I love the efficiency with which Gilbert is able to identify and fix the issue. He landed up being the 3 person sent by our home warranty company to fix an issue that the pervious repair companies weren’t able to fix. He completed the work in 30 minutes flat and seemed surprised it had taken so long to fix. I would HIGHLY recommend him.

Giltech repaired my dryer– it was not spinning, needed a new belt. Hard time scheduling, they were very busy but when when they came out he was very professional, and repaired took only like 20 minutes. Cost was alittle less than he quoted so it worked out in my favor. Dryer is running great now. Tech was very professional, clean and fast!
I will call them again if ever needed again !

Giltech is one of the few companies I can utterly trust to repair appliances at my home. Gilbert is one of the most professional and most knowledgeable individuals I’ve met. He is courteous, efficient and meticulous. He is the only one I specifically ask for calling American Home Shield. Only have had very pleasant visits over the past few years.

Gilbert is one of the best appliance repair personnel that we had at our home. We had chronic problems with our refrigerator that went undiagnosed by several companies. Gilbert identified the issue and proceeded with corrective action ASAP. He was also kind enough to make time for us on a Friday evening. There are several repair companies that just want to make a quick dollar but Gilbert is different. Highly recommend him for his work ethics, deep knowledge and friendliness.

Second time working with Gilbert. First time was our gas burner and range hood fan and lights. He fixed the fan but the lights fused out a few weeks later. I was too busy to call and request service again as the 30 day warranty period had passed. So I got ²⁄₃ on that situation because at least the range burner and hood fan kept working.
This time, a year or more later, our dishwasher was not working– low water pressure and dishes not washing plus an inch of standing water. I’m not an expert at these things besides just using them– like most other home owners:-) Gilbert came over to take a look while I was out and ended up almost yelling at my nanny about why it was not maintained and since there was water standing at the bottom he did not want to touch it or fix it. He told her to use CLR which I did twice the same night. I called him the next day and more of that obnoxious attitude and he basically told me I was responsible and the warranty would not cover it and so on.
Needless to say I called the warranty company and told them I don’t want rude people in my home. He may be good at his skill but basic good manners is not too much to ask for in a customer service role.

I was introduced to GilTech and Gilbert since he was the assigned contractor for First American Home Warranty. First I was given A&E Appliance (known as Sears Appliance). Suffice it to say they did NOT fix the problem. I called FAHW back, and they dispatch GilTech. Gilbert From GilTech was great. He has since fixed my washer, dryer, refrigerator, and now dishwasher all in the past 6 months (yes, I’ve had lots of appliance «issues» since purchasing my condo). But Gilbert did great work on each one without any hassle.
I will be using GilTech for all my appliance repairs from now on. He knows his stuff.

Second time using GilTech. Gilbert worked on the Thermador double oven, Bosch Dryer in November and today, the Bosch Washer. He even checked our Sub Zero refrigerator. We have used many appliance repair technicians in the past. GilTech is the BEST! Gilbert was on time, easy to deal with and fixed our appliances on the spot. I am so glad that the reviews from Unilocal directed me to GilTech. Highly recommend Gilbert for the job.

This guy is the best. We had 3 appliances go bad and I honestly did not have high expectations with the serviceman that AHS warranty would pick. But Gilbert was such a great experience.
Great attitude, very knowledgable, patient. He ordered all the parts needed and made multiple visits to get everything working. Best, highly recommend!

I called Gil to fix my dishwasher that wasn’t draining properly and my oven that needed to have its sensor replaced. I didn’t like the fact that I would have to pay $ 50 for an estimate if I didn’t want to do the work with him. However, his reviews were great and I decided to go forward. To my surprise he wanted to charge us $ 90 per labor/​job (it took him 10 minutes to «fix» everything). So in my situation it was going to be $ 180 just for labor not counting the parts. My husband and I were shocked with the price. If I knew it was going to be so expensive I would have never called him. My oven continues to send the same massage that the sensor is not working. He put on the receipt that it «might need a PCB», which would be a panel replacement… over $ 200. If he had told me how much it would cost me beforehand, I would have replaced the oven entirely and not spent my money for nothing. After I posted my review he kept e-​mailing me to remove my post. I think people should know these facts. Removing my post because this is his business (as he requested) doesn’t make up for Unilocal’s purpose: to help customers find the best service.

