Specialties

I have been a Festival of Arts exhibitor since 1985.

In my classes I teach beginning to advanced students.

This is an ongoing, 3 hour, weekly class held at my studio.

These are semi private classes, each session limited to 3 students.

Learn to paint in oil, acrylic, and pastel.

Learn to break the old habits and avoid pitfalls.

My classes are designed for traditional painters. No abstract art.

I have painted landscape for 30 years and my knowledge of Plein Air technique and outdoor color are exhaustive.

My goal is for you to reach your own artistic vision whether be in landscape of still life painting.

There will be demonstrations by the instructor.

I took two workshops in Laguna Beach before signing up with Mark. I spent allot of money, found myself in a class of 12 to 15 and felt I didn’t learn anything. Mark’s classes are liimited to only three students and the one on one teaching is phenomenal. He caterings to the individual student and adjusts his teaching style accordingly. I have not had this caliber of teaching since I attended Art Center in Pasadena and I intend on continuing with Mark for a long time. If you want to learn to paint or sharpen your skills, I highly recommend this class. He is the real deal.
