The people talking negatively on this post are either new to the legal industry and have no experience or is competition of S&R. I have been working with S&R for 8 years. The people working here are flawless and true professionals. There isn’t one person who works here who doesn’t know how to get the job done. To the contrary, they execute perfectly and should be a diamond standard of what the attorney service business is. Thank you S&R for the 8 years of perfect service. Cheers to many more years!

I should of read their reviews!!! I just recently used them to serve the defendant and they had asked me to write instructions regarding the best times and days to reach the person… Well they never really followed the instructions, the defendant was never served. And the 5 attepts have been made. So pist, worst service! I also had to call several times to follow up because they never notified me of any attemp

S&R sent me an unsolicited letter after I filed a small claims case at the San Jose Superior courthouse. Am I ever glad they did. I called them to help get a subpoena from the Bureau of Auto Repair — through the Department of Consumer Affairs. They were exceedingly helpful and the price I paid literally couldn’t be beat. They didn’t charge me anything! (Probably because I mentioned I am a Chicago firefighter and paramedic.) Phil was very helpful, and I actually asked him to charge me. He said he was going to the courthouse anyway, he would have them stamp it, and then he faxed the form to the BAR for me. I stopped by after he court case, and I was late for my flight. His office called a cab for me, and Phil said, if the cab didn’t come by 4:30, he would give me a ride to the airport! I was taken aback. He’s probably one of the nicest guys I have ever met.
I can’t recommend them enough. I wish I had used them to serve my case. I was almost certainly over charged my the company I found through a Google search. They said it would be $ 40, but «highly recommended» their «certified» and «immediate» service. It wound up costing me $ 100.
If I ever get back to San Jose, I will certainly sen them my business. Good luck!

Very unprofessional group. Rob and Vicky and there receptionist have NO clue what is going on. They had me fill out paperwork and Fedex it to them then Vicky did not show up for a week to work and they did not process the paperwork. It has been 10 days and nothing has gotten done. DO NOT USE these guys!

Good fast service. They can get all the info by pdf too. Faxes are so old school. I use them on a regular basis.

I use this company routinely for two of my businesses — paralegal and legal document assistant. They are one of the few companies in the Bay Area that works with non-​attorneys. Since many of my clients are representing themselves, S&R has been my go-​to company. They are awesome. They are efficient, timely, the prices are competitive, and they stay in good touch with me throughout the duration of the project. Look no further for your SOP needs!

Reliable service. Remember if you want it fast, make sure to check the service you order. I routinely use S&R.

I believe this company is a very good to do business with. Recently, I had to serve some documents to an individual I was taking to small claims court. The day after the paperwork was processed, the serving documents were delievered. The service was fast and efficient. Definately will use them again or recommend them to anyone.

I’m not sure what the other two reviewers are complaining about. I had to serve a therapist for a court date because he put me through something called «active family therapy» without my consent, and turned my life upside down, including, but not limited to, emulating a variety of symptoms for mental disorders to satisfy his own sick and twisted curiosity.
Ergo, I took him to court, and used S&R to deliver the summons. The worst thing that happened was that said therapist had moved (allegedly), so I had to find a new address for him, otherwise file a due diligance and hope that my trial went well.
The trial, I thought initially, had gone okay, but I am still under this man’s scrutiny, and am now tempted to escalate action by going to a higher court.
S&R did their job. I had one message that wasn’t returned after the weekend, but that was because it was a three day holiday.
They were professional enough for me, if somewhat no-​nonsense, which I actually prefer.

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! Takes an act of God for anyone to return a message. You may be lucky to have 1 out of 10 msgs returned and then when they do they are incredibly unhelpful. Rude and disrespectful. Would never recommend.

SLOW. FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE.
According to their website, «routine business services are generally completed in 3 business days». However, they only attempted one delivery and only after 5 (FIVE) business days from receiving the copies of summons/​complaint.
The delivery has not been completed even though the defendants should be very easy to locate.
Very frustrating experience for a time sensitive issue. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
