History

Established in 2013.

Started by Jeremy Borkat in 2013 to solidify his desire to pursue a sole proprietorship of guitar related assistance. After 5 years working for a small San Francisco Guitar company, it was time to venture out into the waters of business ownership. It’s been great to work with people around the city to make sure there’s nothing between them and musical expression.

My name is Jeremy, I started SFGT. I wanted to work one on one with instrument owners in the city, either teaching them to play or making sure they had something to play that they enjoyed. I’ve played guitar for over 15 years, repaired and worked for 10, and been a part of the musical instrument industry for 5 years.
