Dawn Amador Advanced Skin Therapy

This is an update to my previous review. Dawn recently helped me with another massive breakout. It took many treatments to get me back on track, and now my skin looks radiant again. She pulled out every trick in the book as my breakouts were being stubborn. We discuss diet, home techniques to include in my régime, and ways to maintain my results. I don’t know what I would do without her. Thank you Dawn! You’re skills are amazing!

This was not at all what I expected. And it was quite a surprise. Good for me, I like surprises. The overall experience was relaxing and I loved how Dawn walked me through the process and let me know what was going to happen before she did it. In the beginning she has you fill some papers just to get to know your skin and what treatment would be best for you.
I will be straightforward though– the extractions were the worst part but it only hurts for like a second. Hey, no pain no gain, right? I feel safe with the products she’s put on my skin and it felt so smooth right after. Im so glad I found this place. I’d like to thank the Unilocalers before me for pointing me towards this place. I will for sure be coming back.

I am so pleased with the facial I got from Dawn. I’ve had quite a few facials at different locations and this by far was the most relaxing one!
1. Online booking — makes it easy to schedule (and reschedule, too). You may need to schedule 2 – 4 weeks out since she books up!
2. Late appointments — 6pm facial was the perfect way to end my workday and prepare me for a restful sleep.
3. Quality — exceptional quality all around from customer service to the technology she uses.
Dawn was at the front desk when I arrived (pet peeve of mine is when no one is at the front desk when you arrive for your appointment). She greeted me and had me fill out a form on my skin history, which we reviewed together afterwards.
She led me to the room which was just as clean and spotless as the front. I opted for the 60 minute Eminence Clear Skin Probiotic Acne Treatment (
) and was in awe at how comfortable and relaxing the entire process was. She thoroughly answered any questions I had and let me rest when I was quiet.
I love the fact that she includes a quick microdermabrasion session in each of her facials (in my experience, I’ve had to pay for MD sessions as an entirely separate hour-​long thing). She also does Chinese cupping with small rubber cups which was hypnotizing-​ly relaxing. Her extraction tool is as painless as can be and I’ve been a huge Eminence fan for about a year now, so there’s that :)
I must have dozed off here and there because before I knew it the hour was up! I paid (20% off for first visit, woo!) and I’ve already scheduled my next facial with her. I highly recommend Dawn if you’re looking for a thorough, high quality facial at a fantastic price.

I have been here several times to see Dawn for different facials. My skin has been confused over the last couple of years. Some days it breaks out, some days it’s extremely dry, which make it so difficult to maintain. Dawn is extremely warm, friendly and a so eager to help figure it out with me. She asks a lot of pertinent questions to help me troubleshoot the problem. She is extremely knowledgeable about her trade. Dawn shared the benefits of Eminence Skin Care, but is never ever pushy about selling anything to me, which I always appreciated. I purchased 2 things from the line so far and have been pleased with the products. I have been to many spas and have had facials from boutique spas to well known chains and 5 star hotel spas– Dawn by far is one of the best aestheticians I’ve had.

Great products and they have advanced skin care equipment to enhance product penetration. I have been here three times, the first time was AMAZING, last two times were good. I highly recommend you try them out, you won’t regret it.

Absolutely the best place you can ever go for a facial!!! I strongly advise anyone who is considering getting a facial to go here! I worked with Cheryl and could not have asked for better service or results. I came expecting a lot of pain since I came to get my acne extracted and I was very shocked to find that I could barely feel anything. She uses a variety of very interesting tools that are painless and very effective. The other very interesting thing she uses are all of the creams (which are all natural and organic with no chemicals). To top it all of they have the best service that I have experienced in a very long time. Again I strongly advise for everyone to go there and try it out for themselves!

