History

Established in 2001.

Originally from The Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, Traci Hollander can technically be considered an East Coaster. But while she treasures her trips back home to visit her family and enjoy the world’s best crab cakes, she’s been in love with San Francisco ever since her first cross-​country trip.

After officially moving to San Francisco, Traci received her BA in Business from Golden Gate University. She’s been representing State Farm Insurance since 1986 and has been a State Farm agent since 2001. Whether she’s discussing limits of liability for a car insurance policy, terms for life insurance, or options for investments, she thrives on educating her clients to make the best decisions possible.

Outside of her Castro Street office, Traci enjoys networking throughout the Bay Area and is an active member of both BNI and Merchants of Upper Market & Castro. She has also become the most recent sponsor of the Golden Gate Business Association.

I was in your Castro office about 2 months or so ago to be insured with a Life Policy and I was helped by Adriana Delao, I am not very big on the customer service aspect of many companies (Do not like really dealing with salespeople ect…). With that being said I was pleasantly surprised with Adriana’s demeanor, helpfulness, and friendly attitude, it is not often that you come across people that are so knowledgeable and helpful with any and all questions that you have about products and services. I was very happy with my visit and would definitely recommend this office to friends and family. Whenever I have had a question, my emails or calls have been returned very quickly by her staff and if the question involves some research, they are answered by the following day. Priscilla Aplling was the customer service rep that most recently handled my inquires and like all who are employed there, handled it professionally and immediately.

After becoming frustrated with my former insurance agent I decided to really do my homework and contacted three different insurance brokers, all referred by trusted friends. My initial contact at Traci Hollander’s office was with Beau Harshman, who was highly professional and capable. Beau provided initial quotes that were competitive and well-​presented. I subsequently met with him and Traci, and they worked together very efficiently to help me take care of all my insurance needs. Man it feels good to be insured! My husband and I now officially have renter’s insurance and I don’t know why we put it off for so long. Well, we thought it would be complicated and expensive and it was neither of the two. Renting in SF and reading about fires in SF apartment buildings SO frequently finally got me thinking that I need to make an effort and at least look into it. A fire or burglary would devastate us financially.
I was intimidated to call and get more information, and how silly I felt when the representative Beau Harshman made me feel so at ease and broke it all down in terms I could totally understand. I really felt like I could ask anything, that there were truly no stupid questions. And it’s soooo affordable, there is no reason NOT to have renter’s insurance if you’re a renter. Especially in the Bay Area! Beau’s helping me look into other policies now too, like life insurance and such. I feel like a proper adult now, haha! Adulting feels great, thanks Beau!

I had my home and auto policies at different companies and dealt mostly with them online. I found I really disliked only having online or phone as my options. So I decided I would go local when I consolidated my policies.
Traci Hollander was my choice. She’s been part of the community for many years now and was always spoken of highly when insurance came up (which is surprisingly often once you get over 40).
I worked with Beau, who was professional and on top of every question or issue I had. I was able to get everything easily consolidated, improve my coverage, and have that personal, in-​person interaction I wanted. It was fantastic! Highly recommended!

Can’t say enough about this team and the way my impression of the insurance claims process has changed as a result! Was at dinner with a friend last week only to come back to a shattered back window and a variety of personal property stolen with no perpetrator in sight. I filed the StateFarm claim that next morning, and within 30 min. of submitting had two employees reach out to document all the info from the incident, as well as teach me everything I needed about how I am covered, how reimbursement works, and everything in between.
Whether via phone or email, I was able to get in touch with the team (yes a person, not an automated reply) at all hours of the day, and as someone who works in client service I can’t stress how immensely important this aspect was to my overall experience. Less than a week later, I have received a fair reimbursement amount, as well as (and more importantly to me) a thoughtful and detailed explanation of line by line how they calculated my disbursement amount.
While I hope to never have to call them again (except to renew my policy!) I know that I can count on Traci & Co. to make the process as seamless as possible.
