So I actually am very pleased to say that I used Ruben Carpet cleaning before he was so popular.
Now it is harder to book an appointment with him on a weekend but he gave me a weekday for the same week and even accommodated to my work schedule and came in later in the day. :-) He is very considerate.
Ruben cleaned my carpet again removing (makeup and oil from the carpet) removing all stains successfully even in high traffic areas like my stairs. He leaft them pearly white. Seriously this guy has increased the life expectancy of my carpet LOL
and since I trusted him with my carpet I tested him to clean my Z Gallerie Sofa. I will admit, allowing him to clean my couch /​sofa (what’s it called these days) made me a tad nervous. Especially because I am not bragging but anyone who has purchased Z Gallerie furniture will know that they are delicate and run quite expensive (2,000+). I told him my concerns, he saw the stains I wanted removed which was a chocolate ice cream stain and another pen stain both tiny but completely noticeable since they are Ivory in color.
He then told me, «let me see what I can do». He went back to his truck, and this time came in with a special bush hose specifically for delicate upholstery. This method used almost no water, it was almost like a steam clean or dry clean but for sofas. He turned the machine to it’s higher setting of suction with steam and bualah! Stains on a very delicate ivory sofa were coming out but using a very gentle method not damaging at all.
He then left me a dryer and placed it quite close so that water humidity was left would be left completely dry. I can keep going on and on about how pleased I was. But I will just let you see the pictures of my sofa. I think a photograph speaks for itself.
ZGallerie Sofa cleaned was a success. I will not trust anyone else to clean my expensive furniture now. I will also make sure my guests don’t eat in my living room any more even though they’re adults. You can’t trust them either ;-)

Ruben is very professional and has a great love for the work he performs. He did an excellent job and is very respectful to the customers. He even prepared shoe wraps/​covers when he entered the house. I love the way he cleaned the carpet with care and the way he treated his customers. Thank you, Ruben!

I am amazed by the service that Ruben has provided. I got a Groupon, but I checked the reviews first. All of the positive reviews were accurate! He is the nicest guy ever, and he has a great love and respect for teachers, firefighters, police etc. I am a teacher and he made sure to both work with my schedule and help me out in my problem pet areas for very little extra charge. He even helped me with an area rug that my cat had puked on!
My place looks new again, and you can be sure that next time I need my carpets cleaned I will be calling Ruben (I even saved his number in my phone to be sure!!). I can’t recommend him more highly.

Purchased the coupon on Groupon and «I READ THE FINE PRINT». Called the guy to schedule an appointment and he wanted to come in Monday — Thursday morning to clean the carpets. yes. They clean in the morning on a weekday when your office is open!
First time I called, they were driving and said that they would call back. After waiting for a day, I called and same story.
The work quality is below average and this is not a replaceable company to work with. The reviews here are all clearly manipulated.
Short story — Not cheap, not reliable and poor quality

Thank you Ruben for doing such an amazing job! I purchased a groupon for Ruben Carpet Cleaning and added an additional service for detergent. My carpet smells and looks spotless. I will definitely be calling in for another service in 6 – 8 months.

We have had other carpet cleaning services here over the years with armies of people who have charged us an arm and a leg, and none of them have come close to what Ruben did by himself in just over an hour. Ruben knows carpet cleaning! He did it quickly, professionally, and the result is awesome. This will be the first service we use more than once. The equipment and techniques he uses are far better than the ones used by other carpet cleaning services. We can’t wait to have him back here again!

My friend told me when she got her carpet cleaned that Ruben did such an amazing job and that Ruben provided carpet cleaning service to the other tenants living at our complex they all gave him a 5 star. So I called him right away and he made my carpet look like new :)

Just had my carpet cleaned by Ruben. The result was beautiful and the service exceeded my expectations.
Ruben’s service is not cheap. I purchased a groupon service for $ 87 and ended up paying another $ 150 for detergent (per room), stairs, hallway, etc. Overall it turned out to be more expensive than Stanley steamer, which I had 2 years ago.
That said, quality of service, compared to stanley, was night and day. my 10-​year carpet (with large dogs) looked almost new, and I couldn’t say the same, 2 years ago after stanley steamer cleaned it. those tough stains stanley guys told me «there was nothing they or anyone can do», well, were gone for the most parts after Ruben’s cleaning. I told Ruben, after seeing what he did, that I would never go back to Stanley steamer, to have some young hourly temp worker, clocking in and out, paying little to no attention on what he was doing.