Honestly, I came across this place because I was desperate. I paid $ 100 to go see my family doctor, only to have them tell me that I would have to be referred to a derm and I wouldn’t get an appointment until January. Three months until I was able to get *some* type of treatment.
I’ve suffered from minor cystic acne and lots of little bumps on my face that hasn’t completely transformed into a blackhead. It’s been a crazy two year journey and I’m pretty depressed that in my 20s I still have it.
I looked to Unilocal to help me find an alternative. With the amount of raving reviews here, I figured I’d get more for my money than some referral. I arrived on a Friday morning at 10:30AM and waited in the car, as my appointment was at 11am. She saw me and approached me through my car window and told me that I could come in! I love that she noticed and reached out to me earlier.
Cheryl was the kind lady who gave me my Acne facial. She explained each step to me and definitely made me feel comfortable. I love how knowledgable she is and even gave me tips on purchasing make-​up. One of the things I loved most about this place was that they offer microdermabrasion as a part of your facial! Most places charge an arm and a leg for it, but this comes with my treatment, which I am grateful for.
The extractions hurt, yes. But the whole process was worth it. I can see how much clearer my face is and I left in such a serene state of mind. Cheryl was kind enough to send me pictures of things that help her with her skin and even gave me a follow-​up call.
I can’t wait to go back for my second facial in a month and finally get down to the root of the issue. Whoever said Dawn and Cheryl were better than dermatologists was right.

What can I say, Dawn is truly a skin master! Not only does she give great relaxing facials that make your skin glow, she also has a ton of knowledge on Health! I’ve been dealing with Acne for most of my adult years but when I go to Dawn and use the products she recommends my skin always looks great and I often get compliments! I’m really excited because we are on month 2 of my acne scar treatment and I definitely see huge improvements already! I will be posting my before and afters with an updated review in the coming months!

This review is long overdue. I started coming here late last year with terrible acne. I’ve been to Dermatolgists, different Estheticians, read, researched etc. And after coming here, my skin is FINALLY looking better. I think it has been a combination of things but there have been a few key takeaways I gained here that have been game changers for me.
I have come several times to see Cheryl. She does a wonderful job on facials. She’s gentle enough that my face doesn’t look like a war zone after but effective enough that after, it clears up quickly, is re-​hydrated and all around in better shape. She does extractions but is definitely more conservative and doesn’t force anything to make the situation worse. While part of the service is relaxing, this is really more about her taking care of your face and telling you what she’s doing.
Dawn I’ve talked to on a few occasions and gotten her recommendations. She’s extremely knowledgeable when it comes to products, nutrition and how to get the best results. While I was skeptical of the products since they are more pricey, I got some samples to try first and I have to say I LOVE Eminence products now. I don’t say that often. I also love that I got a recommendation on a very simple product at Bed Bath and Beyond to exfoliate, which has worked far better and more gently for me than the Clarisonic. They are little tips with big results and I am so grateful.
I am due for a visit and have more work to do on my skin but cannot thank Dawn and Cheryl enough for what they do. They’re both very kind, professional and welcoming.
And as a side note, I strongly disagree with the reviewer saying this place is for people with normal skin or implying it’s more of a spa. My face is evidence of it. It was far from normal. Extractions alone are not what make a facial effective or worthwhile. It’s really a lot of things. And btw, Cheryl is great at listening.

I have been seen by Cheryl for over a year now and I could not rave enough about her. She is very sweet, down to earth, and gentle. She remembers me each time I come and always remembers what we spoke about during my last visit. (Even though sometimes it’s been months!) She is very easy to talk to and is very knowledgable about tips and advices she gives.
I always do the 1 hour probiotic acne facial. After each session, and my skin always looks radiant. I always refer my family and friends to go see her to understand what I am talking about. Pricing is a tad bit on the higher end because they use a high end organic line Eminence and all the cool gadgets they have. I think it’s really worth it and you should experience it for yourself.

