Lil’ Chick Pet Sitter

Aj was fantastic with my bunny, Dudley! She treated him as if he was her own & would send updates/​pics throughout the day. I’m sure Dudley didn’t want to leave after being so spoiled!

My cat hates people (except me… and I think it’s only because I have opposable thumbs). AJ takes great care of her when I’m away, and from the beginning she accepted my cat for who she is. Over the past 8 years, Chiquita has grown used to AJ, and she will now come out and greet. LIl’ Chick services are always timely, precise as to any special directions, and done with lots of love and care. I wouldn’t trust my SBC (Spoiled Brat Cat) to anyone else!

I have been using Lil’ Chick Pet Sitters for a couple years now. It is so hard to find a pet sitter that is knowledgeable in the proper care for rabbits. AJ is the greatest! I truly feel that she loves my bunny and has her best interests at heart. Her place is very clean, quiet and safe with ample space. Her prices are very reasonable. She sends me updates with pictures and really puts me at ease. My bunny always gets well fed, lots of love and plenty of exercise. She only takes a certain amount of pets at a time so that she can give them the proper care. I would recommend Lil’Chick to anyone that is picky about the care of their pets.

My regular pet sitter could not accommodate me, and it turns out Lil chick is downsizing and has no other sitters in my area. Since Nathan is not able to see my pets and he needs a break of course I have to move on to another service. I wish I had gotten a clearer picture as I did not realize that Lil chick is not hiring any more people and doesn’t really cover my area. AJ owner is very nice and sent me leads to other services but that doesn’t help me too much.

We just started using Lil’ Chick for our 3 bunnies. They stayed with AJ while I was away for a 10 day trip. I felt very comfortable knowing they were in AJ’s care. For starters the space is very clean and the bunnies get plenty of space to relax and run around. The rates very reasonable. AJ only takes a small number of bunnies at one time so your pets are sure to get the care and attention they need. Almost daily AJ will send you updates and photos of your pet. They are also very knowledgeable and equipped for any emergency. Lil’ Chick is the best!

We just returned from our vacation, and our fat n’ happy kitty greeted us at the door with, «Who are you guys, where’s my new best friend, AJ?»
Once again, Lil’ Chick Pet Sitters did a great job caring for Cooper the Cat. We’ve used Lil’ Chick services for many years, and we (and the kitty) couldn’t be happier with her genuine love for our furry best friends. Our kitty is in good health and only requires basic care (food, water, litter box, interaction, etc), but like our pervious kitty, Lil’ Chick will medicate cats with special needs. You’ll even receive a daily snapshot of your happy pet via email. Nice touch.
Take Cooper’s advice, your pet won’t be disappointed.

I have been using Lil’ Chick for the last two years, and could not be happier with the service that AJ provides. My bunnies love visiting her. She provides them with lots of room to play and places to hid. I rest much easier knowing that they are staying with someone who knows how to properly care for rabbits. She has even given me some great tips on bunny behavior!
AJ is great about communication, and I always look forward to getting pictures and updates on the bunnies while I’m on vacation. I wouldn’t dream of leaving my pets with anyone else. Thank you!

Lil Chick Pet Sitters has truly been amazing for us over the past 4 years. AJ has taken wonderful care of our two female cats Gigi and Ellie numerous times both with ample notice and even last minute trips and the girls have come to know and love her. Sadly we are moving out of the Willow Glen/​San Jose area and I don’t know how we find anyone as wonderful or reliable as AJ has been.
She has proved that there are people out there that you can rely on and trust and I couldn’t be more appreciative of all she has done for us. Thank you AJ for the care and love you have shown our kitties with each visit you make. Anyone who uses you is lucky to have someone care for their animals the way that you do. You will be greatly missed.

Love love love Lil Chick! We just used their services for the first time, to watch our kitty. This was the first petsitter we have used for him and we were a bit nervous leaving him. AJ is the best cat sitter I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She emailed us every visit, with pics and an update. (Loved that since I was thinking about him practically every second we were away) We even found a few more toys added to his collection upon our return! She is super sweet, trustworthy, and most important to me, you can really tell she has a genuine love for furry babies! Thank you for making our time away from our Maddy less traumatic and super smooth! I highly recommend AJ and her company, Lil Chick Petsitters!!! A++++ service!

Lil Chick is great. We have been using them for the past 6 months or so for dog walking and cat sitting. Stephanie did a great job with both of our (sometimes challenging) pets — they love her! She was very responsive, flexible, and professional.

I have had their service for over 2 years and have not had an issue once.
Our two cats were able to stay at home while we traveled, 3 – 4 times a year and they seemed to be just happy.
Unfortunately we are moving away from their service area and will miss their service greatly.
I would recommend their service for anyone looking for pet sitting in the Campbell, CA area.

My fur-​kids have been with Malia and AJ for 4+ years now and if Unilocal allowed more stars, Lil Chick would have them all! From short trips out of town to longer holiday breaks Malia have always been there consistently and provided very professional and personalized care for our 3 cats. The photo updates and synopsis of what our furballs had been up to that day give so much peace of mind… it’s priceless. I’ve come to depend on Malia and Lil Chick like family because my fur-​babies know and accept her and we trust her without question. No stressed pets = no stressed parents. With service like this I’m lucky to be one of their clients. Malia and AJ remain the GREATEST!

We have used AJ for over 3 years to check in on our cat when we are out of town. She is great — I especially appreciate the photos she sends every day we are gone. She has also helped with bringing in the mail, taking out and bringing back in the trash on garbage day, and watering plants. She has gone above and beyond for us in the past, when one of the keys we gave her did not work — she worked with us and made sure she got into our place to check on Abby! I have recommended her to friends in the past, and will continue to do so in the future.

