I went to Nails A1 in high school and upon moving back to San Jose in 2011 never thought to go back. Instead I went to Annie at her previous salon based on my mom’s referral. I love Annie and have been going to her for 4 years. When she took over Nails A1 I was so happy for her! I’ve seen her transform this place since she moved. She has turned it into a beautiful, modern, clean, inviting salon.
And the nails… we can’t forget the nails. Annie takes her time. She is very meticulously and thorough. I get a perfect pedicure every time.
Her customer service is also wonderful. She truly cares about her customers and gets to know them. It’s no wonder she has a loyal customer base that followed her to Nails A1.

Great shop! CLEAN. New owner-​Annie– is very nice and knowledgable. Prices are reasonable-​$ 23 pedicure includes paraffin treatment and hot stone leg massage. Great attention to detail and cleanliness.

Annie the new owner has turned this place around! she is so friendly, accommodating and makes you feel welcomed. It’s clean, sanitary, has relaxing music, it has lots of colors to choose from and the ladies that work there Tina and Lan are fabulous! They are not loud when they talk and they make sure you are comfortable and relaxed. Best part? They take their time taking care of your feet/​hands and is not rushed! Worth every penny ! They get 5 Stars on everything

I’m so happy to follow Annie to her new shop Nails A1. I have been her customer for years and I am so happy she is the new owner, she deserves it. She is amazing and knows how to treat her customers. I have been to this place a few times and love it! The ladies working there do a great job. My mani and pedi look perfect every time. They really take their time and don’t make you feel rushed. There are lots of nail color options– and lots of new nail polish recently! Such a sweet little spot! :)

Annie gave the best pedi’s, but she left too. I used to love coming here since this place was so close to my house & it’s cheap! Since my two favorite people left, so did I.

This place has changed a lot since January 2015. The woman who now runs the place isn’t great. She tries to up-​sell you the ENTIRE time you’re there for your pedicure/​manicure. The instruments are no longer cleaned well at all — I saw her just rinse them in water briefly after my pedicure before putting them back in the tray. Yuck! And I got so grumpy — she successfully convinced me to get a manicure after my scheduled pedicure by telling me together they’d be only $ 28, but when it was time for me to pay, she changed her mind and told me it’d be $ 31, with no explanation as to why. I didn’t want to argue with her, so I just paid and left. This place was so great for so long, but it’s REALLY changed, and I sadly won’t ever be going back. The pedicure wasn’t even that good.

Gross this place used to be my favorite go to spot. Within the last year they’ve gone down hill. None of the new girls give quite as good pedicure as I used to get. And most recently, I got a nasty rash (probably athletes foot, I have an appointment tomorrow) that developed right after my latest pedicure. Other reviews say the same. Never coming back. Disgusting.

I have not been here for quite sometime, but a friend of mine just went and got ring worm from here. The place is very unsanitary and probably violates many health laws. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It is dirty and unsafe.
