Mitch the Geek

Mitch is a savior, a laid back, no judgement savior. My laptop was wreaking havoc, I reached out to him, he worked around my schedule and my laptop was done and better than ever within a day. He didn’t move forward with any of his suggestions without my go-​ahead. Very reasonably priced. I even have geek squad but decided not to work with them because my laptop was out of commission for over a week when I went through them last time. Thank you Mitch! I’ll be back if/​when I need it.

My hard drive crashed and laptop was completely dead. Mitch was super helpful in getting my system back up and running.
What separates Mitch from any other tech shop you could turn to is his transparency and flexibility. He’s honest about how much he can help you with and is more than happy to answer all your questions and then some. If your computer is causing you any grief, Mitch Harris (aka Mitch the Geek) should be the first person you call. I recently converted from PC to Mac. Mitch helped me figure out what to buy, where to buy it, whether it was better to buy more memory up front or upgrade later, which protection plan he would recommend, etc. After I received my new MacBook Pro, I had a lot of trouble getting my work applications to function properly (as they were not optimized for Mac. I was in an extremely busy period at work, totally frazzled, freaking out, and ready tho throw my new MacBook Pro out the window. Mitch to the Rescue! He helped me devise a solution where I could still run my work apps through Windows and that would allow me to get to know and love my Mac at my own pace, while still being a productive worker. He walked me through my options, asking questions about how I liked to work and what my preferences were. He came up with a fantastic solution and implemented it via remote access to my machine, which was fantastic because it took many hours to install /​configure everything. During remote access sessions, he can log into my computer and control my screen. For the time-​consuming stuff like downloading files and installing software, he can kick off the process and then we can both go do other things with our time (other than watching the status bar!). For the part that requires my input, I can sit at my computer and watch what he’s doing /​talk to him through the computer (like a phone!), and work together to configure everything. (He also does in-​home appointments for those who are less comfortable with remote access). I am now up & running on my new setup with so much less stress & drama. I have also had a few follow up «calls» where I couldn’t figure out how to find or do something. Mitch just logged back into my computer (with my invitation/​permission, of course) and showed me how to fix it /​navigate the system. That was SO much faster than having to make an appointment in-​person!
I should probably also mention that Mitch has a very calm and patient demeanor which helps a lot when you are having computer trouble! I would *highly* recommend Mitch for all of your computer issues. He can do anything, on any system. I trust him completely!
