Masters at our craft with extensive training in precision cutting and coloring. Each stylist has worked and trained at Vidal Sassoon in San Francisco and around the world, perfecting their skills.

We are not only educators and mentors to other stylists, but also to our clients. The main focus of Tailored is creating a look that is tailored to suit each individual, taking these features into account: style, face shape, hair texture, product knowledge, and maintenance.

Tailored is an eco-​friendly salon, conscientious of the environment we live and work in. The product lines we carry are Kevin Murphy, Davines, and No. 4, which are paraben, sulfate, and animal cruelty free.

Every few months, Tailored will feature local artists and their artwork. With each new installation, the salon’s space will be inspired and refreshed with a new set of colors and materials.

History

Established in 2013.

Our team at Tailored is unique. We are a group of innovators who believe each haircut and color is a work of art. You can easily see our special eye for creativity and individuality in our work, however, we all have a strong foundation in classic shapes, and above all, precision oriented cuts and color. Our team has trained and worked for Vidal Sassoon Salons all over the world as educators and creative directors, allowing our stylists and colorists time to achieve mastery in their craft. Now that we have all come together to start Tailored, we are happy to have the opportunity to be conscientious of the environment we live and work in by being an eco-​friendly salon, from our products and cork flooring down to the water we serve.

Meet the Business Owner

Nicole B.

Business Owner

Nicole Brown was born and raised in Michigan. She moved to Los Angeles and attended The Vidal Sassoon Academy, a passion for hair design was realized. Ambition and rigorous training took Nicole from California to Chicago and back again, eventually resulting in her turn as Assistant Creative Director of San Francisco’s Vidal Sassoon Salon.

Her credence for perfection has led her to instruct advanced creative cutting classes in London, Japan, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Nicole believes that the key to craft mastery is continued education and staying inspired. She finds inspiration from architecture, modern design, and painters.

After leaving the mother-​ship, Nicole realized that she wanted to add to her repertoire and become an entrepreneur and co-​owned Oso & Miggs Salon for 3 years. After getting her feet wet she created Tailored Salon «a creative family and community».
