Steve was awesome! He is hilarious, works fast and efficiently to give a great end result.

Because of my f***ed up genome I grow hair everywhere including my back (thanks stupid ancestors) and it has always been an issue for me until very recently when I made an appointment with Dave in waxing for men. He is a miracle worker when it comes to waxing men. He waxed my back, upper arms and ears in like half hour and the pain was considerably lower than what I experienced in other places. This place is clean and the staff are very friendly. Dave made me feel very welcome and did not make a big deal at all about my hairy back (which is not what you get in other places). I will definitely visit this place again since it is also reasonably priced.

Waxing had never been a pleasurable experience for me until I met Gabe at waxing for men. His experience, professionalism and knowledge about skin have changed my opinion about waxing. I recommend everybody to try a session with Gabe. Thank you so much Gabe.

I just recently had the pleasure of having my full body wax by David! Can I say– AMAZING! I was greeted by David who is most pleasant, professional and highly proficient! He did an incredible job and in a very timely manner. I loved the whole experience! David you have a regular client!

I came here for a waxing session — I guess you can call it that. These guys are VERY PROFESSIONAL considering the nature of business. Reasonably priced too. Nothing over the top. As their website mentions, when you combine waxing services, the more discounts you receive.
Centrally located. Parking is always tricky in SF but there are few nearby reasonably priced parking garages.
I would def recommend this to my hairy friends and family members.

David at Waxing 4 Men made a possible awkward situation, comfortable. I went back a second time, had David provide the service again, and the experience was even better. I would highly recommend this place, if you are new to waxing, like I was, or are looking for a place with great service and an even better staff.

After almost a year of contemplating, I finally decided to get my back waxed this past weekend. There are many estheticians that specialize in men’s waxing and, after reading Unilocal reviews, decided to go to Waxing 4 men. The office is conveniently located in close proximity to Powell St. BART station, accepted same day appointments, and very clean. I arrived 5 minutes early and there was no line. I had a brief consultation with Steve before we began. We discussed my needs and my anxiety then went to work. I will admit that the process was a bit painful at first, but Steve did a great job of engaging me so that my attention was focused elsewhere most of the time. You can tell that he is quite experienced and that he really likes his job, which is quite refreshing. The whole process (back + shoulders) only took 20 minutes. When he was done, he reminded me of aftercare instructions and gave me has business card with his personal cell phone number and encouraged me to call him in the event that I had any questions or an adverse reaction to the process. I’m definitely planning to go back in 6 weeks to get my back waxing and may explore waxing other things, too, as I get more comfortable. I’d recommend this place and Steve to anyone that is thinking about getting waxed. It’s a little pricier, but worth it.

This is a nice place, conveniently located, yet discreet to allow for a little extra privacy. It wasn’t the first time I had ever been waxed, but my experience with Gabe was completely different than the others in all the right ways! He is a friendly, funny guy with a nice smile that instantly puts your nerves to rest. What really set Gabe a part from the others was how fast, swift, and relatively painless it was compared to my previous experiences! Skill and attention to detail make all the difference in the waxing world when it comes to having a less painful experience, and this guy certainly knows his stuff! Definitely the best option I know of for all things «manscaping» in the SF Bay Area.

I’m bro-​ing so hard with my brozilian! The Unilocal deal caught my eye and I decided to do my first brazilian wax. The place is clean and welcoming. But since it was my first time I felt apprehensive and I didn’t know what to expect. David quickly made me feel comfortable. He guided me throughout the process, was professional, personable, and funny. It hurt like a mother but the pain only lasted for a second.
David accommodated my last minute request to have my legs done as well. I’m very pleased with the results. He really knows his stuff. I will be coming back!

This was my first time at waxing 4 men. I’ve gotten wax before but only my eyebrows and what not. This time I decided to do legs and buttock. I called and made an appointment as soon I arrived I was greeted right away. David was amazing! He was very helpful and funny. He made the experience less painful and kept my mind off of the pain with his stories and personality. If you’re worried about your first time visit David he’ll make the time and process go by quickly. My next wax I will definitely be visiting David.

So let me start off with saying this is my first wax and Gabriel was very professional and he guide me through, ease of mind. I had gone there an hour early before my appointment schedule which turned out to be a blessing because he told me since its my first time I should take some Tylenol which I went ahead and did and it blunted a lot of the pain. For those of you getting there wax for the first time his a piece of advice the first wax strip pull will be the most painful after that it won’t be as bad as the first one but there are sometimes when you’re like oh yeah that one hurt

After months of completing about getting a male brazilian wax, I finally mustarded enough courage to make an appointment with Steve at Waxing For Men.
Although I was a nervous wreck when I initially walk in the salon, Steve greeted me immediately. He was professional and very friendly. Steve sat me down and thoroughly explained the process and procedure involved in a male brazilian wax, which very much help to calm me down quickly. Steve explained what he was during before and during each step of the procedure. After the waxing was completed, Steve directed me to mirror to review his work and to check for any stray hairs!
I was truly very satisfied with the results!
For my post-​care, Steve strongly advised me to keep my private area clean and dry, and recommended an after-​treatment rubbing alcohol solution from his salon.
No more, nicks or cuts from my DIY. I immediately scheduled next appointment at Waxing For Men. Check it out guys, you’ll be glad you did.

I was looking for a professional place for waxing for men. It was hard to find one in the city. I went there for the first time today. Staffs were professional, clean, and very ethusiastic about their work. I would definitly recomend this place.

The wax itself was okay; it hurt A LOT (but this was my first wax so take that with a grain of salt). I only got it because I had the Unilocal deal and decided I might as well try a «brozilian».
I walked to the studio and arrived about 8 minutes early for my 11:45 AM appointment; when I reached the lobby, there was no one there to check me in and I ended up sitting there for 30 minutes before I saw an employee. That was ridiculous. Despite having an 11:45 AM appointment, my wax didn’t even start until 12:30, which was unbelievable. They made limited and insincere «apologies» for the delay, and never thought to make amends for it («sorry we’re busy» does NOT constitute an acceptable response for a 45 minute delay to a SET appointment).
Wax was fine. It was painful, but Gabriel was good throughout the process. I didn’t appreciate being called «dramatic» considering it was my first time having hair ripped from my skin using wax, though.
4 stars for the wax but 1 star for the customer service. They wasted my time and hardly attempted to make it up to me. Treat your customers with respect, Waxing 4 Men! Unless you happen to offer another Unilocal deal or every other studio is shut down, I think it’s safe to say I’ll be finding a different waxing place to go to. Yikes.

I came here with a friend who had an appointment set up to get some work done. Upon arriving here, I had a nice conversation with Kelly, who was more than friendly and a great guy to talk to. I got a little introduction to the procedure and how it was going to be done before I left the room and waited outside. Overall, the interior looked clean and the mood was nice, quiet and comforting. I took a look around their website and it is very simple to navigate. I haven’t set up my appointment yet, but it seems easy enough to do. My only dilemma now is when will I set up my appointment for something to be done. Oh, and I gave Waxing 4 Men a «3» star review only because I haven’t had services done on myself personally yet so I won’t say they are good nor bad, but just OK.

Sure, I’ll review this place. I don’t care if my family or friends know that I’ve gotten a male Brazilian wax. I have no shame and Steve was great. Very professional, and I felt very safe and comfortable in the room. He has years of experience and I’m glad to hear that he has expanded and hired more staff. I have visited him at least 3 times and each time was a great experience. This location is conveniently located in the heart of Union Square, easy transportation and walking distance from Bart. His schedule is very accommodating. Sometimes he’ll have a Unilocal deal. I wouldn’t go anywhere else to get waxed.
