My father has been a patient of Dr. Tran for many years, and many other family members have gone to him.
Every time I come in I am greeted with friendly staff that will always try to accommodate my needs. Although sometimes the wait time can be long, I really do like going to Dr.Tran. He always asks «hey how are you? how is your father? etc.» The office is always very tidy and nicely decorated compared to other offices I’ve been to.
I also like how the office is very tech savvy, I can go online through patient portal and check my next appointment, medications, labs and etc! so much more convenient then having to call
I have eczema and asthma and he is always giving me samples of different lotions or medication that he receives from companies to try out.
He genuinely cares for my family and I, I don’t understand why he has so many bad reviews… I have recommended family and friends to come here and they all seem to like Dr. Tran very well.

****Every time I walked into this office, I am greeted with friendly faces and staff being attentive. I have worked with Dr. Tran for many years and he have been taking great care of my patients. Dr. Tran listens and empathizes to his patients and families. He has been a great medical mentor and treat you like family. I have been going to Dr. Tran’s office for about a year. I recently made my annual check up appointment. I was assigned to the nurse practitioner, Mylinh, i really liked her! She was nice, very professional, and seemed to care about her patients. I noticed my appointment was not rushed. She took the time to address all my concerns and she went over the blood results explaining every details with me. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a Dr’s office and seen someone whom takes the time and really care about the patients. I think for this particular reason, I will still continue to go to Dr. Tran’s office just to see Mylinh and also the reason why i am giving this review a 5 stars :).

I’ve been going here to see Dr. Tran since my friend referred me a few years back. I love how easy it is to schedule an appt with them and they’re always ready for you when you arrive. Unlike other offices, even with an appt they still make u wait. Another bonus is that all their staff are good looking! Makes u feel better just seeing their beautiful faces About the doctor: Dr. Tran is sudown to earth and so easy to talk to. I don’t feel awkward or held back when I see him. I’ve been referring all my family and friends to switch over to his office!

Okay, well I was just at the office and let me tell you what a horrible experience it was. I arrived on time for my appointment and had to wait close to an hour and half. When I went in to get checked by Dr Tran he did not give 2 shits about me while I was in pain. I do not even go on Unilocal but I had to make one to let ppl know to STAY AWAY!!! This doctor does not care about patients. What I also know is that many of the five stars on Unilocal are his and his wife’s close friends and of their workers that they ask for reviews of because of such terrible service they give to boost their score. If you want a reliable REAL doctor who cares about you and your health. This is not it!!! Would not stop looking at my tits while I was in pain. DISGUSTING!!!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Tran since 2005 and have since brought my daughter into see him for various reasons. Dr. Tran is very attentive to my needs as well as my family. I would highly recommend him to my friends and family.

Most Doctors don’t remember your name. Dr. Tran not only remember you by your first name but also very attentive. My experience with Dr. Tran’s office has always positive. The office is conveniently located on Capitol Expressway near Target. Plenty of parking spaces.
My appointment was at 9:45 a.m. I was quickly check-​in with in 15 minutes. The office was very cordial. I am really glad that Dr. Tran is my primary care physician. I highly recommend him to my family and friends.

Like other bad reviews I would give 0 stars if I could. Called three times to incur a doctors note for work. Was told that he was at jury duty and would get a call back the next day which would’ve been last Wednesday. It is now Tuesday and no such call was received. Do you even care about your patients? I never called again because I got fed up.
UPDATE: I recently suffered a work related injury and was seeking a doctors note to claim disability. In order to do this I must provide a written explanation from my doctor to provide my employer. Unfortunately (Dr.) Tran’s (or whoever wrote the note for him) vocabulary barley exceeds that of a 7^th graders and is hardly legible… here is a tiny excerpt from the note where he tries to explain the cause of my injury for your reading enjoyment: «This may because she was long-​time which was in has to carry heavy tray.» what does that even mean?! I thought they were unprofessional before but this takes it to the next level… AVOID THIS PRACTICE AT ALL COSTS! it is in your best interest to travel a little farther to see someone who knows what they are talking about…
PS when i came pick up the papers, the receptionist boss lady has the nerve to comment on my Unilocal review saying she doesn’t appreciate my Unilocal review. Sorry not sorry i am going to warn others about the shady business being done here. She explained that the doctor was on jury duty, which i understood and was patient about, because i understand everyone gets a handful at times. But after two/​three calls she assured me that she left a note on his desk and would address it first thing in the morning and give me a call. When i pointed that out to her, she kept saying that doctor has been busy all week out on jury duty, noted… I again said i gave them plenty of time before writing my review, and the office simply could’ve called back saying that the doctor was busy instead of no call no update for me. She ended the rant with me saying «God Bless You», i am quite offended as you may or may not see why.
If this isn’t enough, Dr. Thang told me he doesn’t fill out disability for whatever reason, and i respect that. Yet I repeatedly asked him if he could refer me to another doctor who does, he told me he doesn’t know anyone who fills out disability forms. Later on the papers i asked, which are summaries of my visits. It states that he referred me to Dr. Rosen, whose name I have never heard in my life, this is pretty alarming. The notes i received are pretty useless to me because the grammar is immensely affecting its content.

