew includes plumbers, electricians, carpenters, tile layers, painters, cleaners and so on. We have been renovating apartments, condos, homes and commercial buildings in San Francisco since 1995 and much of our 18 man crew has been with us for the last ten years working on our own development projects. We offer maintenance work, turnover services and renovations. I bill out small repair work on a T&M basis ($ 50/​hr. depending on trade) and provide fixed bids for larger jobs. The company is licensed and insured. Craig Lipton, the owner, has been in the apartment business in the city for the past 20 years as an owner, broker, manager, contractor and developer. History

Established in 2002.

The company grew out of my own maintenance needs, as I acquired apartment buildings in San Francisco. Between 1995 and 2000, I had purchased over a dozen properties throughout San Francisco totaling over 200 residential units. in the past few years, we started developing TICs in the city and expanded the crew further. The past couple of years, we started offering our services to other owners.

Craig Lipton is an experienced real estate entrepreneur who has been actively involved in the investment real estate business in San Francisco since 1990. He is the owner and driving force behind Maven Investments, a boutique investment firm with an emphasis on San Francisco value added projects. As support businesses to Maven Investments, Maven Maintenance Inc., offers licensed general contracting services while Maven Brokerage Inc., is a licensed California real estate brokerage specializing in the sale of San Francisco apartment buildings. Prior to forming Maven Investments, Craig was a senior associate at Arroyo & Coates, Inc, a commercial real estate brokerage company in San Francisco. At Arroyo & Coates, Craig specialized in the sale of San Francisco apartment buildings. By the time he resigned his position he had sold over 50 apartment buildings in San Francisco with a total market value in excess of $ 100 million.

In a city with many unreliable and expensive contractors, Maven has been incredibly refreshing to work with. Maven is professional, pays attention to details, and delivers cost-​effective work on time and at a very reasonable cost. I worked with the Maven team recently for my kitchen and bathroom renovation. They are always quick to respond to my needs, and have been very understanding when I had issues with my tenant moving out which caused some initial delays. Craig even helped me connect to his attorney to discuss potential solutions for my situation. Being new in town, Jerry was also extremely hands on in helping me with the whole design and purchase of materials. I would highly recommend Maven to all my friends for any renovation needs!

Maven crew completed a major project at one of my properties in San Francisco. I was converting a living room to a bedroom, which involved extending an existing wall, rebuilding parts of the ceiling, electrical rewiring for light switches, installation of a new sprinkler, carbon monoxide detector, air conditioning vent, etc. Before moving forward with Maven Maintenance, I collected a few bids, and despite theirs was on the higher spectrum, I still moved forward with this crew, because I felt they would do the job right. I am so glad I selected the Maven’s team. Jerry, the manager was great to work with. He was promptly available to discuss any details of the project, and he also offered his guidance and advice, backed by his strong experience in the field. Whatever little touch ups that had to be done at the end, the crew took care of momentarily. Overall they did an excellent job — high quality and care showed throughout the entire project. If you are looking for a reliable crew, go with Maven Maintenance Inc. I am using this team for my next project for sure!

I own and manage a 15 unit apartment in SF. I started using Maven in April 2014. Great crews that handle a variety of jobs from small repairs to complete remodels. Jerry their foreman is wonderful. They pay attention to detail and get things done on time. When they don’t do certain work they always have a reliable reference for me to use. Highly recommended.

We recently purchased a property in San Francisco where we needed to do a major remodel on a unit for one of our family members. This required taking the walls and ceilings back to the studs, rewiring and new plumbing along with removing walls to enlarge the space.
On the suggestion of a Realtor friend and Unilocal,we decided on Maven.
Timing was a real concern and they have performed unbelievably well. Their workmen are of the highest caliber producing beautiful workmanship and a truly great result with the minimum effort on our part. Their crews are fully supervised at all times and the job site was always clean and neat. We have been able to accomplish more than we expected and are very happy with them and their budget.
In short, we can not recommend them highly enough.

I have used Maven for renovation of three of our apartments. They did a good job at a very fair price and I will continue to use them. I also bought 2 buildings from Maven 5 years ago. About a dozen of the apartments had been remodeled by Maven. These are tasteful and show well and rent easier than others. Their experience is also helpful in my remodels because they have probably remodeled a similiar apartment and can offer layouts that will improve the units.

As an operator of property management and real estate brokerage firm in SF, I occasionally get too much on my plate to handle everything with coordinating apt remodels, handling sales activity, and the daily operation.
At those times, I know I can call Maven and give them some of our workload with the confidence that the work will be done efficiently, on time and on budget. I currently manage 2 properties formerly owned by Craig Lipton where 90% of the units were remodeled by Maven. These buildings run very smoothly and vacant units are often the easiest to rent.
In the recent past, Maven Maintenance has completed full apt renovations which included kitchens and baths entailing electrical, plumbing, tile, drywall and finish work. They have always done a nice job and I will continue to call them and recommend them to others in the future.

Every time I deal with Jerry and the guys they always do an amazing job for me. They are professional, courteous and they troubleshoot issues so you don’t have to. I have used various maintenance companies and contractors to perform repairs and remodels on apartment buildings for over 12 years in the Bay Area.
