Pick of the Patch Pumpkins & ABC Tree Farms

Have been buying my tree here for years. Same great service from a gentlemen named Rigo.
He’s super fast and efficient. Trims the tree, places it in a stand for me and loads it into the car. The whole process takes less than 10 minutes. Great guy. Great service. I’ll see him again next year.

Dropped by ABC Trees at 605 Blossom Hill, San Jose looking for a flocked 10 ft. Nobel under $ 200.00 delivered. Found a pretty nice one at $ 140.00 with a water base and delivery. Service was pretty good and the delivery was set up a couple of days later on a Saturday with a window between 10a — 12p. Well, 12:30p came around and no tree. Found their phone number online, called only to get voicemail, left a message, waited about one hour, became impatient and drove back to the tree lot. I found that the online phone number goes to their headquarters in the mid-​west somewhere. Lesson learned, if you’re expecting a delivery get a local number (someone at the tree farm itself).
Once at the tree farm I found that they simply missed my tree and never loaded on the delivery truck. Now, here’s where things get better. They took immediate responsibility with no excuses, refunded my delivery cost without me asking and delivered it within 30 minutes. Impressive… We all know things get screwed up, none of us like it, but it is what it is. What’s important to me is how the screw up is resolved. I’ll be back next year as will several of my employees because they have excellent customer service along with good pricing.

Came here around 5 and there was only one man working (Rigo). He was super busy but damn he was fast to get us our tree and worked on our tree simultaneously with the others. He even hooked it up to our car! I highly recommend coming here, Rigo was amazing and took care of all of our needs! Thank you!

We will never return here for a Christmas Tree! Our usual place Giordanos on Snell in between Branham and Blossom Hill closed my husband has been getting his trees there since he was child … because of this we had to go elsewhere, which brought us to this location. They had a good selection of trees and are reasonably priced hence the 3 stars. Once we picked our tree and paid it all went down hill. The kid who helped us took forever to do a fresh cut on bottom of the tree and attach the stand (which we had to purchase from them since they could not use what we brought with us). He put 2 different stands on the tree before a more experienced person came and helped him with the 3^rd, let me mention 6 trees had gone out in the time it took him to do this. The last stand was put on it and loaded in our truck we get it home and it’s leaning we’ve tried to straighten it out with no success we even called the number listed here the answering machine says your call will be returned the next day. We left a message and have yet to hear back from anyone. We now have an undecorated leaning tree in our living room. Photos attached

Great service! Once I picked out my tree, I was helped right away. Made sure I had everything I needed. A little confused on the labeling but all the trees were beautiful. I didn’t see one that was undesirable!

My niece had her birthday party here today. I must say it’s pretty good. The kids in our party had a wonderful time bouncing and sliding around. We weren’t walking on dirt so that was a plus but of course it’s not the actual experience of a patch. However, I think the only thing that bothered me was the security. The kids would walk off and I had to keep following them around afraid someone might snatch them away. The party area was covered and plenty of parking.
Overall it was great! The pumpkins were expensive so we will just buy ours at Safeway. Hehehe.

My son had a great time here! It is a small pumpkin patch but was clean, organized, had a great selection of pumpkins, staff were friendly and my 4 y.o. loved the bounce houses!

This lot was small and didn’t a lot to choose from. I wanted to ask for the prices, but workers wasn’t around to ask.

I was impressed with his Christmas tree lot because of the service the employees who greeted us were incredibly kind and welcoming. The trees are all lined up nicely and most of them have been unwrapped so you did not need to go through and unwrap them yourself. They had signs posted regarding height and how much the tree would be based on the height but there were no signs posted around the trees telling you what size section you were in. Many of the trees also did not have personal tags on them so you were guessing as to how tall and how expensive the tree was. There were also no signs telling you what type of tree you were looking at. Despite the lack of signage the trees are absolutely beautiful from the smallest ones all the way to the tallest ones. They are happy to put a stand on your tree for you as well as secure it to your car. The lot was clean and played wonderful Christmas music! I highly recommend for a festive, fun tree picking experience!

This is a great place to take the family. We have been coming for 3 – 4 years and we just love Jessica, she is so friendly and always has a big smile. She is great with the kids, my son loves this place, especially because they have that Tiger slide, his favorite animal. We get our Christmas trees here too. They always have the right pumpkin and the right tree. Go enjoy the good fun and friendly atmosphere.

The staff is super friendly, the pumpkins and attractions are fairly priced, the lot is clean, and the location is convenient with plenty of parking. Jess is amazing. I’ve purchased my pumpkins from her the past 4 years and will continue to go back each year. Great service!

The staff are rude and not helpful at all. You are running a retail business and should provide the customer services we needed.
I would have given this place a ZERO rating. Never will come to this place and would never recommend any one to come here.

This Pumpkin Patch is located in a fenced in area in the southeast corner of the Blossom Hill VTA Park & Ride parking lot. We drive by it on the way home everyday and of course we had to check it out. So we set up a play date with some friends to meet up and see what’s doing. My 3-​year-​old and I arrived early –because that’s how we roll– and we decided to head in before our friends arrived to check it out. Here’s the goods:
–Value: The prices seem a little steep for what it is: $ 9 for 30-​minutes and $ 13 for 1-​hour; the website claims that there is a $ 25-​all day option but the signs at the location didn’t show that option. I kind of doubt anybody would go for that option anyway the place is hardly big enough to stay «All Day». We chose the 1-​hour option and I think that’s just right. 3*
–Attractions: There are a total of 3 Bouncy Houses; 1 giant T-​Rex maze thingy that was just a little too difficult for a toddler to navigate; a huge Sabre-​Toothed Tiger Slide; and some John Deere battery-​powered cars that the kids can ride. I’m not sure what the deal was with the cars. There were no batteries hooked up so they didn’t work unless the kids were pushed by an adult which seems a little silly, and like a lot of work, to me but I did it anyways because it’s what I do. There’s also some pumpkins that I guess you can purchase and some other Halloween-​type paraphernalia up at the pay booth but we didn’t come here for that. So as you can see, not a whole lot to choose from here but –other than the cars– what is here is pretty good quality. 3.5*
–Fun Factor: As I stated before my son and I went in alone at first and there were only a few kids in there none of which were his age. He was having a pretty good time running around checking everything out. The real fun began when our friends arrived; it went from cocktail party fun to LMFAO party fun in a matter of seconds! They had a blast chasing each other around, going down the slides and getting pushed around in the cars. The big attraction though is the Sabre-​Toothed Tiger Slide; that thing is pretty fantastic. It is a bit much for younger kids to be able to navigate up to the top though but we asked the attendant and he said it was cool (I hope I’m not getting anyone in trouble!) if we carried the kids up there ourselves. That in itself is quite a trek, my friends. Imagine carrying a 40-​lb toddler up a huge inflatable tiger with «stairs» that got increasingly steeper the further you went up. It’s a good thing I’m in decent shape because it was quite a workout but the payoff at the end was well worth it. It’s pretty amazing how fast you can go down that thing. After doing it a couple of times my son was over it (thank goodness!) because I think it was a bit intense for him. 5*
This is a pretty cool little spot to bring the kids especially if you’re already going to be there for one of the other events (e.g., Farmer’s Market, Moveable Feast) they have in that parking lot. I think they could bring the price down a little to make the parents happier, but it’s hard to kvetch over such a small amount of money. I would highly recommend coming here with other kids on a play date, or at a time when you see other children there, because the fun factor increases tremendously for the kids. I think we’ll be back at least once more because, as my son so eloquently put it, «That was a big fun!»
