Zumba Fitness With Rossy

Rossy is a fantastic leader and very generous with her time and abilities. I would recommend her classes to anyone who is interested in Zumba. It really is a party!

Rossy’s zumba class is the best workout you can get out there and for an affordable price. I love going to her class, its fun! and she has the latest latin songs and great choreography. I’ve lost almost all the baby weight i gained after being pregnant (38 pounds) taking her class three times a week. I will always be so thankful to Rossy and her coinstructor Suzzy for their support and encouragement. I love these girls!

Love love love Rossy’s Zumba. Almost three years ago I stepped into Zumba, not knowing what I was in for– or if I could even get through a class. Now I have Rossy and her classes to thank for being 50lbs lighter, happier and much less stressed.
Best Zumba class in SF-​hands down! She welcomes new people with open arms, and knows all her students personally. Great songs, great music, great dancing! Give her class a try and you won’t be able to stop.
Try Suzy’s class on Thursdays too, for extra Latin flair and fun!

I fell in love with Zumba while on a recent vacation and came back to SF in search of a fun, energetic class. Rossy (and co-​teachers Suzzy and Nicolette) fit the bill! I take classes at both Harvey Milk Rec Center and Mobu Dance Studio and enjoy them all (though my preference is for Harvey Milk — there’s just more room to dance there). The classes are energetic, motivating and affordable. I’ve never looked forward to working out the way I look forward to Rossy’s Zumba classes!

I love dancing Zumba with Rossy. The workout is really intense, the dancing is fun. Rossy and Nicolette & Suzzy are all energetic and fun people and I really look forward to going to class. Even my 10 year old daughter (who doesn’t like anything these days) likes Zumba class, so they’re doing something right!
If you’re new to Zumba, you can expect to have 2 left feet for a while, but there’s no shame in it — just dance and laugh at yourself. Once you get the hang of it, it’s just as intense a workout as cardio-​kickboxing or spinning or other high-​intensity cardio classes.
Rossy is a great person, and I truly enjoy seeing her dance. She gives us all something to aspire to. Saturdays at Harvey Milk Rec. Center are big classes, but that just adds to the energy. It’s always fun. Monday and Wed. mornings are quieter and smaller classes — and the times are perfect if you have kids in school. Check her out — she’s great!
Bring your older kids (8 and up) — especially if they like to dance.

I have to honestly add that the young ladies who have been teaching parts of Rossy’s class are nowhere near being at the level of being her replacement /​subs.

I love my Zumba class. Rossy is a great instructor, she is so full of energy and a great dancer. She makes exercise look fun. Taking this class is a great way to start your day.

Rossy is the best Zumba instructor that I’ve ever seen before. She has a lot of energy and always bring it to her classes. I’m going three times per week and I would love to go more days if I would have time.
Her classes are always fun and she has many songs that she alternates in every class so it is never boring. Tons of energy and exercise is what you get in Rossy’s classes. It is a great way to exercise having fun. A lot of shaking and movement. I’m really glad I found her.

This is a fun class, with good music, and Rossy is an energetic teacher. If you do a lot of zumba, though, I think this class does fall into the category of «too easy». It’s still a workout, but I did have the feeling that I was only going about half-​speed.

Sadly, my schedule has changed so I am not able to attend «Zumba with Stef» more regularly. Now, I am on the hunt for a new instructor that can fit my new schedule. Enter Rossy…
If you read my review on «Zumba with Stef» you know my style, and if not, I have been dancing since 7 yrs of age, pick up choreography relatively quickly, and need someone with a high energy level, fast pace class. Fortunately or unfortunately, Rossy’s class itself is not high energy. I attended the Sunday class at Mobu Dance Studio. The class, I can quickly sum up by saying it is a class great for those who need low impact, new to Zumba/​beginner, and those who are choreography challenged/don’t pick up quickly. She had 2 songs which I have done in other classes and the choreography was half time/​slower tempo.
For myself it was a hour worth of warm up… although, while I was looking around throughtout the class there were those who were rehydrating, wiping themselves with a towel, dripping sweat, etc. I still had tons of energy, so I ended up taking the Zumba class that immediately followed her’s.
Rossy herself has great energy and very positive & upbeat. If you are looking for a slower tempo, yet still full of energy class this is the class for you!

