Great and higher end jewelry selection. My nose piercing was painless and the guy (I think his name was Perry) took his time explaining care instructions and didn’t make me feel like I had to rush. My nose piercing healed so quickly! It never felt infected or like I was fighting to keep it from getting irritated or infected. I think it was mostly due to the great after care instructions I received.

All in all the experience I’ve had here wasn’t TERRIBLE, but I would probably opt to go elsewhere. The dark haired lady at the front counter is quite negative. If she is the face of your business, you may want to consider replacing her. She has a very condescending tone with the customers, and acted like she would rather be doing anything else than helping us get set up with piercings.
The piercing is cute, and the jewelry is adorable though a bit high in price. I had my daith pierced and he had to pretty much start over mid piercing and re-​try. OUCH! It is cute, but damn that hurt!
I’d go back if there was someone a bit more welcoming and polite at the counter. «I’m going to ask you NOT to touch your own piercings.» Seriously?

I was beyond impressed with my experience here. Came in for a simple piercing of my earlobes (a re-​do of a second and third hole done that had mostly closed from a home piercing done with a needle many years ago).
I loved the jewelry selection to start! Lots to choose from and the gal behind the counter was very nice and explained what was an option from the wide array
I didn’t make an appointment, but came in soon after opening so I had to wait a bit. Which wasn’t too bad at all.
Chris was excellent. He checked out my previous piercings. One he could re-​open and he suggested making the third hole new. The spacing was spot on and he was done in no time.
I will definitely return for some more piercings. Not the cheapest spot, though who wants a cheap experience? I’d rather have top notch jewelry and a clean environment any day.

Got a tattoo done by someone that worked at a nearby tattoo shop. Long story short, it was the worst thing I’ve gotten in years. I was honestly ashamed to even show my arm, I was basically running around from shop to shop trying to figure out what to do. Eventually I went in to Rose gold’s tattoo, I told them about my problem and right away they told me that Ben Matthews was the guy I needed. I looked at his portfolio and his online pictures and I contacted him, he was friendly and professional, got straight to the point and I made an appointment. My arm looks a million times better and I have a second session to complete it. Needless to say I will be coming back to complete my sleeve and probably every other tattoo I will need in life.

Still 5 stars. Customer service is good. Place is clean. $ 180 an hr. SF prices but worth the pay. Orio is great.

My friend recommended me to Rose Gold after her great experience here. At the time I was looking around at a lot of local shops to get my first tattoo done at and it was a very overwhelming process. My friend happened to be going for her touch up so I went with her. The shop is awesome, the receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful. I decided that day to put down my deposit and jump into the process.
The idea I had was for a garter tattoo, but was Wyatt Earp’s gun, holster, and belt. I picked Jared for my tattoo and I couldn’t be happier that I did. He did everything how I wanted and it came out even better than I thought it would. It really is an incredible piece of work, and I can’t thank him enough. If what you’re thinking about getting tattooed is realistic looking, I would totally recommend him.
Tips? Just bring cash.

I came in for my first and second tattoos with my friend in October. I was super nervous considering I’ve been wanting these for a while but never had the courage to. Upon entering the receptionist was super sweet and friendly. I was super thankful that she was so welcoming because I always think that tattoo shops laugh at tattoo newbies. But the one who really made the experience great was Sadie. She was so nice and friendly and definitely accommodated what I wanted and gave me advice on my designs which I appreciated very much. Although the store minimum payment is a little high, I am still very happy with my tattoos and would definitely come back for any other ones I’d want!

I had such a great experience I went there with my boyfriend. I found them on Instagram because I was interested in Maya jewelry. The Lady up front was friendly, she help me order more jewelry. Definitely coming back!

I came here to get my first tattoo and my second tattoo done. I wanted to ball out for my first tattoo but I was scared so I got a small lettering tattoo on the back of my neck which didn’t hurt at all.
Adam knew it was my first tattoo, and he was very nice to me and made sure he led me through all the steps. He explained in details of what I should be expecting and calmed me down so I felt comfortable and not scared.
My second tattoo I got from Adam was a half sleeve of a koi fish with lotus flower. At first I was not sure if I wanted colors or not but I ended up getting colors and Adam chose such pretty colors that goes well with my skin tone. It’s been over a year since I got both of my tattoos from him and even to this day, I get lots of compliments. He even made me famous on Reddit!
I don’t exactly remember how much I paid but I would DEFINITELY come here if I was ever planning to have another tattoo.

Been working with Orio for the last 6 or 7 years, and have never been let down with his work. Aside from Orio being one of the greatest tattoo artists I’ve ever met, everyone at this shop is exceptional, and incredibly friendly. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with the piercing staff, girls working behind the glass counter, and all the other tattoo artists.

I was a late walk in this past Saturday at Rose Gold. Their interiors are awesomely decorated and very professional and clean-​looking. I showed the girl at the front what I wanted, and (very kindly) informed me that tattoo image I was looking at was actually upside down. Thank GOD she told me that! As a first time tattoo-​ee, I had no idea, so I am thankful that they look out for their clients, even newbies. Ben squeezed me in at the end of his shift. He was extremely professional and made me feel safe and at ease. He did an amazing job on the details and linework and was willing to work with me a few times on the positioning. I absolutely love it. I I would highly recommend Ben to anyone looking for an awesome artist with a professional demeanor.

I couldn’t have picked a better place to get my third tattoo. Everyone was SO friendly from the second I walked in the door, and the place was so obviously clean. I felt so comfortable, and Ben Matthews, the artist who did my tattoo (3 stars from the Harry Potter books) so clearly knew what he was doing. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Pricing is very reasonable and fair as well.
If you want a tattoo, this is definitely the place to go!

