History
Established in 2009.
In 2009, Rosemary and Thyme (R&T) was founded by Louba Burstein and Steve Osterback. After the closing of Renata’s Bakery, they saw an opportunity to fuse their culinary talents and create a business that would share Russian and Georgian delicacies (which are not so popular in the United States) to American customers.
The name «Rosemary and Thyme» was selected because R&T offers not only Russian and Georgian food but an extensive catering service of French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, and American food. They wanted the name to express a business aspect that was not specific to any one of these types of cuisine – their mission of using green, healthy, simple ingredients (low in preservatives) to create delicious, unique, beautiful, and affordable food.
Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner
Louba Burstein was born and raised in the Republic of Georgia. She has been home cooking Russian, Georgian, and American food for her entire life. In 2008, she graduated from the Professional Culinary Institute in Campbel, California. She graduated with Honors and received the Bert Cutino Award for Outstanding Culinary Institute. Rosemary adn Thyme is her dream come true as it provides a venue for her to share Russian and Georgian delicacies with the American population and vise versa.
