What a great service it was !!!, I was very happy at that time. The quality of their repaying service was great than the other place in this area. To live the city I feel proud. Their repairing rat was responsible for the all type of the customer.

I just have to give these guys some serious props. They told me they were not the right folks to help me with my troubles. But they happily gave me a wonderful referral to another business in the area that was perfection to help me. So many companies these days just play dumb when you ask for a referral and it always makes me feel sad at how small & isolated our communities have become.
So props to these guys!!!

I wanted to update my review. I’ve called these guys (emailed actually) 3 times now for help with my network and individual computers. Once again, they exceeded expectations. They are efficient and effective. It’s just great to have a resource like this especially since we’ve become so dependent on our computers and network.

One year later, I am still happy with the decision.

Took almost 24 hours to reply to e-​mail. Replied with a «helpful suggestion» which ran «recommend installing google chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Internet explorer is notorious for crashing. Those other two browser will work better. Chrome is a lot faster as well. If you still have issues let us know». Um… I am not a geek or a nerd, but, I do know how to use different browsers! As Alice said «curiouser and curiouser».
Maybe they were trying to be nice and save me money? No idea. Not helpful though. Will rate the place that e-​mailed me back promptly, once I get my laptop back.

Nerd busters wasn’t able to take my printer on site to fix (due to moving offices) but Chris Ganister, a Sr. Systems Administrator, was able to give me a few tricks to try and it worked. Saved me the hassle of finding another printer repair shop and some $$. Thanks Chris.

Stephen is not only very talented, but he is relentless in his mission to satisfy the customer. I had one of the most headache-​inducing computer problems out there, which I myself had trouble-​shot for months, and Stephen worked and worked and worked until every possible cause was resolved, leaving me with a machine that functions perfectly. Although it is easy for hourly computer techs to misdiagnose a problem and send you on your way, Stephen refuses to do so, standing by Nerdbusters’ workmanship guarantee, which is reason enough to use these guys for your next flustering computer fiasco. Bravo!

This is my second review for Nerd Busters. I wrote one back in March 2013 but Unilocal didn’t post it & Nerd Busters didn’t get credit for it since I’m relatively new to Unilocal.That was a bummer. Anyway, I wanted to take a moment to write a second review in hopes it’d get posted this time because these guys are great!
I’m self-​employed and thus my own IT department, which is not a good thing! Will is now my new IT department! He’s super friendly, very quick to respond and very patient. He was able to sort through my myriad of notes, questions, error messages (pictures of error messages!), etc and he fixed everything! Another huge plus — he did everything remotely! So convenient and I actually learned a thing or two because he explained to me (over the phone) what he was doing and why he was doing it while I watched him work — right from the comfort of my home office. Very cool. And he didn’t make me feel stupid, which I really appreciated — hey, some of us are really tech-​challenged!
As I mentioned in my prior review, a member of the Nerd Buster’s team also did a house-​call for my parents a few weeks ago & they were pleased as well. They’re all really nice guys.
So whether you need help with a bigger in-​home issue, or just a checkup & cleaning of your laptop — these are the guys for you!
Oh — and I think the price is very reasonable — $ 100 for a remote session that included responding to my multiple emails, fixing all of my problems, answering my questions, teaching me what things are and why they’re there & removing unnecessary items — all without the hassle or expense (gas!) of physically taking it somewhere. Fantastic!

This is a stellar group to deal with, prompt, professional, reasonable, and personable. My appointments were quickly scheduled and help was on the way, my computer woes alleviated, all was well by sundown. I’ve dealt with both Stephan and Will and give the highest recommendation.

Had to have the screen replaced on my 2010 15″ macbook pro, which is a very expensive repair. I live in a place with very few options as far as apple licensed stores go (Eureka area) so i decided to just send it off somewhere. They offered a better price than all the other places I got prices from (the highest Unilocal rated apple licensed stores in northern California). They were able to do the repair quickly and overall their customer service was excellent.

Our computer melted down to… well, it was unrepairable after we mistakenly accepted a virus disguised as Norten. We booked our appointment online, and within minutes, we received a call from Nerdbusters to let us know they might not be able to make it on time. Fast forward 5 hours, and we received another call to say they still would be late for our rescheduled time. Luckilly, we were not busy that day– normally, this would’ve been a deal-​breaker (1 star deducted from the covetted 5 star rating). When Steve showed up, he was totally awesome– he diagnosed, fixed and was out of our place in around 2 hrs– we sat with him, probably the most annoying thing you could do– and he didn’t blink. He was cool, easy to communicate with, and he tried to educate us on what he was doing as he went through his fix process. I highly recommend these guys!

