It’s ok

I used to live in the Richmond district about 10 years ago so I frequented this location due to the proximity and the AWESOME lady who did AMAZING alterations, she was a sweetheart. Then I come to find that there has been a change in ownership and the past owner has fallen ill. I hope she is doing well, I’ve heard otherwise (sad sad face). Well, I had to write about this place because of the pros and cons, pros being that they now accept credit cards and the new alteration lady isn’t too shabby with the quality of work.
Now the cons would be that she makes you pay for these alterations ahead of time prior to picking up and examining the quality of work.
Let me ask you, is this legal? Then, the cost of alterations are not consistent and the woman will charge you on the quality of the item rather then just the work. Not stellar work, just work. Therefore, the time and energy to take my things are a miss especially since I live in SSF. Frequenting a familiar location, regardless of the distance, isn’t the case for this place, I will do research and find another place, NEXT.

While this place has done a decent job with my dry cleaning, they don’t keep their hours. This is the second and last time I will wait outside for my dry cleaning. I was supposed to pick up my things at 8am. It’s been an hour and a half already and there is no answering machine for this place. Extremely frusturating. I will never return here again.

Great place to get wash/​dry/​fold laundry done. 75 cents per pound – great deal, especially for the city. One down side is that they only take cash unless you spend $ 20 or more (which, sadly isn’t that big of a problem if you procrastinate with laundry like I do). Alteration price was also reasonable – after talking them down. They originally wanted $ 12 to alter a pair of basic slacks, but then offered to do it for $ 10 when I said I thought $ 12 was kind of steep. I thought that was nice of them :)

I must say, this place is the shiznit when it comes to tailoring your designer denim pants for a really cheap and fast service! When I bought my first pair of Sevens, I took them here to get them shortened because I have short Asian legs and they finished it lightning fast! Did you read that? Not just fast… LIGHTNING FAST! Not sure about their dry cleaning service, but if you need a precious piece of clothing tailored without worry you definitely should try Spring Cleaners!
