Silver Gas & Diesel

My wife is a waitress, so she always has cash. She never uses her debit card unless it is to fill up the gas tank. Yesterday morning (5:30am — Jan 30) we stopped at Silver Gas & Diesel on the corner of Silver & San Bruno. I know the place looks shady, but it’s cheaper than the Shell next door. The pump would not accept my wife’s card, so she had to hand it through the window to the man behind the counter. Today I check my bank account and we have 5 unrecognized charges. The debit card has not been used anywhere other than this gas station in two weeks. This leads me to believe that it was compromised in the process of making this purchase. I mentioned this to our neighbors and 2 of my neighbors claimed to have fraudulent charges on their cards after using the gas station as well. BE WARNED!

c’mon guys, it’s 2011. mind your own business and no one will have a reason to fuck with you. white people are just as capable of violent/​illegal acts as these «gangsters» you speak of.

love this place. gas is pretty reasonably priced, guys that work inside are pretty cool, hit on anything with a vagina, but it’s all in good fun.
yay for the liquor store next door, and pizza place open til 2am next to this place! woo hoo.1 stop-​shop after a night of partying… or before…

I don’t get gas here but I always buy swishers here.
I look really young, so I always get questioned and receive unnecessary comments about me buying swishers. but the worker here has been great! He’s so nice! Every time I go there, we’re always having small talk and laughing. Everytime my boyf goes in there, he says that he’s really nice as well. He’s somebody we’d probably hang out with! Lol.
YES for not giving me attitude or asking me questions about my life.

It’s not THAT bad, everyone. Maybe I’m biased because Portola is my ‘hood’ but its nothing to be afraid of. I’m not saying I’d gas up here at night, but it’s across the street from the 44 and 9 Muni stops, so there are always people around.
On to price… this place is obviously about 10 cents cheaper than the Shell across the street, but often times the 76 on Bayshore has the same price.

I live nearby and buy gas here all the time. It’s cheap, which is why I go, and the people who work inside are pretty nice. Nothing bad has happened to me. That said, I don’t go late at night, and sometimes a pump or two is broken.

this place seems to be open nearly 24 hours a day. many people hanging around. sometimes difficult to manuever in to buy gas.

This is where the gangstas buy their gas. Don’t be caught here or you’ll be caught dead!
Seriously, sketchy doesn’t even begin to describe this place. Their are always some shady characters buying gas in this place or just hanging out in from of White Palace liquors next door. Just make sure your uzi is nearby.

This is the second-​cheapest gas in the immediate area. It’s probably even sketchier than the Silver Arco, but there’s some good people watching! Just gas and go…
