Sherlock Surveillance

Asked for a quote and didn’t receive one. Sent a follow up message and they said it would take a day. They called me the next day and asked for my email. Still didn’t get a quote. It’s been a week and I haven’t heard from anyone. Quite honestly I don’t want to hear from them at this point. I was also told I would need to pay $ 150 for someone to come look at my place (Uh, no thanks). I don’t even want to think about what the actual install cost would be given the mandatory $ 150 consultation.
Pass.

I am pretty picky when it comes to home wiring so I generally find it hard to find great installers. However, Sherlock did a fantastic job on my home security project. I had a 4 camera and 3 data wall outlets job for my house and they were able to complete it exactly the way I wanted it. Claudia, their sales rep is very responsive and quick to reply. One of the things I love about Sherlock is they are flexible with materials. I choose to provide my own cables since I wanted to use CAT6A and my lockbox. Sherlock is also able to install cameras that you buy which is quite rare to find.
For the site visit, Ilad was very knowledge and friendly and made sure job was going to be done right. He came on the first day to check and verify things before the work began.
The technicians Edgar & Alex were very friendly and hard working. The job took a day longer than estimated but they were able to finish everything. They came early in the morning and left after sunset. In the end I got everything running smoothly. Now I’m enjoying my super fast home network & high quality security cameras. I would highly recommend Sherlock to others looking to get professionally installed security systems or home network setup.

Dont know how they get so many good stars. CAlled them up after a burglary and spoke to woman about getting 8 cameras. She never called me back. So a few days I called again and she said she would send out a qoute. Still did not, only the thrid time did she sent out a qoute and it was so high I didnt want it. and it was for 7 cameras only. I asked her why was it so high and she said they could drop it down to about 1.3 megapixel to make it cheaper and I said no, I want quality not cheap stuff. So I ended up going with California Security Cameras, cheaper and they respond promptly.
Another thing about this service is this, they refused to come to my house to see the layout and to see how many cameras I would need or where to place them. I asked the woman how would she know how to place cameras at my property before hand and if I had obstructions in the way, she said she just uses Google Maps? If someone came out to my property to estimate it, it would cost me $ 150.00 which I though was totally wrong. Good thing I did not go with them.

Josh, Alex, Ilan did a fantastic job of the installation of 7 cameras, dvr setup and demo in 8 hours. They came on time and finished earlier than the estimated time. They were very thorough and the work is clean. They patiently explained all queries. Claudia was very quick in responding to all queries and scheduling the installation date. I would highly recommend them for surveillance needs in South Bay.

We hired Sherlock Surveillance for our home security project. Claudia responded to my initial request quickly on a Sunday morning, and gave me a quote the next day. She was very patient and answered all my questions regarding the cameras they supply and installation.
Josh and Derek did a fantastic job for the installation and testing the system, Ilan was on site on the first day to make sure everything run well. Since they worked on the wires in the attic, I smelled dust and some weird stuff once AC was on, they were able to come out the next day to re-​check everything and assured me nothing was wrong. They also adjusted one of the cameras to avoid the nigh vision glare.
Paul was patient and nice and he gave me a detailed walkthrough on the NVR setup. Some of our cameras didn’t record, after I reached out to the support, Ilan and Paul both replied and troubleshooted the issues remotely.
We have our system for about a week now and we couldn’t be happier. The quality of the image is awesome and the night vision works great!

Sherlock Surveillance did our home security camera system and we couldn’t be happier. From the first exploratory phone call, Ilan was knowledgeable, friendly and had a calming about him that put me at ease (I was on the hunt for cameras due to increased burglaries in my neighborhood so I was scared!). I did explore a few other companies and found that their pricing was comparable to others, but I felt they would do the best overall job in terms of a clean install, not hacking up our house, and customer service when I have questions or need help.
The install took 2 days and the team was great. Friendly, polite, communicative and worked hard. And, they were so careful with our house (my husband is very particular about «hack jobs»). The end result is a surveillance system that I can use on any device and the overall feeling of safety.
Also worth mentioning — Post-​service is great. I really wanted a front-​yard sign to post and Ilan had one created and delivered to me based on my request. I’ve had some questions about how to save a video clip or connect another device and within a few hours I heard back from someone who can help. Really happy!

After a lot of research, I chose Sherlock Surveillance to install my security system for home. I’m very particular about technicians and other workers coming in to my home and I found Ilam extremely easy to work with, knowledgable and a thoughtful, respectful person. He and his team worked efficiently, were responsive to my many questions and requests and did a thorough job installing four cameras, running loads of wire cleanly and setting up multiple online stations. I especially appreciate him following up the next day making sure everything was working and up to my expectations. Great customer-​service. Called Sherlock for an estimate for a security camera installation.
Initially they seemed pretty proactive. Took some info to understand my needs and then said they’d send me a preliminary estimate in the next day or so. Their engineer was out but would get back to me the following week to confirm the estimate.
Two weeks passed and didn’t get an email or a call back. Ended up calling Sherlock back and though they somewhat recalled the original conversation, couldn’t find my information. She said it was so hard to keep track of everyone. She asked if I could give her my info again, I passed. If they can’t keep contact info straight, I’d be a little concerned about the rest of their business practices. They didn’t seem too worried about losing potential customers.

Called for a quote. Unfriendly service. Pricing too high for home project.

Sherlock Surveillance did a superb job installing the surveillance system for our house.
Our next door neighbor recommended Sherlock very highly to us. At first my husband wanted me to talk to a few more companies so we could compare equipments and price. But after talking to Sherlock Surveillance, I had good feelings about them. So we decided to go with them.
It took a day to set up the system. The crew that did the work were very pleasant. They explained the details to us before the installation and also worked around the little changes we requested.
Now this system is up and running — very smooth. Camera images are excellent. Ilan did a good job explaining to us how to use this system.

I am your typical business, you call up the surveillance company after you have been hit. Ouch. Well, I made the right decision here. I called a friend of mine who used Sherlock Surveillance and he had nothing but great things to say about the company. I am in full agreement with the rest of the Unilocalers, the company was organized, punctual, professional and gave me 100% confidence that I made the right call. And, they were very nice people, from the Jacob at the top to the rest of the team. My installer, Fernando, was easy to work with, patient and ready to answer any questions I had. If you are thinking of installing a surveillance system, call Sherlock now, don’t wait like I did.

I had a great experience Sherlock Surveillance. They did solid quality work and went above and beyond in their dedication and helpfulness. The project took much longer than anticipated and they stuck around 4 extra hours getting everything set up. They installed conduits for all the cameras which added a lot of complexity over their original quote, but the final price stayed the same. The owner Elon was really helpful getting the monitoring set up and even helped me with a tricky issue with a nanny cam in the house that I couldn’t access outside my home network. Everything was fully cleaned up when they left and has worked real well over the last week. The price seemed reasonable and seemed like an even better value after I saw all the work they had to do.

I have recently used Sherlock Surveillance for a project that we are about to finish and can’t say better things about their service and follow up.
I am impressed all of the things that you can now do in order to protect your business and have a way to see it remotely. Ilan, not only guided us through all of the options but worked with us on the best way to get what we wanted but meet our budget. The level of professionalism during installment and follow up to make sure things continue to work the way that we expected was incredible. Could not recommend them enough.