I’ve been a regular in-​home customer of L’il Chick for about 4 – 5 years, I guess. Well, our house had to be Termite Tented and we had to «bug out» for 48 hours. Cats can’t stay, of course and need a safe place for the two days. One time I tried using a kennel and my cat stopped eating and had to be picked up early. I was pretty sure that only a home setting would work for a successful stay. AJ was able to give us a choice of dates for boarding our two elderly cats (one gets medicine twice a day) and gave them their own private room. They even met a bunny for the first time ever! The termites are gone now and the cats seemed to have no trouble at all being away at «camp» for the two days. AJ seems to be very knowledgeable and cares for animals a great deal.

I’m emerging out of my Unilocal Cone of Silence once more because this review just had to be written: Lil’ Chick is simply one of the best companies ever. I’m not talking about «good as pet sitters go.» I’m talking about Best Companies Ever.
I adopted my two cats almost five years ago, and I’ve been traveling extensively for about four of those years. The first time I found myself confronted with a longer-​than-​overnight journey, I hopped on Unilocal,sorted the pet sitters in my area by ratings, and selected Lil’ Chick. Truly, the stars were aligned, as my request for a sitter coincided with the arrival of Michelle Choe to the Lil’ Chick’s staff roster. What a gem!
Michelle was always ready to help, regardless of how little lead time I could give her on my impending travels. Over time, she was even able to coax our super-​shy male cat into letting her pet him (this was a huge deal; to this day, my male cat is STILL a bit skittish around my husband!). She stopped by twice a day each day I was gone, and she sent photos of her visits so that I could see that my fuzzy-​butted friends were happy and healthy. Upon her resignation from Lil’ Chick to move out of the country, she asked to stop by one last time to visit our kitties… and give US a thank-​you gift. Like I said: Best Company Ever.
Here’s where it gets even better: after Michelle’s resignation, AJ – the Lil’ Chick owner – was able to continue watching my sweet kitties. During my most recent time away from home, AJ discovered that our cats love chasing laser dots, so she left us a little laser pointer to continue the fun when we returned. She also noticed that the cats preferred a few types of wet food over other flavors, so when the supply ran low, she made a trip to the pet store to pick up extra cans of the more popular food. How can you beat that?!
If you’ve made it this far into my write-​up, I know you’re seriously considering hiring a pet sitter. Give Lil’ Chick a call. I can’t imagine having anyone else look after my feline friends.

I’ve worked with Lil’ Chick as a pet sitter for 4 years and it has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever been through.
AJ and the Lil’ Chick team always felt like family from the moment I joined back in 2010. I never felt like I was working under a boss with AJ (even though she was!). She was more like a close friend whom I can talk to about anything, but at the same time, very professional when it comes to business. She is always so positive and encouraging and most importantly, her love and commitment to animals and clients alike is awe-​inspiring! She makes sure that at the end of the day, our pets receive the highest quality care that they deserve.
While working at Lil’ Chick, I was given the choice to choose my pet-​sits and schedule according to my preferences which gave me flexibility in my schedule. Not only does AJ look out for her clients and pets, but she is always looking out for her pet-​sitters as well, making sure that they don’t get burnt out for the sake of their health, as well as to ensure that they’ll be able to deliver the best care to their pets.

I feel very fortunate to have found AJ and Lil’ Chick Pet Sitters. I have no concerns when taking off for a long weekend or an extended vacation as I know my little ones will be taken care of. AJ even sends daily updates via email or iPhone plus photos of my pets while I’m away! Thank you AJ for all the love, care and attention you give to my pets.

A.J. of Lil’Chicks Pet Sitters did a fantastic job looking after our two kitties while we were away on two separate events. We were gone a week both times with only a week in between, so we were worried the cats might not forgive us! A.J. emailed us pics of our kitties each day she came to the house and we returned home to see them healthy and well fed. A.J. is very responsible and extremely professional. We have recommended her to our friends already. We had two very good experiences with Lil’Chicks Pet Sitters.

I can’t say enough positive things about A.J. and Lil’ Chick Pet Sitters! A.J. has taken care of my two cats (AKA family members) several times now, and her services are absolutely priceless.
Before finding Lil’ Chick Pet Sitters (thanks, Unilocal!!!) I had used a couple of different boarding services in the Bay Area, but even though those places let my two cats out in common areas for a few hours each day, I couldn’t stand the thought of them being in cages for most hours of the day, often separated. (But at least they were safe. Before boarding them, I had tried having a family member house-​sit; one cat escaped and disappeared for a week — I probably aged ten years in that week, and it wasn’t so great for my family relationships.)
So then I found A.J., who immediately put me at ease with her professionalism, thorough introductory questions, and kind, pet-​loving manner. My cats can now stay at home whenever I am away, in their own «territory,» and my mind is at ease, knowing I can trust A.J. to check in on my precious darlings (and the house), and check in with me regularly to let me know that everything is fine.
Now I can’t imagine not having A.J. in my life! We love her, our cats love her, and you will, too. I couldn’t recommend a company more highly than Lil’ Chick Pet Sitters!

I haven’t been able to use Lil’ Chick Pet Sitters yet. My current dog sitters are moving, so I was trying to check out my options.
Per the Unilocal reviews, I contacted them via email, and they emailed back immediately to let me know they would work with their team and see if they had a sitter available in the area.
They emailed me a couple of hours later to let me know that they had no openings at this time.
I’m writing this review just to say thanks for letting me know. It can be so frustrating to reach out to find services of any kind, and never getting a call back, even when there is no availability.
Hopefully they will have an opening in the future ;).