I LOVE ROSSY. And I miss her majorly when I have to skip more than 1 class in a row. I’d never been able to stick with the same workout routine for longer than a month at a time, but I’ve been zumba’ing for over a year now. It’s pretty amazing how much energy Rossy has, and she gets everyone jumping around working their ass off with a smile on their face. She kicks my butt every time until I’m dripping in sweat, and I’m seriously terrified returning to class after missing a couple because I’m afraid I might die. In a good way. Also, I’m glad she’s incorporated a lot more hip hop into her routine. Best part is, it’s an hour where you can dance your tail off and forget about life for a while.

I have been taking classes with Rossy for the last year. Last week I had my annual physical and my Dr said that my blood pressure is down from a year ago. No blood pressure medicine for me. I attribute all of this to Zumba and Rossy. She give you a good workout that is fun, but challenging. Her Saturday class is a testament to her star-​power. What a group! Thanks Rossy.

Rossy is amazing and really does make exercise fun. I am pretty useless at keeping in time with her moves but this does not matter as long as you are having fun and moving.
Really hope the classes continue at Harvey Milk.

Zumba with Rossy is THE BEST I have ever taken! I have tried several other instructors and they are not a good/​fun as Rossy. She is so cool and fun as an instructor and makes you feel really comfortable even if you don’t know or do all the moves.
I am a person who is not fond of working out but since I found Rossy I am so excited to go to her class every week. The class is a big work out. You sweat a LOT so bring lots of water.
I do not agree with her being an instructor just for beginners. I don’t think she could make the class harder being a Zumba class and having people who come to exercise in a fun way. If you want something more advanced than Rossy’s Zumba then take dance classes, not Zumba. There are always beginners coming to the class so I feel Rossy should keep the pace she has up to now to please everyone.

Rossy has a very pleasant, charming, and cute personality. Her workouts make you break a sweat, but I feel like they’re more suitable for beginners, which was great for me because she was the 1^st class I’ve taken. After a few months, however, I’ve taken classes with other instructors with more advance/​quicker choreography. That’s not to say her class isn’t still fun, though; it’s just that for a really good workout, I’d go somewhere else.

This is by far the best zumba class I ever took! I love Rossy. She is a fireball of energy. I lost my punch card and she gave me another one and did not question how many times I been there. Tonight, we had a live bongo player beating to the beats of the music. It was like a live show and the class were the dance performers. The best part of the class was that I sweated alot and had a blast doing it. Can’t wait for next week. It’s so much fun!

I wish you could give 10 stars! She is that fantastic. I live in the east bay, but my daughter has some activities in San Francisco over the weekend. To kill time, I decided to take a zumba class; i came upon all the good reviews about Rossy. I took her Saturday class at the Harvey Milk Rec Center and I absolutely loved it so much, I drove back on Sunday to take her class at the Mobu Dance Studio on Church St.
Be prepared to shake your booty and sweat!!! Rossy is full of energy and a fantastic instructor! I will definitely drive back on the weekends just to take her classes!!!

Come prepared! You need a sweat rag and TONS of water!
Rossy is this small girl with a HUGE personality! Her class is an hour of booty bopping, hip swinging, chest pumping fun!
There are parts of my body I worked that I didn’t even know that I had, and I left dripping sweat, but with a huge smile on my face, and feeling better about myself!
I highly recommend you try a class with her! You’ll be addicted from the get go!

June last year my sister decided to celebrate her bday by throwing a zumba party for 12 of us. I lost my zumba virginity on that day… boy did I enjoy it :). Rossy can make you shake parts of your body that you never knew could move on their own. I talked so much about her at work that we decided to hire her to give us 1 zumba class per week. I wish the staff was as motivated about work as they are about going to the zumba class, but oh well, that is a different issue. Rossy will call out your name and shake her butt right next to you to make sure you are getting the full work out, she will also tell you to do your best and to rest if you feel you have to until your body gets used to the workout. She is a great human being and a great zumba teacher. You should check her out!

Rossy may be teeny tiny but her energy and presence is that of a GIANT! She is super easy to follow, always smiling and has HOT music and choreo. Definitely check her out at one of her many Zumba classes throughout San Francisco!