So, the house computer, a Powermac G5, spontaneously died and wouldn’t come back on. My husband rightly diagnosed it as a problem with the power supply. He ordered the replacement part and I called around to mac repair shops in the city.
As far as I can tell none of the mac places in the city are geared towards individuals. They don’t stay open past 6, they have no parking of their own and they have no weekend hours.
i found Nerd Busters on Unilocal and it seems like a lot of other people have too. I had a hard time getting in touch with someone who could answer my questions. The phone number on the site is an answering service and I didn’t want to do an online scheduling until I could work out the details with a human being.
So it turns out Stephen is a one-​man operation who does a good job and is therefore very busy and can be hard to get in touch with. But I’m glad that I persisted. He does house-​calls or pick-​up and drop off. So there’s no lugging of heavy objects all over town. He does repairs on the weekends and after work hours.
He came over on a Saturday, was professional and courteous and perhaps most importantly had our computer up and running in under an hour for the same price as the other shops.
He’s our mac guy from now on.

Steve was great — easy to make an appointment on his website, and he showed up right on time without any need for verifying over the phone. Helped streamline our wireless network within an hour, and this was no easy task given the excess hardware and printing needs we had. Really appreciated his professionalism and expertise. Would use him again anytime.

All I can say is WOW! Had a problem w/​my computer and thought, who do I go to … In this day and age everyone and their brother is a rip off artist and you really have to be on your toes. Set up an appt with Stephen and he showed up on time. good start. Talk about knowledgeable. A real human, not pretentious at all. Went to work and whipped thru all these programs my head was spinning. Explained what he was doing along the way. Nice, nice, nice. Found the problem and fixed it pronto. I cannot more highly recommend an individual. Don’t hesitate to call this company for any of your electronic woes. Finally, an honest tradesman.

Stephen is super smart and professional. He showed up on time, rewired the phone line, dealt with old school DSL wiring and we were able to finally move our DSL modem and router out of my daughter’s bedroom (former office).
He’s got mad tech skills, a get it done attitude, a good sense of humor. He’s the best!

Steve is great! He was very professional, followed up quickly after I made my appointment online, arrived on time and fixed my network problem quickly after I spent 3 frustrating days trying to fix it myself. He knows what he is doing! His fee was extremely reasonable. A solid 5-​stars+.

Steve is an amazing professional. He was able to straighten the mess that the Comcast tech left and now I have a perfectly working AV system. I can now enjoy my surround sound system and operate all functions on 1 remote. He is very knowledgeable and friendly (pet-​friendly too). He definitely knows his stuff!!! I highly recommend him! A solid 5 Stars! If he had a FB page, I would def LIKE! And his fees are fair, honest and ¹⁄₃ of the Geek Squad’s estimates.

OMG — I thought I was smart enough to handle setting up a network in the house on my own. I moved into my boyfriend’s house (now my husband) last May. I had been working to get the network set up since. I’ve bought routers and airports and have had friends and friends of friends come over to help, I’ve disconnected all the equipment and brought it in to the Apple help desk… and yet… things kept getting messed up.
But Steve corrected the entire mess and set up the house with a completely functional wifi in just 1 hour. This man rocks! He even humored the dog sniffing him and everything he brought in the house with a smile and a hell of a lot of professionalism!
Easy to contact, easy to schedule, prompt, fast…

Stephen is awesome! It took him just one day to figure out and fix our computer for a very affordable price. It was full of viruses and wouldn’t even turn on. It works great ever since. Definitely recommend him to everyone!

Steve at NerdBusters is wonderful! As a new nonprofit without an office, it is super important that our organizations laptops and printers work perfectly each and every time. Time is of the essence and our money is precious.
Steve initially worked with us to set up our one «problem» printer and sync it to our laptop [our Founder *cough* is technologically illiterate]. While syncing up our laptop, he noticed that one of our laptops was faaaar from optimized, and needed some major help. One hour later, our organization’s laptop was [comparatively speaking] processing at the speed of light. Sweet! He even showed us some cool new Mac tricks that have increased our productivity.
