I got my first devacut done by Maria and it is the BEST haircut I have ever had. She did amazing. My curls are bouncier, it is easier to style, my hair looks amazing. I didn’t even know my hair could look this good. I can’t recommend her enough!

I’ve now gotten my hair cut twice by Maria and I have to say she’s just great. The DevaCut is a bit more expensive, but it’s totally worth it. Maria really understands curly hair and how to take care of it. I brought in some photos of looks that I liked and she was able to replicate it perfectly!

Maria was so helpful and incredibly patient with my hair. I came with my hair somewhat tangled and she handled it so well and did exactly what I asked for! She was so helpful with giving me tips on how to style my curls. Definitely coming back for another trim!

Maria is hands down the best hair stylist I have been to! I highly recommend booking your next hair appointment with her! She is so nice and always leaves my hair just how I want it!

Rose is amazing with color and cut. Have been going there for close to 20 years and she still is up with the latest styles and color.

I was robbed $ 209!!! This lady does not listen, she did the total opposite of what I had asked. She also told me to «use my words» like I was a 2 year old. Who does that to new client!!! My hair looks the same but shorter. Worst experience of my life!!! I wish I could get a refund… Worst hairstylist ever!!!

I went in needing a hair cut and color and I was thrilled with the results.
Jenn listened to me and did the cut exactly how I wanted it. She also did highlights on my dark black hair an lightened it up a little without damaging my hair which I loved.
I loved that she listened to me but also made suggestions that I could use.
Overall a great experience. I will be going here next time for sure.

Paizley’s has moved and I was in last week for a hair cut and got to see their new studio… it’s beautiful!!! Jenn, Maria, Rose and Milana have moved into this new location and while the location has changed, the service is still the best.
They are now located inside Salons by JC Westgate, 4735 Hamilton Avenue, Suite #20 in San Jose. Their new number is 408−540−7208 or 408−255−0059.

After almost 14 years, I still love my Rose! I have very fine hair that has near zero volume. I go back and forth between a short a-​line bob, a pixie and most recently, back to an asymmetrical longish pixie. No matter what I throw at her, Rose is always able to realize my vision and is honest about what will and won’t work with my hair type. I recommend an appointment with either her or Jenn (who is also fabulous). It’s a genuine treat to visit and the salon has always felt welcoming and relaxing.

Let me start off by saying that I’d like to dub the owner as «Rose Knows.» Today I experienced my first haircut with her, and I can only say that she possesses a true sense of how to deal with hair, working with the natural growth patterns and making it all come out right. She makes you feel right at home and speaks with great ease about what she believes the best look for you, but she’s not at all pushy. She did a great job trimming and coloring my beard, and left me with suggestions for styling.

Still love this place and Nancy. My hair continues to challenge me and she continues to rise to the challenge and make me appreciate the awesomeness that is naturally curly hair.
On another note, there is always such cool stuff to shop for, this is a really cute boutique shop.

I have been going to Nancy for almost 14 yrs. She not only listens to what you want but is very personable. All of the people who work there are super friendly and you feel at ease. I really am happy to have found Nancy and this salon.

My 5 year old daughter has very fine, curly hair. Her only other haircut experience was at one of those kids places where they sit in a car, and unfortunately the woman there really didn’t know what to do except give her a blunt cut that was way too short and didn’t look very good. This time I set out to find a stylist that is experienced with curly hair who would be willing to work with children. This turned out to be much harder than I thought — I called a few places and nobody was willing to take her, until I called Paizleys and spoke with Jenn. Jenn was very friendly and happy to cut her hair.
Jenn cut her hair dry, which is exactly what I wanted, as that really allows her to work with her curl pattern. The result is adorable, not too much length off but a much better shape. I’m hoping to come in myself; all of the staff are trained in the «curly girl» deva method which is very impressive! The salon itself is very cute and everyone was friendly and not at all pretentious. Great experience!

Before this, every hair stylist said «oh, this would make you look cute!» and I would end up looking like a 12 year old. Then Jennifer decided I needed to look sophisticated like a career woman should.
I’m definitely sticking with this spa. Not only did she make me look my age (20’s), she also didn’t dry my hair out to the point of frizziness.

