Nothing was memorable here. Not the service and not the sandwiches(They are also Lynda’s Sandwiches). Which is disappointing because I saw Lynda Sandwiches on TV before(Lynda was one of my favorite Vietnamese popstars as a kid) and was so excited to try it… but it was not a sandwich I’d like to have again when I had it here. Oh, but one extra star for the atmosphere. Nice wall décor and all.

This is a warning! Do not eat at this place. The worst customer service ever!!! Order a sandwich with egg(menu: sunny side). and asked for the egg to be a bit running. Sandwich came and it was scrambled. Returned the sandwich and the owner came out and said it was suppose to be like that and tried to make me take the sandwich as is. She then rolled her eyes. Sorry, this place has lost my business, there’s others in the area.

I must start off this review by addressing the bathroom smell that my friend Lisa T. experienced! When I first entered the shop, I noticed a smell but I didn’t really think anything of it. I just figured it was like a fruity bakery-like smell. I went to order my drink and asked for an add on of grass jelly. The cashier seemed to be confused by my request, and told me I couldn’t do that… I was persistent in asking him to make it happen and another cashier stopped by and told him he was wrong and I was right and that it was possible to add the grass jelly… so then she taught him how to do it and problem was solved! *sidenote* They have a rewards program here through FIVESTARS so that was a nice surprise. However, as you will soon find out, I will probably not be back to make use of this frequent buyer program. Soooo I waited for my drink which took a very long time, and while I was waiting, I decided to read the reviews on this establishment. This is when I read Lisa’s comment on the bathroom smell. So I stopped. And I sniffed. And I didn’t really smell the bathroom smell. I was so excited to mention this in the review, but then! It hit me. It wasn’t really a bathroom smell, but rather an extremely fragrant potpourri smell that one would find inside a bathroom. Notes of like vanilla, flowers, and baby powder. It really is weird and off-putting. I finally get my drink and it was way too sweet and had like a fermented banana taste? I’m not sure if that’s what it was supposed to taste like but I didn’t like it! And all the little goodies inside the drink tasted very bland. I was so disappointed =’( Avoid this place! The scene was mostly asian people in their 50’s-70’s… it’s a people’s hang out spot… FORYOURPARENTS!!!

Came here for the first time today for lunch, the line was pretty long! I was really impressed with the décor of the whole place. It wasn’t your typical vietnamese sandwich place with the white tiles and white walls and tables and tables of food and walls covered by refrigerators. This place to me mimics the shops in the venecian or pallazzo in Las Vegas. The ceiling is decorated as if you’re sitting outside. The Weird thing was the seagulls that were painted on the ceilings, they’re painted as if they were about to attack you for your food and that freaks me out a bit o.O. But anyway, I tried the Lynda Special($ 3.95) which basically has Cha Lua, Pâté, Chicken and this other meat that has a red border to it along with your normal veggies(cilantro, cucumber and jalapeño peppers) It was pretty delicious! I especially loved the bread, it was not too crunchy but had a very good flaky consistency to it and tasted very fresh. The sandwiches are about a foot long. The only thing I wished was that they put a little more meat in it for what I was paying for and had more selections of sandwiches because they only offer 6 different kinds of sandwiches. The advertisements say they put a special sauce in each sandwich but I have yet to find that out. I would definitely choose this place over Lee’s Sandwiches.

it;s a bit confusing, outside says lyndas sandwich but on the inside it reads blue sky corner… the décor inside is nice but it kind of has weird smell to it, im not sure what it is. i just had phở next door, so i thought i’d stop by for a palette cleanser. i asked the cashier what she recommended and she said«everything» she wasn’t really helpful. i got something with the fresh young coconut, hat luu and something else. i forgot. it wasnt very memorable. the coconut juice had a thick texture to it almost a little oily. and the hat luu was really hard. on top of that, it left a really bad after taste in my mouth. i only took like 2 bites. what a waste of four bucks. –_– maybe i’ll get a sandwich next time.

I wanted to try this place because I kept here all these great this about Lynda’s Sandwich from my friends in LA especially their beignets. I went into the and was confused because the front of the store say Lynda’s Sandwich but the inside say Blue Sky Corner. I seriously thought I was in the wrong store until I realized it was a 2 in 1 business. I came in after lunch and there was only 1 person ahead of me and after taking that woman order it seemed like the cashier forgot I was standing there. I stood in front of the cashier for awhile until she FINALLY decided to take my orders. I was disappointed that they didn’t have the beignets, the che was ok nothing special, and the sandwiches were not very good. Sorry but I don’t think I will be coming back here.

Had lunch with a dear friend at Phở 90 and she wanted to check this place out because she knew the owner. The moment we stepped we noticed the spectacular artistry of the painted sky ceilings that mimicked Caesar’s Palace in Vegas. There was great attention paid by the detailing right down to the fake birds on the roofline. We tried the Beignet and Thai tea boba here despite my stomach being filled near capacity. I seriously think VN women have 3 stomachs. How can they eat so much and stay so tiny? But I digress… The thai tea tasted like it was made from a powder, but the boba was nice and soft yet not mushy. The beignets were a bit greasy and a tad too hard for something that was fresh out of the fryer. The café integrates Lynda’s Sandwiches here kinda like KFC/Pizza Hut but since it’s only their first week of operation, the sandwich menu isn’t ready yet. The décor is really the draw of this place. It’s the nicest boba/sandwich place I’ve ever been to and seems very clean. Just don’t sit at the corner table that’s marked«reserved» because the lady said they reserve that table for«Family» members.

Stopped by w/my ex-coworker to try out this new place. I ordered Sua Dau Xanh and I thought its not supposed to be mixed w/soy milk. Because I’m allergic to soybeans/soy milk. I can totally tasted the soy milk and barely tasted any dau xanh. Ughhh tasted so freaken bad. Come up w/a new recipe or remind your customers about mixing soy milk w/this drink cuz some ppl might be allergic to it.

I walked by this café after having lunch at Phở 90 Degrees. I noticed the Lynda Sandwich sign and hopped on the chance to have a run-in with the A-rated(only in the Vietnamese community, of course) celebrity! Unfortunately, she was not there… The bf got the milk tea and it tasted fresh and the tea flavor was good… but left kind of a milky aftertaste in my mouth. I’d like it more if it had a stornger tea flavor and less of a milky aftertaste. The business is new and I guess it’s sort of a 2-in-1 establishment w/both Lynda Sandwich and Blue Sky Corner Café. Not sure why this was, but the establishment smelled like the inside of a bathroom… I really hope they fix this ASAP.
