With over 30 years of experience and as one of the few Certified Arborists on the Central Coast, Ron has turned Bunyon Bros. into the largest tree service company in San Luis Obispo County. He holds a Class A driver’s license and graduated Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in International Business.

These guys did a great job removing some problem trees and stump grinding as well as a thorough pruning of most of our other trees and shrubs.
They were rapid, left the area clean and overall did a pretty good job.

Bill and Ron are solid professionals. They know what they are talking about– Bill is a board certified MASTER arborist!!! The whole crew was punctual, courteous and efficient. I just had this company out at my house yesterday to remove two very difficult trees. My driveway is exceptionally steep, and the trees were in a tough spot. They did the job quickly, efficiently, and most important to me, safely. I was VERY impressed. I’m a plant pathologist and work with tree companies on a regular basis, and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen more professional crew. They did an outstanding job, and were extremely friendly and helpful. They left my property cleaner than when they came, and managed to remove these two difficult trees without any damage to any structures. I wish I’d taken a picture ahead of time so you could see how tricky this job was, and they did a great job under difficult circumstances. I saw that there are couple other reviews that seems suspect to me, like somebody has a grudge. I would say to anyone feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions, I review a lot of businesses and I tell it like it is. They earned all five of the stars I gave them. Thank you so much for the outstanding job crew #2!

Bill is knowledgeable and accommodating, always prompt to return requests and schedule work. The crews are professional and complete quality work for a fair price. We have had Bunyon Bros. out to our house a few times. They showed up when scheduled and removed some very large dead pine trees. The work was prompt, fairly priced and I appreciated that they appeared to be working safely. It was tougher, dirtier work than I wanted to tackle. They appeared to enjoy it.

Bunyon Bros came out to look at the job (removing a huge tree) the same day we called, and at this point we were very impressed. He said he would call us later with a price and we never heard back from him. We ended up calling him several times and finally got a price, but he sounded drunk and said he would bring us a quote in writing. Long story short… we never heard from him again and we went with a different company… blessing in disguise!

I had Bunyon Bros out to our property three times. Giant Eucalyptus trimming/​removal (I’m in Nipomo) and general trimming on liquid Amber and magnolia. Can’t say enough good things about their cost, professionalism and quality of work. Shawn has been great to work with. Highly recommend them.

We got a very speedy response on the bid from Bunyon Brothers which was more than reasonable. They called the week they had scheduled themselves to come out; came on time and did a thorough and clean job. Can’t do much better than that. I would definitely recommend calling them for any tree job. I will not hesitate to call them for any of my tree care needs. Thanks for the professional hardwork Bunyon!!!

We love the work they did for us and the guys are a hard working team; and they aim to please. They listen to you and make sure that YOU’RE HAPPY with their service and ask if there’s anything else they can do for you!!!

I used this company because a friend of mine recommended them. They trimmed two of the palm trees in my backyard and left several dead branches. I came home from work to find that the two trees still looked really bad when they were done. When I called to complain, the owner told me that they are trained to only cut a certain amount or the tree would be in distress. He said that we should have waited to trim until June or July and would have gotten better results. I asked him why he didn’t tell me that on the phone when I scheduled it or why the man who came to do the estimate didn’t mention it. He said that I got a really good deal and that they should have charged me more. I think they charged too much as it is and now I will have to have it done twice this year! He was rude and matter-​of-​fact about it. I guess their business is doing so well that they don’t need good customer service skills. I will not be using them again or recommending them.

I used them in the past and was satisfied. Went straight to them this time and will not use them again. Met with Bill the rep. Told him what I wanted and he said he would be there when his men started, to show them what to do. He did not show up and as far as I was concerned, did not trim to the extent that was agreed on. Though his men were nice, they left a big mess. They said they were in a hurry to get to their next job. After I called and complained, they came back after it was dark and attempted to clean up. They still left a pile of debris. I spent the weekend before cleaning out all of my gutters. I had to clean them out again because of all the debris that had blown into them. I felt like I paid a pretty good price and did not get a good job out of it. The least they could have done was knock off a little for the extra work I had to do. I will get bids next time and Bunyon Bros. will not be included.

Definitely a happy customer! First time user of a tree trimming service and acted upon a referral from a friend. Our backyard can only be accessed through side gates and our 20′ avocado tree had to be shortened and shaped and 25+’ out-​of-​control yucca tree required limbs removed that overhung neighbors’ yards and were intertwined with utility wires. Bunyon Bros. provided an on-​site estimate; showed up on the agreed upon date and time with all the heavy-​duty equip. they needed and got the job done in less time (and expense) than estimated. They were knowledgeable, patient and willing to please while we decided which limbs should go and which ones should stay. Great guys! Will use them again.
