This is a good little mom & pop shop that has pretty much everything you need for tools and Simpson’s strong ties and hardware(even tool repair). Their prices are on the high side for tools. The service is hit n miss. They’re very knowledgable on tools and parts, but they also think they’re better than everyone. They act like you should already know the answer to the question you’re asking. They have a buy or get out attitude instead of trying to earn your service or your return for more. The girls are always doing homework or tending to an infant at the register(great environment for a baby huh? Breathing all that dust and fumes). This place. Would be a 4 – 5 star if better service, attitude, and more competitive pricing.

TOOLSTOPCANSUCKIT! A totally rude Asian girl closed the door on our face and glared at us through the cheesy taped window as she locked it. All we needed were two screws!

This is a great little neighborhood tool shop! It used to be run by a sweet Asian couple, but now I really only see their daughters(both of whom are super cute). They’re always so attentive and helpful. Not knowing much about tools, I always have a million questions and they always have the patience to provide detailed answers, explanations and recommendations. I’ve since moved up north, but I’ve yet to find another tool shop that’s provided the same level of customer service. I really think they need to open a Tool Stop up here in SF.
