Excellent Service. Jason is wonderful. His crew did drain cleanup for my 4 plex property. Requested Jason for camera checkup for the drain after the cleanup completed and he is wonderful enough to offer the service with no extra charge. Also their prices are definitely affordable. Will recommend this company to any one.

We had a stopped up drain in a second floor bathroom for a week — 3 other plumbers we called would not even come out to work on it because it was inside, one came and looked and did not come back. J Drains came out on a Sunday, came on time, quickly fixed the problem, and charged less that we expected. Excellent plumber!

Before calling J Drains I called numerous plumbers that didn’t answer or cancelled. Thankful to Jason who answered immediately, showed up within an hour and did not make me feel too dumb for a fix I could have done myself in a minute. We previously had a major back up into the entire house that caused major damage so I think I was scared to even look! Thanks for being fair. I will definitely be referring you and look forward to working with you… just not in an emergency!

I had a plumbing emergency last night, so turned to Unilocal to look for someone to come ASAP. Tried several «24 hr» places, got either an answering machine telling me to leave a msg, or no response at all.
Finally I called J Drains, and immediately a live person answer the phone. They said a plumber would arrive in 45 minutes, The plumber was very courteous, did the job without creating a mess, gave a 30 days warranty on the job, and charged us a very reasonable price.
Couldn’t be happier with them. I now know who to turn to when I have plumbing emergencies.

I have to write a second review based on a referral given to us by this company. I needed to have someone come out and check our furnace and air conditioning system after we were told by another person that we had to completely replace our system. They referred us to an honest company who came out and fixed our problem quickly and economically-​I could not be any happier. Thanks!!!

Once again j drains has been reliable and they always go above and beyond in all aspects of their service. I used them a month ago and had a great experience. Well my mother was having issues now at her house so she called j drains. She was greeted by the super sweet receptionist dez who informed her that the technicians were all out on calls and that someone would be out within an hour to two hours to address the issue. Well just as she said the tech, Angelo, was at her house in less than an hour. He was very professional and knowledgeable!!! He was able to located the problem within 10 minutes of being at her house. Thankfully we called j drains because she was told by another company that she needed to replace all her pipes which would cost more than 2000… Angelo did a great job explaining exactly what the problem was and made sure that we understood exactly what was going on. Once again, Jason’s excellent team made our plumbing nightmares disappear. At an exceptionally affordable and reasonable price!!!

So tonight I had my shower backed up I called j drains 24 hr service and Dez the receptionist answered right away she reassured me that a tech would be out within the hr and the tech showed up within 45min fixed the problem quick in the lighting and rain Jason the owner is awesome he even gave me a discount thanx j drains I’ll refer these guys any day

Yeah, the response from this guy says it all. The screwup is on their end. Beware of full licensed and bonded douchebags.

Yesterday I broke my water main going into my house with a ditch witch. (Dammit)
I called around to 4 different «24÷7» plumbers who all had an excuse to not be available. The owner of Jdrains picked up the phone and squeezed me in at 9:45 at night. First off there is nothing worse than fixing underground plumbing at night, but Jason worked his ass off to get the job done. He even had to disassemble & reassemble a faulty San Jose water company meter to get my system up and running.
The company has recently gone under some restructuring for the better, so any bad reviews previously should now be corrected.

This week was one of many jobs I have used Jdrains for. I work at a huge 255 bed nursing home and we had a main line clogged up. As always, I called Jason on and he had guys out in about an hour (on a Saturday). They cleared the troublesome line that clogs frequently. Sunday it clogged again and after 6 hours they couldn’t get it cleared and so we decided to dig it up and fix the problem. Monday morning they were here, jacked up the concrete, found a lake under the concrete, dug it all up, replaced the rotted pipes with abs plastic 4″ line, and backfilled by Tuesday afternoon. The concrete was poured and by Wednesday morning it was back to business. Anyone who knows about the smell of grease traps and rotten sewer can understand how horrible it was to be working in those conditions but the guys were troopers and didn’t complain, they just got the job done. Jason is the FAIREST plumber out there. All my years here I have used many companies and no one has ever taken care of us like Jason and the crew does. Mia is great in the office and gets back to me when I need something and keeps me informed if the guys are running late or anything. Overall, I am super happy that I switched from Drain Doctors to Jdrains for all my plumbing issues (which are a lot in this old building). Thanks for everything!