My dad passed away on March 24, 2015. Dr. Tran never reached out to my Father in his last 5 months of life.

If I can give this place negative stars, I WOULD! My relative goes here and he is a diabetic patient. As you may know diabetic patients tend to get cuts and infections on their hands and body, and their wounds cannot be heal easily like healthy people. My relative got an infection, and his hand was swollen real bad so he called the office for an appointment. The receptionists were rude and uncaring to his needs. They said call back in a few days. Like seriously? You want to wait till his whole hand get infected and then have to be chop off? My uncle also goes here and he has been coughing for months! The doctor told him he GIVE UP and doesn’t know how to treat it after 2 – 3 visits! What kind of doctor GIVES UP on their patient? The IRRESPONSIBLE AND UNSYMPATHETIC ONE, I TELL YOU! I don’t know how he got his doctor degree, but I can tell you he doesn’t DESERVE to be one! Anyways, one of the receptionist is the doctor’s wife and another woman name Trinh are the rudest one there! Overall, scheduling is a pain, and doctor and receptionists are NOT compassionate and kind people. Bottom line is, THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS!
To clarify the bottom review, both my uncle and relative goes to this doctor for more than 8 years!
They had problems with this doctor before, but because he was their regular doctor, they want to stick by him. However, their last experiences with this doctor were the last straw so they called it quit and changed doctor.
Doctors are humans, then they should act like humans at least!

NO GOOD
I had a visit at the office for a prescription of medication ive been taking consistently for 8 years. I asked the nurse practitioner upon the visit if she would be able to write 3 months worth of prescriptions for the drug. She said that was fine, she would write one on the spot, but that I would have to come into the office to pickup other 2 scripts in a month. I can say I liked the nurse practitioner and feel that she was very good.
A month later Dr Tran overrides her and says they will not be writing the script. Seriously, Ive been on the script for 8 years, I doubt he even referenced the chart before making that decision. Poor form, I needed this med, I don’t function well without it.
Also, I had to call four times just so the clerical staff would give the message to the np/​dr. Then, they failed to call me back after they got the communication from the Dr. Very disorganized, poor follow through.
In life, One should do what they say they will do. That is not the case with this medical office.

If I can give a 0 star I would. My uncle has been complaining to this guy for 8 months about stomach pains and yet he still doesn’t refer out. Only when my uncle screamed at him did he refer out to specialist. It is obvious that he just wanted to keep my uncle at his practice to collect insurance money. GREEDY Dr. that doesn’t care about his patients just his pockets. A good doctor always knows when to refer out… if after month and the pain gets worse, then you should investigate what the problem is instead of giving another antibiotic prescription. Long story short.8 months. prognosis TERMINAL CANCER… started in stomach which is highly curable through surgery. now after 8 months it has spread to the liver and no cure. By the way does anyone notice that the positive reviews on Unilocal are from females? Maybe if my uncle was a young female then it would be a different story. A QUACK! his MD degee stands for MURDEROUS DOCTOR!

HORRIBLE. Doctor who does the bare minimum for his patients. If a person comes to a Doctor multiple times complaining about the SAME STOMACH PAIN over and over again, it should be clear that whatever you thought he was suffering from is not it and the treatment you provided is NOT working ! Therefore, as a Doctor, YOU SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
GUESS WHAT? This Doctor’s negligence led to TERMINAL CANCER!

Dr. Tran is a wonderful doctor. He is humble, caring and very amicable. The front desk staff is also very approachable and caring as well! Such nice, sweet people and will definitely make your visit worth while. I definitely look forward to my next appointment.