Ruben took his time, sprayed 2 different kind of detergent in high traffic areas, asked for more lighting in nearly every room so he can better see stains, changed machines for tougher stains (one of them was gigantic), took almost 2 hours, to thoroughly clean my 1800 sqft home (2 stories). after seeing the transformation, I did not bargain for the payment, even though he hinted there was room. I feel the guy deserved every $ he asked for, if not more.

Reuben was great!
He came in at last minute and took care of my carpets right before Christmas. He performed an excellent job and exceeded my expectations. As professional as they come, I’m going to definitely use him next time!

Let’s start off to say that Ruben was here on time and went straight to work. He put corners out to protect the walls, he wore the shoe protectors while he worked. He has a great attitude and encourages you to look over his shoulder to make sure the job is done right to you’re satisfaction. He told me that he’s going to be shampoo the carpets in your car starting in summer 2016. I RECOMMEND Ruben for all my carpets cleaning from this point on.

Ruben’s work is amazing. From the moment we called, Ruben exhibited traits of the best craftsmen ie: professionalism, dependability and trustworthiness.
Our carpets were 8 years old, and never cleaned professionally. Before calling Ruben, my wife and I were considering replacing them, something would have set us back $ 2500. Luckily we decided to have them deep cleaned by Ruben
On the date of our appointment Ruben arrived on time and well-​prepared. He was super gentle: wearing shoe covers, using wall protections (not to knock down our wall corners by his equipment), and extremely careful.
With no hesitation I would use Ruben again.

On time, completed the job on time. Work was great. All the stains are gone and we have two small kids so had lots of stains in the carpet to begin with.

Hands down one of the most professional vendors I’ve ever worked with — Ruben is truly a man of his word and does everything he possibly can to ensure the job is done right and that the customer is happy.
He has the most heavy duty, high tech equipment I’ve seen for carpet cleaning & takes great pride in explaining every part of the carpet cleaning process… even to my very inquisitive children who had tons of questions! He and his colleague were very patient and kind, yet worked quickly and efficiently.
Our front bedroom was done by a rented carpet cleaner before they came and even then, the difference after was remarkable! There were a couple of stains I was uncertain could be removed, but so far — the carpet looks FANTASTIC!
Pros: extremely professional, high grade equipment, brought disposable sliders to help us with moving furniture (and save us $ so we could return the ones we purchased), extremely reasonable pricing, customer satisfaction guaranteed!
Cons: couldn’t really think of any… Except maybe, wish they served the entire Bay Area so that everyone could enjoy their services!
Overall, I would recommend this carpet cleaning business to EVERYONE. You can tell that Ruben is a man of great integrity & truly believes in providing excellent customer service.

Its been about 3 months since Ruben came in and cleaned our carpets. We have four cats and 1 dog, and the carpets still look and smell clean. He was friendly, professional, efficient, fair, and obviously did a stellar job!

Ruben is absolutely fantastic! He showed up early. The carpets were WHITE (who does that). Stains everywhere. He quoted me a price when I first called and stuck to it. ITS SOOOO CLEAN!!! He walked me around showed me where the trouble areas were, where it might not come out (even though it did). Very professional. Amazing at his job. Totally earned all five stars and then some.

Between the Unilocal reviews and a Groupon, I figured why not?
Ruben did a fantastic job on my 2 story house. He took his time and was very professional, even showing me how the system worked and extracted the water. He even did my dining room chairs, even though I didn’t mention that when I made the appointment.
His prices are phenomenal, even without the Groupon.
I will be calling him once a year to clean my carpets.

Before moving into a new place, I wanted to get the carpet steamed for a sense of comfort. Called for a last minute appointment and was able to be squeezed in the very next day.
Ruben, the owner, first started by providing me with shoe covers so that I could keep the carpet clean as I inspected them. He also wore them as he worked. He later brought in wall shields to protect all the corners where the hose would run through the house so they would not scrape the walls. I was very impressed at his attention for detail and respect for my house.
The 3 bedroom, hallway, and stairs took 1.5 hours as promised. The rate was also exactly as quoted on the phone. Through the whole process, Ruben informed me of what he was doing and was very friendly and professional.