Giltech’s fee for diagnosis and estimate is the lowest around — $ 60. Gil was prompt and courteous and businesslike. Gil completed the repair to my 24-​year-​old refrigerator for $ 206 (needed new switch of some sort and some other stuff, and also needed hose to icemaker fixed), and reassured me that the freon was fine (i.e., didn’t do unnecessary work). After he left it seemed to me that it wasn’t as cold as it should be so he came back at no charge and tinkered with it some more and now it’s perfect. In addition, for no extra charge, he helped me with a sink faucet that wasn’t working right. Amazing! You rock, Gil!

I had couple issues with my appliances– first was a Thermador oven and second was a Subzero refrigerator and ended up calling Giltech after a little bit research. Gilbert (owner) came on time and fixed the computer board right a way because the display was too dim and it was amazing that he could fix the computer board which another tech was asking for more than $ 300 for replacing the board and Gilbert fixed it with just half the cost! Money stayed in my pocket :)
Subzero had a seal system issue and he replaced all the components and now my fridge works great :)
I will diffidently recommend Gilbert to who ever wants a professional service and a reliable individual to work on their appliances. He is on-​time and someone who seems knows what he is doing. It seems he has enough experience to work with high end appliances. Extremely recommended !!!

Gilbert came out as a consultant for another appliance repairman. He worked on my Thermadore dual fuel range/​oven and on our HVAC. He diagnosed the range and assisted in replacing the blower motor on our Trane central heat/​air. He was right on time, courteous and didn’t charge me a dime. And based on what I paid the other repairman (see my other reviews), someone made very little off of me that day. I highly recommend GilTech Appliance.

Gilbert call before he came. He was there promptly and during the agreed on time. It took dishwasher apart and although the dishwasher would not leak while he was here he cleaned off the built up soap which may be causing the seal to not seal correctly. He told me to use less detergent clean the area where it seals on a regular basis and call him if it leaks again. (The other repair man who was here before him didn’t say anything about cleaning or using less detergent)
He was here a year ago and fixed my gas stove and he did a great job solving a very complicated problem caused by another repair man.
I hope if you have a problem you will call him. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Sorry everyone, but GilTech did not do a good job for us — when they came to our place several weeks ago.
01) Over the phone they indicated what they thought the problem was — yet when they got there, they were not prepared to fix that problem.
02) Also, the attitude of the «leader» was bordering on unprofessional and arrogant — it felt like he was doing us a favor to be there.
I CANNOT recommend them.

Came out on a Saturday to fix our microwave! Very old microwave, so suppliers didn’t have the part. Gilbert created a temporary fix that got it working while we wait on parts. While he was here, he checked out a problem with the fridge and also ordered parts to fix it on his return visit.
It’s great to see someone that can actually fix things instead of just plug-​in parts. Very knowledgeable, very nice guy. Highly recommended!!!

Gilbert fixed our oven today and did a great job. Gilbert is a very nice and reliable guy. He did the work quickly and thoroughly and at a fair price. He showed up when he said he would and answered all my questions. Gilbert will always be my first call whenever one of our appliances is in need of repair.

My refrigerator died on Memorial Weekend. Talk about poor timing. I had just gone grocery shopping so naturally I was hoping to get it fixed as soon as possible. As you might expect no repair shop was even answering their phone on a Holiday weekend let alone coming out to look at my appliance. I stumbled upon GilTech on Unilocal.Not only did he answer the phone but he stopped out on Saturday. He was able to temporarily get the fridge working until the parts came in. He was prompt, knowledgeable and courteous. I get the feeling this might be a small shop but that doesn’t matter to me as long as they can fix the appliance and show up on time. Gilbert did both.

I have called many authorized appliance repair people over the years. But this one is by far the best! He is very friendly, knows his appliances well and is efficient. It’s so nice to have a friendly, reliable professional coming into your home and doing what needs to get done! I really appreciate that. He’s great for any appliance. We happened to have our dryer, Sub-​zero frig and microwave all need servicing at the same time. It was done smoothly and at a great price! Thanks!

My Bosch dishwasher wasn’t draining. I went online to Just Answers and they weren’t helpful at all. So I called GilTech Appliance. Gilbert showed up and promptly found the problem — a plugged air release valve. Doh! The Just Answer guy said I would have to replace the control panel, but Gilbert said he doesn’t like to do that just to make money. In short, I found Gilbert to be skilled, pleasant and trustworthy. I hope I never have trouble again, but if I do I’ll call Gilbert.
