Heather handled our placenta encapsulation and she was wonderful to work with. Her fast reply to questions and all interactions were professional and informative. I especially liked her communication style (i.e. sent her contact info immediately to my phone as well as my husbands after she received payment, so that her information was in my phone months before I gave birth. Also her thoughtful follow up email 2 months after I gave birth to check on me, went the extra mile in my opinion.) I felt she cared about me and my birth experience even though I never met her in person. I would strongly recommend her for your encapsulation service.

Easy to work with and set up in all the chaos of giving birth. i had no mood issues and whether or not it was Placenta pills, I would 100% do it again — no question. Also note, Im much moodier pre pregnancy and pre baby!

Heather was super professional and was able to fit me in with just one week’s notice. I was a bit skeptical about the encapsulation idea, but my friend swore by it so I thought, «why not!» I can honestly say that I experienced ZERO post-​partum mood swings and had amazing energy.

Heather is awesome! I got in touch with her fairly late in my pregnancy and she still managed to fit us in for placental encapsulation. She was very understanding and flexible in picking up/​dropping off the capsules (she came all the way there at the dot of 9pm only for the doctors to say they wouldn’t release the placenta until they determined they didn’t need it… ugh!) She came back again in the morning, completed the capsules and brought them back to the hospital before we were even discharged! WOW did they help! I wasn’t sure about doing it, but figured why not. Placental encapsulation was highly recommended by my TCM friend, especially since I was almost 41. I am confident it made a huge difference based on a time when I changed my dosage… eek… postpartum is a dark place! But 2 capsules 3x day kept me sane, literally! I now recommend it to every pregnant woman that I know, and of course recommend Heather for it!

We had a great experience with Heather’s Placenta Encapsulation service. She was quick in communication via email and text. After our baby was born, she came within 30 mins to pick up placenta from the hospital. Capsules were ready very next day, she dropped them off at the hospital that we are staying. Highly recommend!

Heather Charmatz was super fast and efficient encapsulating my placenta. She gave us beautiful placenta prints we will frame and cherish. I was in the hospital less than 48 hrs and she had my pills ready before I was discharged. She answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable about all things baby. Heather encapsulated my placenta after my birth in April. She came to our house (we had a homebirth) the morning I gave birth, and she delivered the bottle of capsules within 24 hours. She was great to work with, communicated quickly via text to arrange pick-​up of the placenta and delivery of the capsules, and she even offered to email me photos of my placenta that she had taken prior encapsulating it. Heather is a warm and caring soul who provides excellent care for her clients! I requested placenta encapsulation services from her only a couple weeks before my due date, and she was able to accommodate me. I delivered at CPMC in SF. She picked up my placenta shortly after the birth (during waking hours) and returned the next morning with the completed pills!!! I was so impressed at the turnaround. The pills were exactly what I needed. Before my delivery, I was suffering from borderline anemia, anxiety, and spikes in my blood pressure. Postpartum recovery is without a doubt aided by consumption of your placenta. My mood stabilized after a few days and my body recovered very quickly. Heather encapsulated my placenta last month. She provided clear instructions, was available the day I finally delivered and returned with the pills the next day. She provides this service in a professional yet caring manner. In my opinion the pills were a helpful part of my recovery.

I used Heathers services for placenta encapsulation after she was referred by my birth prep teacher. Heather was flexible in picking up the placenta from my doula when the hospital told us we had to take it out right away. I don’t have anything to compare it to, but my recovery was quick, I never felt any pp depression and I had good energy soon after the birth of my son. I wouldn’t even think twice about having my placenta encapsulated again. I definitely recommend using Heather as well!

I couldn’t recommend Heather enough! This was our second birth, and our second experience with a doula. And I couldn’t be more happy with the experience. When I first met Heather and her co-​doula Joy, I instantly felt like they were going to provide the best support for my birth! Heather is not only an experienced and knowledgable doula, she is an amazing person. She is friendly, positive, caring, intelligent, a total sweetheart — everything you would want when you are giving birth. And she is a total advocate for what you want for your birth. Heather and Joy were always very responsive and quick to answer any questions I had throughout my time working with them. I loved their Comfort Measures class, it was immensely helpful, as well as the binder that they give their clients which has TONS of resources and information for pregnancy/​birth/​postpartum/​newborn care and beyond. They were extremely organized and thorough!
The minute Heather got to our birth, she was completely present and devoted to us. She was always supporting the three of us, and brought such a gentle, peaceful and positive energy to the room. She employed comfort measures that were so helpful, as well as words of encouragement and strength. My family is so thankful for her! Everything she did and said was what I needed in that moment. And I believe she had a big influence on my husband being as confident, supportive, present, loving, and assuring as he was during the birth.
Heather also delivered our placenta to Joy after leaving our birth, which was such a help!
We love Heather & think every pregnant mama needs her in her life! If we ever have a third, we are hoping she would be a part of our birth again!

My wife and I just recently had our first child and hired Heather to process and encapsulate the placenta… She was highly recommended by our Doula and took care of everything for us.
The entire process, from hand-​off to retrieval, took less than two days. She sent me updates with photos of the placenta which are both amazing and quite gruesome… A must have for grossing out friends and family.
The best part was that my wife was able to start taking the pills within a day and half of giving birth. Heather shot me a text when she had finished, asked which hospital we were at and what time would be a good time to drop them off… It doesn’t get any easier than that.

It’s a bit hard to put into words how much getting to work with Heather both before and after the birth of my baby has come to mean to me. She is warm, incredibly informed, heart-​centered, and trustworthy. My husband and I originally connected with Heather when I was a few months pregnant and we were getting clear that we were hoping to work with a doula. Not knowing really anything coming in, we began having initial meetings with a number of doulas and Heather stood out to us immediately.
The information that she and her co-​doula provided allowed us to become informed in light of all of the decisions available to us. It was clear, well-​organized and comprehensive. Not only that, Heather made us feel important, secure in the process, and provided so many resources beyond the information available in her materials.
It’s hard not to consider Heather like family after having had her present at my baby’s birth. It is a bond and a connection that I didn’t expect. She was present, flexible in providing what was needed, and worked so comfortably with my husband and mother. She is a truly wonderful person and I HIGHLY recommend working with her.

As with all pregnancies, there are things you don’t expect to happen. We felt entirely comfortable reaching out to her to give her the updates. She was extremely fast to respond with 1) great information and 2) references for further support, research work/​publications etc. +1 for Heather
Due to circumstances, we have a lot of time to labor at home, so we met Heather at the hospital, she actually made it there much quicker than we did and I’m pretty sure I was speeding to the hospital. +1 for Heather
