I have been to my share of Auto repair shops. These guys are on a different level. They tell you how it is not just try and sell you something you don’t need.
Everyone there is super helpful and just plain nice.
The owner Vince really takes care of business nice to see an actual Owner operator. You can tell his employees actually care there not just there punching a clock. I usually deal with Evan when I go there but Dan is also very helpful. Keep up the good work !

This is the best experience I’ve ever had with a mechanic. I needed a new starter and got towed here at noon on a Friday. My car was ready before 5 and is better than ever. Everyone was really friendly and the price was way below what I was anticipating. They also gave me 10% off with my AAA card. I will be coming back for all of my service!

Vince and the guys at Caars automotive are a very professional, friendly. My truck broke down on they way back to the San Fernando Valley From taking my kids to legoland & seaworld. I was able to get towed to the shop, they quickly confirmed it was my alternator that went out & went out of their way to get the job done to get me & my family back in the road. They gave me a couple options & didnt take advantage of the fact I was stranded with no other place to go. I am truly thankful for all their help!

I took my 2005 Pilot to CAAR’s a few weeks ago and received great service for a worn idler pulley that was causing lots of noise. So, when the Pilot’s battery died, I replaced it under warranty, then called ahead to CAAR’s to have the charging system and a rough idle checked. Not only did they complete the check (OK) within 30 minutes of my arrival, they did not charge me. I did not expect that. Needless to say I will be back and referring my friends. Top notch auto repair. Highly recommend. Vince runs a great operation with professional, friendly, and accommodating staff. They repair your car in a timely manner and have fair prices. The go out of their way to get the job done quickly. Anytime I call they always have room for me. I’ve never had to wait for an appointment. These are great guys and your’e in good hands at Caars.

Simply the best place ever, honest and thorough. I’m a mechanic, and they did what I could not do on my own, for a reasonable price.

Took my van in for an alignment and seeing rack dust boots on 9÷17÷15. Nice guys, however, when I got my car back it drove more like an off road jeep than the smooth ride it was before. Also the rack dust boots were held on by zip ties, even though the metal clamps that were on there when we dropped it off were perfectly usable. Had to replace two struts myself because the old ones convienently went bad after being at the shop for the hour. Not going back, nice fellas though.

We have been getting our cars served at CAAR’s for years. They have been consistently good and whatever they diagnose is ALWAYS right on the money — I guess the best thing I can say is «I TRUST THESE GUYS.» (Thats a big deal for me, I do not trust easily)

I just want to say that Caars Automotive in San Jaun Capistrano is the best experience I’ve had dealing with auto repairs. Trying to find an honest mechanic is almost impossible these days. But at Caars you never have to worry about that. The owner, Vince is very conscientious about every aspect of his business. They never try to sell you on something that you don’t need. The work is always top notch. And the price is always fair. I’ve never left feeling like I was taken advantage. Also, if there is something that they don’t excel in they will tell you and probably recommend an establishment to go to.

These guys are so HONEST! I came in ready to hand over the cash to get my brakes done. Evan said, you don’t need new brakes, just brake fluid. Amazing! We have had other work done here as well and they did a excellent job. Highly recommend Caars.

This is the most honest and dependable auto shop around. They do excellent work for a fair price and you can count on them not to rip you off… They are the best!

First off, I did not get any repairs done here.
That being said, I had to get a brake and lamp inspection done to register my car after insurance deemed my car totaled (it wasn’t by any means in my opinion). Read reviews and saw some places trying to sell you on other non necessities, not here!
Scheduled an appointment for 3:00pm and was quoted at a lil over 1 hour time. Arrived at 2:45 and checked in, took my keys. I was out earlier than 3:15, extremely quick and friendly service here. As I said, I can’t speak on their repairs, but in the instance I do need any I would highly consider taking my car here.
Price was actually cheaper than any place I found at $ 110 for the brake and lamp inspection. Vince took care of me and I would highly recommend the guys at CAARS!

My favorite tire shop (America’s Tire — Mission Viejo) recommended them for my 2011 and 2012 BMW X5. They charge less then $ 75 for excellent alignment Vs. dealership wanting close to $ 200. Also they tweaked it so that I can make sure I don’t get premature inside-​of-​tire wear and with 20k on the car, this tweak actually came in really handy too :) A+ recommendation…

The Costco San Juan tire department gives Caars as one of their suggestions for a wheel alignment (Costco will sell and install tires but doesn’t offer wheel alignments). When asked, they said Caars would be a safe bet for a full service too. I needed a 90,000 mile service which is a major one, quite expensive.
Evan gave me an estimate over the phone. When I went in I dealt with Vince who was lovely. Vince gave me a ride home in my car which I thought was clever because as he said, sometimes he can learn things about a car when he drives someone home before the service. Sure enough, he noticed a very subtle shimmy to the steering wheel when breaking at high speeds.
Vince called me during the day and suggested I have the brakes changed, which I was somewhat expecting because it had been a long time since they were replaced. He picked me up when the service was done. I drove the car back and the shimmy was gone, they’d fixed it.
When he wrote up the final invoice, it came out $ 40 above what I came up with when he added the brakes. He promptly corrected it.
Overall my experience was great, and I’ll have them service my car again in the future.

Excellent place in San Juan Capistrano for an alignment. Way less expensive than dealerships charge using the same equipment/​machine. If you want to wait the hour it takes for an alignment, there’s a nice walk/​run path out their back door. They have a handful of mechanics there, and a sign saying they’re AAA approved auto repair. It’s a good idea to call 1^st to make an appt.
