Virginia was our wedding florist earlier this year. She was recommended to me by my sisters who also had Virginia as their wedding florist. Virginia was very accommodating with our busy work schedules and responded to emails promptly. She was very professional, friendly, and easy to work with. She provided great suggestions to help us stay within our budget. The flowers for our ceremony, reception, bouquets, corsages, boutonnières, and cake turned out beautifully. called in to see if it was possible to make a hong kong style bouquet with a 2 hour notice. She was more than happy to make it. It was gorgeous! $ 89.50 for the bouquet.

If I can give Virginia more stars I definitely would. As a matter of fact, I came on Unilocal just to give her a review. I ordered flowers for Mother’s Day, but it totally slipped my mind that my mother’s birthday was also a week before Mother’s Day. I called Virginia the day-​of and asked her if she can try to accommodate sending the flowers on that day. Unfortunately, all the people delivering flowers had left for the day already. However, Virginia did everything in her power to make sure the flowers were at her door at the end of the day, hand-​delivered. A truly compassionate woman that will do her best to meet your needs. The cost was a little pricey, but my mom said it was the most beautiful flowers she has ever received. Thank you Virginia!

Likes: Virginia is a wonderful florist to work with. She really knows what she’s doing and offers a lot of tips and advice on how to improve your wedding and areas you can save on money because she does wedding coordinating as well. She made these gorgeous flower arrangements for the altar, cute little glass mason jars for the pews, bouquets and boutonnieres, table centerpieces and chair covers with lavender sashes for our wedding and everyone loved it. She is patient and easy to work with, quickly communicates via email and text, her prices are very reasonable for SF, but most importantly you can tell her heart is in it. Thank you Virginia for making our wedding a day to remember!

Virginia was one of the best things at my wedding, our wedding wouldn’t have run so smoothly without her. The flowers, table settings, and backdrop was everything I wanted and more. The flowers were studding and so beautiful, I received so many compliments about them.
Virginia was also my day of coordinator, and she was so great, she talked to all my vendors set them up and my day ran so smoothly, I didn’t even feel stress about anything at the wedding.
Virginia knows what she is doing, She has so many weddings under her portfolio, she is honest on what will work and what will not, which i truly appreciate when you are super stress in planning the rest of the wedding details.
Her prices are the most reasonable when comparing her to other florist, and her work doesn’t disappoint.

Virginia was AWESOME! I was the best man for my brother’s wedding and Virginia made my task of suiting up the groomsmen really easy. Four of the groomsmen were out of towners so I was a bit nervous about getting all of their tuxes sized and fitted. Virginia made it easy for me to send each of the groomsmen to a local shop in Boise, Santa Barbara, Philadelphia, and Fresno. She coordinated with everyone and got the sizes just right for the big day.
One of the groomsmen is now using his local Jim’s Formal Wear, where he got sized up, for his own wedding.

I knew that I wanted my husband’s tux to be navy blue, so I picked colors that I loved for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to wear based on that. From there, it dictated the colors I wanted my flowers to be as well as the colors for my decorations. Planning a wedding requires a lot of imagination. You’re picking flowers, chairs, decorations, linen… etc etc to all go together without ever seeing them together until the day of. Flowers are no different. I picked the colors and types of ribbons and lace for the bouquets, the boutonnieres, the corsages, the flower girls’ baskets and halos. Lucky for me and thanks to Virginia, my flowers were absolutely gorgeous! They were better than anything I could have imagined. See my pictures posted.
Virginia is very experienced and knows her flowers well. When I met with her the first time, she pointed out many factors I had to consider when picking out my flowers — whether they were seasonal, their cost, how fragile they are to temperature and light etc. I really appreciated this information since I’d never done this type of planning before. Virginia does have very strong opinions, so I needed some reminders from my husband that it was my wedding, and the final decisions were up to me.
The one big hiccup I had working with Virginia was lack of organization. After our initial meeting, she sent me the proposal, which had missing and incorrect information. It wasn’t until after many correspondences and over 2 months later before the proposal was close to correct. In fairness, I did change my mind about the number of vases I needed etc, but each time I emailed her my update, I would receive an «updated proposal» that appeared to be an even older version of the proposal. It turns out that she would update the wrong versions of the proposal. From these encounters, I was very concerned about how she would keep my details straight for the actual wedding day. However, Virginia got the details correct and exceeded my expectations. The flower arrangements were beautiful. Also, you really can’t beat her prices.