Cheryl is AMAZING! She has helped me so much with my hormonal acne. I didnt have acne issues in high school but have developed them recently. It was really hard for me to deal with it and the moment I met with Cheryl she changed my life. She educates you and really makes you feel comfortable. After my 3^rd visit my Skin is completely back to normal. The entire experience is worth the price and I never once felt obligated to buy anything (which by the way, the products they use are mostly organic and smell AMAZING). If you want a life changing experience please give Skin Logic a try. The owner Dawn is pretty sweet as well :]

I love Dawn and Cheryl. They are AWESOME! I have been going to Skin Logic since 2011. My facial skin got much much better, I noticed changes after my every visit to Skin Logic.

Just had a facial here. I am not impressed.
The good: All the products smelled amazing. Cherl was nice and cordial. The place is cute and well decorated.
My beef: Lack of listening to client needs. I specifically said 1.) I am testing many centers in the area because I want to find a place that can do good extraction. And I ONLY care about extractions. But I was put through all the standard rituals and endless talk about this and that which I didn’t care about. I had to interject many many times to put a stop to the chatter and remind them what my true needs are. I counted 3 – 4 times i have to repeat myself and channel the conversation to my real purpose of visiting.
Despite their best intentions, I felt like my needs were ignored and I was talked down to. I know more about my skin than anyone else on the planet, and frankly, I need the facialist to meet MY needs and ADDRESS THEM, not talk down to me like some 6 year old who has no idea what she is doing.
For example, I already know sugar and dairy are bad for your skin. But what if you are diagnosed for low blood sugar syndrome and you have addictions to sugar otherwise you can’t function normally and energetically? What if you are undergoing diet rituals for years to replace protein with sugar to effectively rid yourself of this addiction? This goes way beyond «oh this and this is bad, stop eating it.» Everyone knows junk food is bad, but its the psychological, emotional and behavioral patterns behind it that is the real root cause. I know myself well, so please stop treating me like a 6 year old and listen to what I know I need.
When I was coming out, I was really interested in taking the time to see what back procedures they had. But the lady kept referring me to the website and call back, saying this place was paperless and someone else does them. I am sorry, but my time is valuable. If I am actually physically here, driven 30 minutes, I expect to get the answers what things are available right then and there!
The website says «At Skin Logic no question will go unanswered and no concern will go unfulfilled.»
No facial place I’ve been to have given me this impersonal, run of the mill procedure. Even the mom and pop Asian places listen to your needs first.
Needless to say, I will not be back.
Recommendation to owner: Talk less. Listen more. This is how you garnter long term clients. Great branding concept and I wish I had a better experience, but many are smart in this area and will see through facades. If a client doesn’t feel like they are listened to the first time, they won’t be back.
I want my money to go to work for me and get results. As great as all the products smelled, I feel like I can do this at home myself. There are tons of great skin care products on the market I can buy myself and do treatments myself — why do I need to drive to a spa to do it? I go there for things I cannot get myself — like excellent extractions and steaming.
This is a place for people with NORMAL skin who needs to be pampered with music and scents and all that package. This is not a place for someone looking for hardcore results.

I have been going to SkinLogic for about half year since 10/​2013, and I’m working with Cheryl all the time. So fart I got my BEST facial ever from Cheryl!
I don’t think they are merely for acne treatment, but all-​round skin care treatments! Most of the time I go with Probiotic treatments, some times I do Bright skin treatments. Cheryl might customize the facial depends on my skin condition. If I don’t have that much breakouts, then she would do less extraction work and do more brightening work! Every month they will have special offer — only $ 5 for an add-​on treatment like oxygen treatments or lightening treatment to reduce pigmentation. It REALLY a good deal, which usually costs $ 50 add-​on.
They will put you in a room with a massage bed and all their equipments. Every time Cheryl tells me what she is doing, what she is putting on my face, and what the product’s functions are. I love the feeling when she put a hot towel with lemon flavor on my entire face and neck to clean things up, and when the steam is spraying on my face. Doing the facial is absolutely an enjoyable experience.
Since my work hours, I can only come in late afternoon or weekend, Cheryl can always workaround the time to fit me in. Even a time I accidentally got severe sunburn, she put me in a late night appointment on their next working day! I appreciate that SO much! Chatting with Cheryl while the facial is always pleasant too! She never asks your personal stuff, never sell you any products, but recommends a lot diet habits to keep yourself clear and healthy! She even will write those product/food’s name for me for my benefits. I can trust herself and her work COMPLETELY!
I’m thinking about trying Dawn sometime, but her schedule is so full. And I’m thinking about taking my mom to here for a rejuvenating facial too!