I can’t speak highly enough of Rose Gold’s and the staff. I went in for a nose ring piercing. I went in on a Thursday night without an appointment, and was able to get it done with just a 10 minute wait. The girl behind the front counter (wish I could remember her name) was *extremely* helpful with finding me a nose ring to match my tastes and style. I could tell she genuinely wanted to help me find just the right one.
Perry did the actual piercing, and he was just fantastic. He was very friendly and joking around with me. He thoroughly explained the entire process to me, and answered all my silly questions kindly and professionally.
The actual piercing went very smoothly, minimal pain, and it turned out just how I had in mind. They made sure I understood how to take care of the piercing and keep it clean, and gave me their business cards, and wished me well.
They went above average customer service, and you could tell they really cared and enjoyed their job.
The shop is in a really cool space, and is open, airy, and very clean. I would recommend this shop to anyone who is looking to get a piercing or tattoo, especially a first-​timer.

Great shop! I went in for piercings, not a tattoo. I wanted to get an industrial bar, but Perry (the piercer) talked me out of it because he said due to the shape of my ears, it wouldn’t heal correctly. I really appreciated his honesty! Ended up getting a conch and rook piercing on my other ear instead. He did a great transfer and the piercings barely hurt.

This is by far the best shop in San Francisco! Talk about a shop with a whole lot of personality and talent! I have been a loyal customer ever since the very first day Rose Gold opened. The entire staff is extremely friendly, the shop is clean, and everything is presented beautifully! Marie and Melissa are such kind, and personable people that always make you walk out of the shop looking and feeling great! This is definitely a busy shop, but these ladies are always able to schedule my appointments in a timely manner.
I have been tattooed by both Orio and Ben several times, and each experience has been absolutely incredible — they are both extremely talented, patient when I’m indecisive at times, and most importantly, they give great advice — there’s never any hesitation to let me know how to make my tattoo ideas even better, or bring other suggestions to the table.
I would highly recommend this shop if it’s your first time getting a tattoo or piercing, or if you are looking for a go-​to shop in the city! Rose Gold is definitely a home for me and a place that is dear to my heart.

So, I decided to look for a new tattoo artist and if you ever went through THAT process looking for an artist, it can get very time consuming — so, did the internet search, looked at the reviews, and checked out previous work. I know what I’m looking for, which made picking Orio Guevara the perfect person to do the work. I scheduled a meeting with him, and went over a design I was hoping he could take up on doing. He came up with some great ideas and we went back and forth on the design. Needless to say, the collaboration in the meeting was «off the hook» :-) We clicked immediately, I mean this guy is a true artist, but totally open to your ideas and suggestions and know how to make it look great! He explained things so well that you could instantly imagine what he was talking about. He’s upfront honest, and that’s exactly what I needed to move forward on getting the design going.
The facility is clean, and the crew was friendly. The price is perfect, for such a great job on the work that was done. Orio kept making sure the session was comfortable for me, and offered to take a break in between if I needed it. He is personable, and just an all-​around great guy.
The result of the work, which he did on my back, came out PERFECT! I went to him again on another design on my right shoulder and plan to test his skills (which I have no doubt in my mind he will do an awesome job at) on redoing a previous job that was done on my left shoulder, and half sleeve in time. CAN’T F$%CKING WAIT! :-)
I highly recommend Rose’s Gold and Orio Guevara. Totally worth it! Check out his Instagram for work that he has done previously and you’ll see the guy does inspirational work on shading and lines. I don’t do color, but just looking at some of his work has got me open to the idea. We’ll see… schedule a time with Orio and you too will be equally impressed by him.

So I’ve been meaning to write this review! I went in a couple weeks ago to get my septum pierced (side note: needles and I aren’t the best of friends) I did not schedule an appointment and I walked in 30 minutes before closing and it was not a problem. Everyone was so nice and I was immediately greeted.
Chris did the piercing for me. It was extremely quick! And nearly painless. He answered the thousands of questions I had concerning the aftercare. I am definitely going back in the near future.
Oh! And every piece of their body jewelry were absolutely beautiful. You have a big selection to choose from.

I was looking for someone to do some script work on me. I searched and reviewed about 15 shops in SF for about 6 months. A friend recommend Orio at Rose Gold’s. After my search, my top choices were Spirit Tattoo and Rose Golds. I finally decided to go with Orio because of his history with script work.
The experience was fantastic. Personally being anal about the placement I wanted to make sure it was perfectly aligned. Orio was incredibly patience and accommodating. His energy was great, he seemed just as committed to proper placement as I was.
I couldn’t be happier with the final work he did and the experience at Rose Golds.

Waving hand over here! Rose Gold’s Tattoo & Piercing. I was referred to the man they call «Orio» yes pronounced like Oreo the cookie.
Where to begin? I called in and scheduled a consultation with the artist, walked in a week later and told the artist what I wanted. My first impression of him? very easy to talk too and welcoming. The shop itself is inviting, has that hipster appeal. Two weeks later I walk in so scared due to my past experiences with my tattoos. All I can think about was getting stabbed in the back 20 times LOL Orio mentions are you scared? I said HELL YA!
Thank god for friend support HAHA I brought along one of my BFF’s to keep me distracted but I didn’t need her after 5 mins I was fine! Out of a scale 1 – 10, 10 being the worse of pain I felt a ⁴⁄₅. I did not yell or scream like I thought. (Soilder over here) but I’m not going to lie, any tattoo has pain. With Orio he’s gentle and not heavy handed like my last two artists. WOOHOOO
Orio is efficient, thorough, a comedian who has many stories, and organized. In all aspects of his craft he genuinely loves what he does and takes pride in his work. I felt comfortable and had a blast with his sense of humor, which kept my mind busy.