Virginia was super helpful and knowledgable. Our wedding turned out beautiful with her ideas and vision for all the decorations. I personally know nothing about flowers but Virginia handled everything. SUPER PLUS!!! All our bouquets were beautiful throughout the entire night. She was also responsive, which every bride probably wants. Thank you!!!

Virginia is PHENOMENAL. Our wedding would not have been so well put together without her. Here’s why: Virginia is (1) patient; (2) has a keen eye; and (3) has the bride’s best interest in mind.
1) Patient — Virginia did not complain and re-​did our quote every time we decided to make changes to our decorations. We must have changed our package over a hand full of times (i.e. adding/​removing chair covers, and ridding of a candy bar). Not only that, my parents on their own accord went to Virginia to bicker about how to redecorate our wedding to their own personal taste.
2) Keen eye — Virginia has the «je né sais quoi» for details and colors. She spent a decent amount of time helping me match my ribbons and flowers colors. She even coordinated my cake flowers with my cake cutting dress. Every petal was placed perfectly all over our venues.
3) Bride’s best interest — Against Virginia’s own interest, she gave us many money saving tips. What kind of wedding planner would do that?! She told us to use bubble guns in lieu of flowers for the flower girls, and even let us borrow (i.e. gratis) extra chair stashes for the ceremony. I would list more of her expertise here, but I do not want to give away all her trade secrets. ;)
End of day, despite going back and forth, we basically ordered her entire package. I would not have had it any other way. After all, you only get married once! So, let’s do it properly!
P. S. Virginia also did my prom corsage and boutonnière!

Virginia is amazing and so easy to work with! I needed a bouquet for my City Hall Wedding, but our schedule just didn’t match, so we did everything through email. I emailed photos of bouquets that I like and Virginia made some suggestions to personalize it for my wedding. Two weeks later, I got my bouquet and absolutely loved it!

My husband and I searched all around for the perfect wedding florist and we are so happy we came across S & V Collections via Unilocal.Virginia was so easy to work with from the beginning. We had a good idea of what we wanted and Virginia never hesitated to provide guidance, recommendations and suggestions during the planning process. She was willing to work with our schedules, prompt at responding, and very organized.
We had our wedding earlier this month at the De young museum. Our venue had a lot of restrictions, policies, and timing had to be impeccable with the tight window that we had for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in multiple locations in the museum. Virginia showed up timely on the day of our venue walk through asking the right questions, she set up and finished all the floral arrangements during the wedding day perfectly along with provided extras of certain items to ensure fresh flowers for the best photos. We were so happy with the way our flowers turned out for our ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and bridal party arrangements. We showed Virginia photos of what we wanted and she was spot on. I’m really glad that we decided to have Virginia make a sample arrangement during our wedding planning, which helped us visualize and identify items we wanted changed. Virginia was always accommodating, going out of her way to make it less stressful for us, and on our wedding day she stayed until after our ceremony to ensure everything ran smoothly and rented items were taken back properly by herself, so that we didn’t have to worry about it.

Virginia was so easy to work with and she offered a lot of suggestions to unprepared bride like me! Everything from the beautiful bouquets to the head table centerpiece and the backdrops was just amazing. I was so impressed when I walked into the reception. I requested for flowers for my ceremony site, reception center pieces, bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, groom and family boutonnières. Virginia also helped me arrange for chair rentals for my ceremony and dinner reception.

