Starting from a passion for capturing visual images, David Petty began his professional photographic journey by request. Those who had seen his personal work in stills and motion pictures asked if he would shoot their wedding, or their portraits. His unique style, creativity, and film background have kept him on the edge of what’s possible, providing artistic, fine art photography and album design for weddings and portraits in Southern California.

David Petty lives in southern Orange County with his wife, Amberly and their son, James. He lives an active lifestyle and loves to spend his free time surfing, snowboarding or going on a hike with the whole family.

With a background in motion picture film and graphic design, David likes to capture the essence of dramatic storytelling in his photographs, whether it’s a newborn’s smile in a family portrait, or the passionate love connection between a newly married couple. David loves to meet new people and find ways to enrich their lives with high quality, timeless photographs that will live on for years to come.
