Alba Action

My Yamaha quad is fully loaded with Alba Racing parts (exhaust, fuel controller, etc) So when I took my boys out riding to Gorman and was told I could not use my quad — because it did not have a spark arrestor — I called Alba Action. since I had shopped there before. Approximately 10÷17÷13 — I spoke to the owner «Phil» and he said he knew exactly which part I needed after I described my «oval tip» exhaust design.; I ordered and paid. Once it came in the mail, I realized it was the wrong part and would not work. I called Phil again and told him the situation. He said it was odd, but I must of had a different exhaust (genius) and for me to email him pictures of my exhaust and measurements of the exhaust tip. I did exactly that and from this point on… I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM PHIL VIA PHONE OR EMAIL EVER AGAIN!!! I have tried over 3 times to email and over 15 times to call Phil and other departments, but no one answers and it is always a voice-​mail. It is now 12÷22÷13 and I’m starting to think that they went out of business!!! If they have not gone out of business, then it is straight out RUDE to not get back to a great client (or any customer) and give them the courtesy they deserve. Stop HIDING behind your email and v/​m like cowards and respond!!! The new owners (2009) of Alba Action are worse than the prior owners! I will never shop here again and will tell everyone I know.

Talk about a dream come true, the original owners of Alba closed their doors August 2009 and the employees loved the product so much, they bought the place!
I buy all my aftermarket ATV parts here now and the Team at
rock like no ones business!
I highly recommend calling them or stopping by the website to get whatever you need because these guys (and gal) ROCK!

Oh man, I really dont know where to begin. The only reason they get two stars and not one is because they are not total screw-​ups, just mostly screwed up. They suffer from what most motorcycle sales places suffer from, pretty girls working who were obviously hired for looks and have little to no knowledge about motorcycles, and mechanics who probably passed their training less than a year before getting a job there.
I purchased a motorcycle there in 2006, and was told I would receive a 10% discount on any parts I purchased form them. There was no limitation on «items that were on sale/​clearance» mentioned. I only ever get flak from the sales staff when I try to get it applied, and have had them flat out refuse to give me discounts on items that are on sales (I had to talk to a manager, but he eventually approved it).
I had them do two valve adjustments, the first one came out ok, but the second time they had my bike for 2 ½ weeks until they finally were able to finish it and give it back.
In all, if you have to shop there, make sure you know exactly what you want and don’t let sales/​parts people push you around.
If you want good service, I eventually tried out Poway Motorcycle near Alba and have never been dissatisfied. I continue to use them today even though I’ve moved to La Jolla for school.

First let me start by saying when I was searching for my first bike I contacted alba and they tried to sell me a used gsxr 1000. My friends who are experienced riders were appalled that these guys would try to sell a first time rider a monster bike. Oh well you cant blame a shop for trying to sell. My second issue came after I purchased a kawi 636. I was living in scripps ranch at the time so my proximity to the shop was great. I took my bike to get a smaller spocket on the front after approximately 8 months of riding and felt I was ready. They completed the work swiftly, but when I went to pick it up it had been dented on the gas tank right in the crease. It looked like a brake lever from another bike had been resting on it. Oh well again accidents happen. I expressed that I was bummed and they offered (after going through 2 visits and refusing to take the bike home) to fix it. 2 weeks go by and when it was supposed to be fixed I called and they stated «well were giong to have to replace it». No crap dude I could have told them that. While I was there the service manager came to me and said «well we could fix it or we could give you $ 200 store credit. «Its about the same» he said. I said I’d think about it and went home and called my insurance as well as other shops for quotes. Well turns out a new gas tank shell runs about $ 400 dollars, so now I was pissed. They tried to screw me again. Long story short I brought my dad to the shop (a little demeaning for me, but my dad is tougher and not as much of a pushover as I). It took them almost 7 weeks to get the bike back to me and never called when they said they would. I will never go back, and I urge you to be careful with this shop. Im super nice and i work in the service industry so I GET IT. But I draw the line at getting taken advantage of.