CHERYL IS AMAZING!
I have had issues with my skin (acne flare ups, redness, dry skin, oily skin, you name it) for as long as I can remember. I found Cheryl by coming across Skin Logic’s website. I thought it was very convenient how they allow you to schedule an appointment online and I booked for a 60-​minute facial asap! After my first session with Cheryl, I saw improvements right away. After my second session, I was hooked! My skin has had a complete turn around and I absolutely love the results and believe truly that I owe it all to Cheryl! She knows exactly what she is doing and varies the treatments based on what your issue is that day or has been recently. Cheryl is very knowledgeable and does not hesitate to share her knowledge by giving you personal skin tips. I see Cheryl once every 4 – 5 weeks now and would absolutely recommend her in a heartbeat to anyone that feels like they are struggling with their skin.

I was at my wits end with my skin, weekly breakouts, oily, crappy looking dull skin! After many visits to my dermatologist, countless prescriptions of antibiotics, for what she classified as hormonal cystic acne. I frantically began searching the internet for help. I ran across Skin Logic, liked what I saw, and read the Unilocal reviews. I have to be honest though, I was a bit skeptical about the amazing reviews. I decided to give it a try, I had nothing to lose.
I have been seeing Dawn for seven months and I am a believer, a follower, her biggest fan! I have had a couple of minor breakouts here and there, but NOTHING like I experienced before I found her. My skin is clearer, brighter, my pore size has greatly reduced, and the redness my skin had is almost non existent. I love the Eminence organic products, they are great! Before trying these products, my skin broke out with EVERYTHING I tried.
It was a bit difficult getting my first appointment with Dawn. She has a busy, successful business, for a reason. She is definitely worth waiting for!

I tried to call a couple times but no one would answer. I ended up booking an appointment online. I arrived a little late and it was a little tricky because there were no open parking spots. I was greeted by Cheryl as i entered. Shes very friendly. She did a wonderful job. She gave me my full hour facial even though i was late. I wasn’t expecting that. Overall the experience was great, I would recommend.

I have been seeing Dawn for more than a year and she is simply amazing, here is why:
1. She DOES work on your skin! rather than putting a crème on your face and wait! She puts a lot of effort on massaging the skin! my skin feels so firm after the facial that It feels hard to smile:)
2. Her service for the amount of work she does is not expensive! So, it makes it easier to see her more often. Hope she keeps it this way;)
3. She is very smart! believe me, as a professional in silicon valley I know what I am taking about when I say smart! She knows about the Eminence products very well. I suffer from combination/​oily skin. The products she recommends are very good. If you look at the Eminence brochure, you would see a lot of products for this type of skin but she knows which ones are good and that saves a lot of money and time.
4. She is very understanding and does not push to buy products from her. That makes the client very comfortable.
5. Her facial room setting is quite peaceful! She does not talk with you too much and gives you time to meditate and relax. If you want to have a trip to heaven, see her:)

Dawn is truly amazing. I have been coming to dawn since the summer of 2010. I had terrible cystic acne and she performed a miracle on my skin. I had been going to dermatologists for years and been given so many harsh medications. But after getting facials from dawn my skin is amazing. I am constantly having people tell me how glowing my skin is and how clear it is. She has helped me keep my skin feeling rejuvenated and clean.
She knows my skin. Everytime I go in for a massage she doesn’t try to sell me on anything. She gives great advice on healthy living and eat habits. She knows what she is doing and does it very well.