The afternoon of New Year’s Eve my kitchen sink backed up. I was stressing since I have guests arriving soon! Mia had Jeff here in less than 2 hours.

We had J Drains out in 2013 to help with what we thought was just debris in our lines. The guest bathroom, garage sink, and the washer were inoperable and they sent someone that very night! They snaked the line and all went well.
A year later, September 2014, and what a mess. We were having back ups again in a all of the downstairs including the dishwasher. Seeing how we didn’t have use of any plumbing in the downstairs, they once again came out pronto! They did some discovery work involving underground video and found that our 1964 plumbing was made primarily of asbestos and had crumpled underground to the main line.
That day they did a quick fix so that we could at least shower, flush and use our sinks. To completely replace the plumbing was not a cheap endeavor but ultimately, the guys did the work within 2 days and even made every attempt to put our landscaping back the way they found it. We have a completely new plumbing system (which they filed a doc with the city so it’s coded, that ups the home value). We were very pleased with the customer service level as well as the explanation of costs associated.

SO GLAD I CALLED!!!
As a new home owner I had no idea who to call other then the BIG companies who do this BUT I always prefer local if I can!!! I called Roter Rooter first, yes I did sorry. but they were going to be several hours before they could make it out, and when SH** is coming up from your shower that’s the LAST thing you want to hear!
So I called this place to check timing and pricing and they were BETTER on BOTH!!! Duh, I am going with J Drains!
From the very first gal who answered the phone to Eddie the guy who came out it was professional, friendly and helpful!!! The gals said she would get right back to me with a time estimate and she followed up right away. Next thing I knew Eddie was at our door in record time!
When Eddie got here he was friendly, fast and helpful. He explained things and I love that! He was also worried about keeping the house clean and I always appreciate that!

The good:
They come out in the middle of the night. We had a drain issue, and they came an hour after we called.
The ok:
It took them an hour and a half to snake the drain because apparently they were going the wrong way for a while. Not that that’s a huge issue, but we did have someone else snake the same thing before, and it didn’t take nearly that long.
Also, compared to roter rooters (who quoted us 215), they said it would be 350. So with the Unilocal coupon, we paid 250. And they don’t quote prices until they come out.
They also scheduled to come out yesterday, but they canceled an hour before. I had already left work early.
Overall they did fix our problem and resolved the issues that we had.

Trying to be as honest in this review as possible. 3 stars —
The good :
The guy that showed up [Phil] was nice and polite. He knew exactly what he was doing and completed the entire job in 1 hour. The job was to replace a leaky faucet behind the washing machine. Turned off the water, unscrewed the faucet, replaced, and turned the water back on. Simple job but done very well.
The bad :
Initially scheduled for a Thursday. They didn’t show. I called and they said they had another emergency. Fine. Rescheduled for another day. This time they were still half an hour late after I had called him to remind them.
Next, the costing was $ 150/​hr, which is reasonable. Phil arrived at 9:30 and finished before 10:30, but they wanted to charge me 2 hours worth ($ 325)!! What? Apparently there was an undisclosed charge (1 hour minimum at $ 150/​hr) just to pick up a $ 10 part from a nearby store (same part you can get at Home Depot, OSH, etc). He went to pick this up in less than 20 minutes. This was unacceptable to me and mostly why its only a 3 star review.
The conclusion:
The work was good and professional, but just make sure you get a clearer quote than I did so you’re not surprised by any undisclosed charges and call them to make sure they are on time.
