This review is probably 6 years late, but I thought I’d give Dr. Ung the raving review she deserves. I had braces for 3 and a half years for crooked teeth and a mean overbite. I had some serious buck teeth in hindsight. Spent many many appointments there for adjustments and thoroughly enjoyed all of the staff and Dr. Ung. She was always very patient and respectful. The final product was probably a miracle, they were completely straight and polished down for a near perfect smile. My younger brother still sees her for his braces. My mother has almost perfect teeth and with age, experienced some movement in her teeth so she also sees Dr. Ung for retainers and night guards. It’s like we tag team the place. My mom tells me the staff still ask about me. In all seriousness, Dr. Ung is a quality orthodontist with a fantastic staff.

My mom just pulled out old photos of me as a little kid with TERRIBLE teeth, which reminded me of Dr. Ung, because her staff ended up being the ones who fixed them, giving me the straight and pearly whites that I flash today. My parents had known that I needed braces ever since all my teeth came in in about kindergarten/first grade, and when the time came, they took me to Dr. Ung, who came highly recommended from their friends. She charged one flat rate and let my parents make payments over time. I believe that it was estimated that it would take two years for the whole shebang to be complete, but as the second year anniversary of my braces came closer, it because apparent that I would need about another year and Dr. Ung had no problems accommodating that. I saw Dr. Ung from when I was in sixth grade until my freshman year in high school. I know that most kids usually hate going to the dentist, but I quite liked Dr. Ung’s office and even looked forward to going. It was just something about the kind staff, fun and bright office, getting to pick out colors for my bands, getting to take home a new toothbrush, and knowing that each time I went, my teeth were getting straighter and I’d be able to do without the braces sooner(oh, and being excused from class for a couple of hours didn’t hurt either!). Dr. Ung specializes in children’s orthodontics(though I remember seeing the occasional adult patients as well), so everyone there is great with kids, and the office is extremely kid-friendly. Based on my experience, I’d totally recommend her. Ah, memories :’)
