I had never found a form of exercise I genuinely enjoyed until taking a pilates class with Kari. I’ve been taking classes from her off and on for maybe four years now, and love working with her!

I started working with Karii a short time after my original pilates instructor of 4 years went back to school. Not knowing exactly what to expect, I signed up for the introductory series of classes which was quite affordable. There was no hesitation once my original series expired to become a regular client. I continue to focus on my core strength and flexibility to help with my golf game (it needs it).
The space itself works well for solo workouts, but also has enough equipment for duets. No distractions from other clients or other instructors invading your space.

I started with Pilates at the behest of my physical therapist… yes, I’ll admit it as I didn’t think I’d like Pilates… but I’ve been seeing Karii weekly for more than a year now and I have zero regrets. In fact, I’ll even admit it’s likely one of the best things I’m doing for my body and I likely wouldn’t be able to say that if it weren’t for Karii’s humor and patience and experienced instructions.
I’ve learned about form and built a great deal of strength in my core. Not only am I no longer having back problems when I run (the reason I was with a physical therapist to start with, but I’m also strong enough now that I just finished the trip of a lifetime with my dad: backpacking in the wilderness for several days while carrying all my worldly goods on my back.
Karii keeps me motivated and keeps the workouts interesting. Her studio is bright and clean and has everything you need for a good intense workout. Or an easier one on days when I’m in recovery from the aforementioned trip. She’s taught me how to increase my flexibility and make stretching/​rolling out part of my regular routine in a way that I actually Want to do it!
My other-​half is starting to join me now in my weekly sessions and she does a fabulous job of keeping me on track with my workout, while teaching him the basics and working with him on some trouble spots of his own.
If you’re looking to get started in Pilates, Karii’s instruction and one on one sessions are the way to go. She’ll make it easy for you to learn the right form and allow you to focus on building strength. If you’re more experienced in Pilates, her attention to the details around form and new moves will keep you working hard without injury and coming back for more. I am certainly hooked and am so glad to see Karii flourishing in her new studio!

I’ve been working with Karii for almost a year now. She has not only helped me lose the weight I gained during pregnancy, but also build strength and flexibility. Karii is a classically trained dancer and really knows how to make a workout varied and interesting. She is easy to talk to, easy to work with, and very generous with her time. I’ve never run across another instructor more accommodating of reasonable last minute schedule changes and baby emergencies. Ive brought my baby to our private sessions, and he’s really enjoyed hanging out with Karii.
The studio space is cozy, bright and sunny — and safe to let a toddler loose in. The equipment is new and excellent, and the instructor fun and effective.

I was a long distance runner in serious need of some strength, balance and flexibility when I was lucky enough to find Karii. She creatively used her expertise to key into my body’s specific needs. Although classically trained, I feel like Karii understands the importance and differences between each of her clients and cleverly crafts each work out accordingly. After working with karii for almost a year, my body is stronger than ever and I’ve increased my running mileage to what it was a decade ago. My recovery is quick and I’m injury free for the first time in years! I owe all of this to Karii.

Karii is a wonderful pilates instructor. She is very knowledgeable and provides great instruction and always introduces new moves that keep it interesting while keeping you motivated. I took privates from Karii all through my pregnancy and now post-​partum and she not only helped keep my in shape while pregnant (as much as you can during this time) but is also helping to tone me back up. Plus, you can bring your infant to her studio and she is not only a fantastic instructor but also a baby whisperer.
