Spirit Halloween’s 2015 Pop Up store is located inside the AMC Theater Lobby at 1000 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94 109. Just across from the old abandoned KRON Studio.
Spirit stores pop up for about 60 days before Halloween each year then close. Their locations vary depending on what seasonal retail space they can find.
It is important to note that unlike prior years Spirit only has one small store in SF this year and it only sells costumes not the wider assortment of party and home decorations they sold in the past. I was told by a staffer if your need home and party decorations go to their Serramonte Store in Daly city instead. There are also stores in Sausalito and Emeryville…
The store is small but was filled with shoppers leaving the theater so they should do OK. Overall I’m disappointed in Spirit’s lacking commitment to San Francisco which is a major Halloween Party city.
I was told by a staffer the reason for the small store was the expensive retail space cost in SF so apparently the days of multiple Spirit Halloween stores in SF are gone. Please note the prior Halloween location for 2014 on Church street is not open this year — Van Ness is the only SF location this year and is again only for costumes…