I had been having a sore throat and dry cough for about a week. The cough kept getting worse and worse. I tried to drink warm water with honey and lemon but that didn’t help much. I took DayQuil, NyQuil, Robitussin, Delsym but none seemed to do anything besides making me drowsy. Out of exasperation, I called Dr. Thang Tran late in the evening, after his office has closed. He didn’t seem to mind; he offered to call in a prescription to my pharmacy. All I needed to do was to go to that pharmacy and pick up that medicine. Oh my God, that thing worked like a miracle: just 5 mL (one tea spoon) and all my coughing was gone. I actually slept well for a change. I’m so thankful for the good doctor.
Now, I have been going to this doctor for nearly 10 years. Before that, I’ve seen many different doctors and specialists. Dr. Thang Tran is hand down the most genuine, caring, attentive MD that I have ever met. And believe me, I’ve met my fair share of them (well, I’m not exactly a model of health and wellness — you know what I mean). He always takes the time to talk and listen to me. He never rushed me or acted all conceited and superior (like yeah, I’m a freaking doctor, you know!) He’s also very thorough. A few years ago, he pressed me to take some blood tests (I didn’t want to, thinking I was OK and didn’t need them). Thanks to those tests, we found out early that I had Hepatitis C, so I got the treatment and rid of the virus.
It’s true that his receptionist can sound rough sometimes. But because I’ve been to this office so long I realize that she’s truly quite nice and sweet; she just doesn’t talk so nicely. I don’t have any problems with her at all. In fact, I’ve dealt with too many receptionists and/​or medical assistants who were far worse.
I read all the earlier comments here. I’ve got to say that the person who said the doctor just cared about money is totally full of it. While many other doctors out there schedule their patients just a few minutes apart, don’t even have time to make I contact when they see you, Dr. Thang Tran spends at least 10 – 15 minutes with each patient because he cares for his clients and their well-​being.
One reviewer blasted the doctor based on her friend’s experience. She never met the doctor, never called or visited the office herself and she wrote the review — how lame was that? Sorry, if you don’t directly have first-​hand experience, I don’t think you have the right to review or judge anyone.
Another reviewer trashed the doctor because he/​she couldn’t get an immediate appointment based on her urgent situation. Here’s someone who had stopped seeing the doctor for 4 years, suddenly called the office and demanded an appointment right away. When denied, got all upset. Are you a 4 years old toddler? Because that’s how my young son behaves. If you have an emergency, please go to the ER; you can’t demand to be seen by a family doctor when his schedule is fully booked. What about all those patients with appointments, the doctor should send them home because they aren’t as sick as you?
Doctors are human, too. Although we regard them highly as a group because they «save lives», there are bad doctors just as in any other profession. So, it’s such a great fortunate thing for me personally to have found Dr. Thang Tran. I highly recommend him, his service and his office to anyone who wants a caring, understanding doctor. He’s very different. He rarely wears a tie. Sometimes, he doesn’t even wear a white coat. But he wears jeans. My type of a guy!!!

Dr. Tran is a hip cool doctor who is approachable and allows you to feel comfortable with telling him about your personal medical history without the fear of judgement or questioning your lifestyle. He’s very caring and prompt with your scheduled appointment and takes his time talking to you. This is not a doctor where he has one foot in the office and the other ready to jump to his next patient like a lot of doctors overbooking for the almighty $$$. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a primary care physician.

Dr. Thang Tran is an excellent Internist. I’ve been a patient of his for five years now. He is very knowledgeable and a caring physician. I am a nurse at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and have worked and interacted with many physicians and found that he has the best bedside manner. His holistic approach to each visit made me feel at ease every time I came to see him whether it was an urgent acute problem or a chronic one. He always addresses other issues besides my current complaints and never fails to follow up on my response to any treatment he prescribed. His office staff are also warm and welcoming. I always look forward to receiving a personal live voice visit reminder versus an automated one. That personal touch of feeling welcomed, relaxed and competently cared for is really important as a patient.

I had a bad infection and needed medical attention right away. I called his office and was able to get an appointment right away. Dr. Tran is very caring and knowledgeable. He wrote me a prescription, sent me to a lab to get things checked out. I’ve also used Dr. Tran for my botox injection and laser treatment. The staff was very helpful in getting discount points from Botox for me so that helps to lower the pricing for my treatment. I come back every three months for my injections. Dr. Tran is caring, attentive and very knowledgeable!

Why the heck doesn’t Unilocal allow zero stars? This so called «DOCTOR» needs to take a class in bed side manner. My best friend goes in for a check up because he thinks he is dying. He has shortness of breath and tingling in his appendages last month. In December Thang Tran MD (mixed up for DU MA!) had a fantastic rating of 5 star on Unilocal.We thought we could depend on him being young and college educated in the States.
Apparently, his medical degree means jack to me, my dear friend, or his other patients. He waited two weeks for his blood test results to see if he had terminal cancer or high cholestrol or SOMETHING or ANYTHING… he never called him back to see if he had died in my sleep. Lam got worried and called the office back.
Ring, Ring…
An old lady, the office manager, said that they never called him because he «must have been fine.» Are you kidding me??? Does this mean that they never reviewed his file until he took the time to call in for a check up? What if something was wrong?
If his health insurance did not cover this horrible routine check up, he said that he would come back as a patient and demand for a refund. Dr Thang, if you are smart enough, you need to pretend to care about your patients and call them back personally. Your Vietnamese manager and medical assistant do not have the ability to interpret blood test results. You no longer need to include us on your list of victims.
