Allied Drapery has served hundreds of Residential, Multi-​family and Commercial property owners in San Jose — Silicon Valley & San Francisco Bay Area for 75 years. We design and manufacture custom, made-​to-​measure draperies, shutters, blinds, shades and top treatments for all facets of the window coverings marketplace — while maintaining focus on our clients’ delivery and budget needs. Randy P.

Business Owner

CEO & CFO, Randy Peters is responsible for all facets of Allied Drapery’s marketing and financial concerns, including acting trustee of the company’s pension and profit sharing plans.

Randy joined the US Navy in 1962 and did a tour as a medic in Viet Nam. Upon his return to the US, he earned a Business Degree from San Jose State University. In 1978 he purchased controlling interest in Allied Drapery from his father, who had acquired it five years earlier. The Peters Family has been in the textile business for more than three generations, so the transition from father to son was a natural process. Randy now takes great pride as acting President… managing all phases of development, budgeting, and estimation.

Want drapes? THIS IS THE PLACE! (I’m sure they’re great for blinds and other window coverings too). I worked on a kitchen makeover project this year that involved replacing some very old and worn out drapes as well as the rods. I first went to JCPenny’s but couldn’t find anything that looked good in the kitchen, even after going through 4 books of swatches.
After consulting Unilocal,I decided to try Allied Drapery. Randy first visited and we discussed options and took measurements. I then proceeded to check out numerous swatch books (probably over 20) from his store before finding the right pattern for the kitchen. (They have quite a collection of swatch books available and you’re sure to find something you like).
The drapes were made with fine craftsmanship and I’m completely satisfied with the finished result. They even went over and beyond expectations by making some additional alterations at the end of the process to suit the special needs of my situation.
Randy and Monica are both fine people and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended! I know I’ll be going back to them when the next drapery project comes up. Thanks Randy and Monica!

In the end, he didn’t try to sell us on something we didn’t need and he fixed our issues in a timely and professional way. I needed to have the lining replaced (due to sun rot) on vintage drapes from 1924. 3 other businesses would have nothing to do with them. Finally one of them referred me to Allied. I took the drapes to Allied and met with Randy who explained that they needed to be cleaned (for the health and safety of his employees). I told him I was trying to get them cleaned but no dry cleaners would touch them. He examined the drapes and told me to throw them in the washing machine and use the gentle cycle, hang to dry. Worked like a charm! I took them back to Allied and met with Monica who carefully sized up the job, gave me an estimate and committed to a 2-​week turnaround. They were done 3 days early and were beautiful! It wasn’t inexpensive but the quality of the work was outstanding and far cheaper than buying new drapes. In fact, about a week after I paid the balance, they sent me a refund check for $ 155.00 because the amount turned out to be lower than the estimate. High quality work and honest, too! I’m a customer for life.

nice folks, was willing to help me cut my blinds by 5⁄16 of an inch when Lowes wouldn’t. it cost me $ 50 for the cut, a bit pricey, but better than having to order a new set of blinds for $ 150 that Lowes wanted me to do. Thank you Dennis and Allied Drapery!

We have purchased a new home and Allied Drapery Service was recommended by a friend. Customer service is impeccable. Monica provided a supportive, knowledgable assistance, many times going above and beyond. Randy and his assistant installed the
window coverings quickly and attended to every detail of hanging the covering so they look perfect. Prices were reasonable and quality of work was exceptional. I would recommend this company to everyone!!!

This is the place to go. I met with Randy who had me in and out within 20 min. I went in on a Monday, he told me they would be ready Friday, then his office manager Monica called to say they were ready for pickup Thursday.
The price was reasonable, and they fit perfectly.

I went to one place in Campbell and they clearly didn’t want my business. I checked out Allied next, and they were awesome. I had a set of roman shades that needed to be re-​corded. I dropped them off on a Thursday morning and they were ready to be picked up the same day. The pricing was very reasonable, the material they used was high quality and they were truly very professional and pleasant

My blinds were shot and I had the good fortune of going to Allied Drapery Services. Walking in, one get the feeling that this is a store and service center from a kinder, gentler time. And, for sure, it appears to be one with greater integrity than the norm today! Indeed, the customer service was superb. The owner, Randy, kindly fixed my blinds personally and at a very reasonable rate in spite of the fact they were an off brand (i.e., probably not the easiest brand of shades to fix). I asked him how long he’s been in the business and he said, «Since 1979.» He clearly knows blinds well. In addition, their showroom is really beautiful. It is likely that I’ll be needing drapes for one of our rooms soon and my first stop will be at Allied.
