Michael Padway & Associates

I was in an accident caused by a cab driver and the entire thing was captured on video by a camera on the dashboard in the taxi. I was injured and was not at fault. I bought into the urban myth that I would be compensated fairly. After a referral from some members at the San Francisco Motorcycle Club I hired Michael Padway to represent me. From the initial consultation, Mr Padway warned me that the path ahead was not going to be as easy as I imagined it would be. I’m not sure I believed him, but after two years we settled with the cab company, and then they filed for bankruptcy.
Extremely disappointed by the outcome of the case, I am still leaving Mike Padway five stars and this is why:
Mike is honest and always tried to set my expectations fairly whether I heard him or not is my issue.
Mike returns phone calls and emails, which is not something attorneys are always great at. He even called me from Europe where he was on holiday with his wife.
Mike is considered to be an expert in all things motorcycle and he has an excellent track record.
In my case he spent tens of thousands of dollars that he will not get back and instead of coming after me, he has written the debt off.
Even now, he still continues to advise and represent me.
I would highly recommend him without hesitation.

I’ve never had to hire a lawyer before so I was a bit apprehensive about going to Michael for my motorcycle accident. Society has given lawyers a certain image … one that would lean more toward the negative side. Because of this, I didn’t expect an entirely pleasant experience.
However, the entire legal process turned out to be quite different than my expectations. Mike and Myrrhia were always very professional and courteous to me; I felt that I was in the loop throughout the entire process. They took the time to explain things whenever I had any questions (phone and email), and I never once felt rushed as if they had to get to more important clients.
Also, they took care of my case really quickly (compared to what I have heard about similar cases), so that was very surprising!

Mike is dishonest lawyer and unethical man. He represented me poorly and had his «experts» which includes his own son who produced sub par work, charge me inflated costs. I had to hire an attorney to deal with Mr. Padway. Find another lawyer, you will be better off and not ripped off.

Michael helped me to defeat Farmer’s insurance on a case where, despite both a favorable police report, and an eye witness account of their insured motorist pulling out of a parking spot (without looking) and striking my motorcycle, they refused to take any responsibility for their insured.
Mike got me a settlement for me that exceeded the insured’s policy limits, providing copious support and encouragement throughout the process. If you need representation on a motorcycle accident, look no further, as Mike is truly as good an advocate as you will find anywhere.

After being involved in a motorcycle accident where I was found to be 0% at fault, I started to seek out legal advice pertaining to the accident and specifically how to best handle getting the other party’s insurance to cover the extensive medical bills I had incurred from my trip to the ER. I wasn’t sure how this processed worked, what pitfalls or obstacles to expect, or other forms of recompense I might have been entitled to. I called Padway and Associates after some due diligence on several firms dealing with personal injury, based on their positive reputation here and elsewhere.
After explaining the details of my incident to Michael, he was forthright and helpful in explaining why my case was not a candidate for a lawsuit, but still gave me a lot of great advice on how to deal with the insurance company with specific guidance relevant to the details of my incident.
Due to that advice, I avoided several mistakes that could have cost me a great deal of time and aggravation.
I got the impression immediately that Padway and Associates have «seen it all» and speak in plain language about how they can or can’t help you. Suffice to say, it was the most pleasant interaction I’ve had with a lawyer, and I would definitely have worked with this firm had the need been present.

Michael was very helpful and informative in my situation and gave be excellent advise.

Over two years I worked with Mike on my case. There was not a defense medical examination that he did not personally attend with me, a deposition that he did not handle himself, nor an expert examination of the place where the accident happened that he was not personally present for. He and Myrrhia were available to me at any time and led me through the entire process.
He beat the defense repeatedly in motion after motion, something like seven times in a row. My medical history, so complicated, that in order to keep issues separate, he obtained court orders that limited the scope of defense medical examinations and when he attended the examinations with me he documented every aspect and demanded compliance with the orders. These orders were ground breaking. He has been consulted by his peers on how these worked! Nothing about my case was cookie cutter.
Unfortunately, a subsequent accident made things less clear. The issues that I had were not the suspect «soft tissue injuries» at all. They were easy to document and quantify damages, but also easy for the defense to question, and spend lots of time and money doing so. Ultimately, the defense spent probably twice the face amount of the lawsuit defending it, all the while refusing to settle for a fraction of that. Even though the issue of who was liable was not at issue, my case was not helped by witnesses declining to testify and then there was my employer, who declined to testify after initially agreeing to do so.
After bringing in co-​counsel to assess the case and work with the defendants we eventually settled out of court. After two years and tons of expenses there just wasn’t much into any of our wallets in the end, but I admire the determination Mike took with my case and how resourceful he was at every turn.

Michael reviewed my incident with me in length and gave me great advice. Hopefully my situation will not require his services in a representative capacity, but his initial consultation was extensive. I would hire him in an instant if needed.

Words cannot begin to describe how appreciate I am of the help Myrrhia and Michael Padway have given me.
It is a very difficult week after having an accident, and I needed to talk to someone who’s very understanding and has time cause I was hurt and upset. Myrrhia spent an hour on the phone with me that day and gave me all the information I needed to move forward with handling the accident and insurance companies. There are things that we just don’t know about and insurance companies will take every opportunity to capitalize. Michael and Myrrhia informed me of numerous rights, an example of which is jury code 3903M which states that insurance companies must compensate you for the reasonable cost to rent a similar [item of personal property] for the amount of time reasonably necessary to repair or replace the [item of personal property]. This seemed foreign to the insurance company but I have actually been able to get them to pay for a rental motorcycle. This is just one of the many pieces of knowledge imparted upon me by Michael and Myrrhia.
I want to mention, it was evident that their office would not be taking my case from the start, however that did not stop Michael or Myrrhia from offering their help and guidance. True Samaritans! In fact Michael continues to help me out, giving me honest advice/​guidance. Do not call this attorney… they will not treat you well and could care less if they win your case. I had a brutal experience. Horrible service… Michael and his receptionist are really rude on the phone. Don’t waste your time. Seriously… call another attorney… they will not fight for you.