I found Paisley’s just by stopping in when I was at the dry cleaner next door, and I thought the vibe felt great, and l liked the haircuts that I saw on the staff and customers at the time. When I stopped in, Rose, the owner, did a bangs trim for me, and I was pleased with that so I decided to give them a try and have been happy ever since.
The reason I write is because I recently got such a great haircut from Jen, that I felt she deserved the props on Unilocal!I was due with my baby in march, so I planned a haircut in february so that I knew that would be taken care of by the time she came. But my daughter surprised us and came a month early, the week right after my pre-​baby haircut! So many people complimented me on how good I looked immediately post delivery. Even my hair looked good in the photos! I have to credit Jenn for some of that glow!
Jenn also did my wedding hair and make up, and I still get compliments on that too!

Paizley’s Salon and Spa is an awesome and quaint salon that I began going to several years ago after I moved to the Bay Area.
First and foremost:
1. Cut and Color — Jenn is AMAZING!!! I love what she does to my hair, and it always grows out even cuter.
2. Facial and waxing — Milana is also AMAZING! I love getting pampered with a facial and waxing the eyebrows is a MUST!
3. Manicure/​Pedicure — Ahn does a great job and it is very relaxing. I opted for the gel and the manicure actually lasted past one day! In fact, it lasted over a week. The pedicure lasted a very long time, too. No chipping or cracking.
****Last, but not least! My wedding! Jenn did an incredible job on my makeup and hair for my wedding. I have never looked so glamorous, but still looked like myself. She spent so much time before the wedding talking about hairstyles, and took time out of her schedule to practice working on the hairstyle I wanted. I will forever cherish my wedding pictures and album and I can never be thankful enough about how awesome I looked because of her!

Jenn is the best and I’ve been all around the valley w/​hair stylists I ought to know!
First of all, I’ve been going to silicon valley hair stylists since 1988 from Sunnyvale to San Martin (I live in Morgan Hill). I work in high tech and by now, I’m not so young, so professional, age appropriate, attractive style (and now color is a MUST) are essential. I’m not a natural artist, and I need a style that also looks good when I do it.
I have been going to Paisleys’ for nearly 10 years and until Jenn completed her training always went to Rose. I began going to Rose because a dear friend of mine, also in her 40’s raved about her and it showed in her gorgeous hair. No question, Rose is a gifted artist and offers her opinion based on your requirements and goals for your hair.
However, I always have enjoyed Jenn’s outlook on life back from when she was in school and the salon scheduler/​support person. She is 20 years younger than me but so wise, kind and funny– I never felt uncomfortable speaking to her. She also is very stylish and well appointed physically and I really appreciate that because as I age and wear some non-​standard sizes, I admire and have often asked her advice on makeup and clothing.
I began going to Jenn because it was sometimes easier than fitting into Rose’s schedule and Rose always encourages her newer stylists to develop their clientele accordingly I notice.
I couldn’t be happier. She’s been doing my hair for 2 straight years and the color is so natural and beautiful and perfect for my age and lifestyle. I always get compliments on the cut– I barely need to ask her what to do and if I have a special request (more of this, less of that, tired of fill in the blank) she advises as expertly and confidently as Rose (with considerably more experience) does.
I know everyone has a bad day, and I am not saying someone couldn’t have had a bad experience, even with someone as even tempered and pleasant as Jenn, but i just don’t understand how that can be. I literally look forward to my appointments not only for the tender loving care and expert guidance I receive but because I genuinely have come to think of Jenn as I do a close friend or family member. To say that she is rough is unthinkable. I can’t even think of a time when Jenn failed to offer me something to eat or drink, and do everything in her power to make me comfortable while I sat there waiting for the color to set appropriately.
All I ever worry about is that Jenn will move away– I can’t believe my good fortune to have her as a stylist. She understands color and all its complexities and subtleties as well as hair products and makeup. I love the fact that she’s younger than me and can only hope that she’ll stay in the silicon valley so I can have the privilege of her work as long as I am breathing.