Virginia did all the flowers for my recent wedding and did a fantastic job! From the very beginning she was very responsive to emails and flexible with meeting times. I met with her several times over the course of my engagement. I had a pretty clear vision of what types of bouquets and center pieces I wanted but she had a huge collection of photos to help me finalize my decision. The photos were super helpful because I was able to show her exactly what I wanted. She offered great suggestions and listened to my needs. I added 2 alter pieces last minute and she was able to help me decide on the best design due to the very windy ceremony location.
On my wedding day, she showed up on time and everything was delivered as promised. The bouquets were amazing and matched all the bridesmaid dresses to perfection. The 2 alter pieces were weighted and tied down securely that despite the wind, they did not budge!
Overall, Virginia was amazing to work with. She was never pushy and always seemed to know exactly what I wanted. She worked together with my venue to set everything up and I really didn’t have to worry about anything! Her prices are very reasonable especially for the quality and amount of flowers that were delivered. She has an artistic eye and really knows what she is doing. I received many compliments on my wedding day regarding all my florals!

She had a lot of photos from her previous jobs for me to look through and pull ideas from. I am a pretty laid back bride and wanted things to be as easy and simple as possible. Virginia was the answer! I told her the basic concepts of what I wanted and she help me put everything together. She offered suggestions and advice on what would look nice together and what wouldn’t. She was not pushy at all or tried to add on anything I wouldn’t want or needed.
Most importantly she showed up on time and setup everything as promised.
I didn’t go much shopping around, mainly because I am just plain lazy… but I felt like I got my money worth. Virginia did not leave me feeling ripped off or anything like that.

Virginia is sooo amazing! I owe my awesome wedding floral decorations to her. She went the extra mile and stayed behind to put up pompoms on the tree when it wasn’t even part of her job. Also, she is very attentive and understanding to the needs of very traditional Chinese parents, such as knowing what flowers can and cannot be used, and what floral accessories I would need etc. I didn’t have to worry about a single thing for my venue decorations because she just magically transformed the venue into a beautiful, romantic place. Flowers were fresh; I reused some of them 2 days later and they will looked fresh. Last but not least, Virginia is very flexible and accommodating. I must have changed my mind 10 times from the initial consultation to the last day, but Virginia still made my plans come true exactly how I envisioned it and more.
Prior to consultation– I would advise any bride and groom to pick the color theme and save some pics from Pinterest. That would save you a lot of time.

Virginia was wonderful to work with and far exceeded my expectations.
For the past couple months, I had been working with Virginia on my wedding flowers at the SF City Hall. I had a budget I wanted to keep within but wanted my flowers to look great given we had such a grand venue at SF City Hall. In that respect, Virginia went above and beyond to accommodate us. She changed her proposal several times to help me keep me keep my budget but yet still looked stunning with the venue.
Let me share a story that exemplifies Virginia’s commitment to customer service.
On the day of the wedding I had a scared moment when the groomsmen dropped off the flowers and mentioned that they thought my husband’s flower looked too small. I called Virginia to let her know and without hesitation, hours before the ceremony, she brought me several different boutonierres for the groom to choose from right before the ceremony.
When you hire S&V, that is the dedication and customer service you will receive. Virginia is a professional and extremely helpful. Most importantly, she helped me achieve the beautiful wedding I had always imagined.

Ah the wedding is over and I can finally relax and start writing my wedding reviews!
Virginia was so sweet; she called me a low maintenance bride! Even though my wedding may have been pretty stress free I felt like that wasn’t the case several times. Virginia was very prompt on responding to emails and was flexible with times for delivering my flowers. She took my photos of bouquet ideas I liked and totally was able to make it happen. I’m not one of those brides that had my wedding planned when I was 5 so she really helped me fill in the blanks which was very important to me.
Bonus: She knew what flowers not to get for my Chinese family since I’m so ABC I didn’t know what was acceptable and what wasn’t. haha
